Chapter: 4. The King's game.-some selfish choices are made-SoniaAll the women were made to before a huge cliff. We were pushed and clustered together, as we were made to wait for the king to show. It was damp around us. Shaking and shivering, we all watched with trembling hearts and whimpered as the black clouds roared and terror loamed around us.I was standing pale and weak. The girl who had told me what was to happen was still standing next to me, softly crying as we all faced the cliff. I had a sheltered child. I had always been loved and adored. I had a sweet man arranged to be married to me. I had family, I had a person who I considered a friend. And because of one person's extreme hatred hidden by fake smiles, I was about to become a victim of some heinous games.Soon, a woman stepped towards the edge of the cliff and looked down at all of us. Chapter: 3. The Warning-The warnings haunted the Island-SoniaI woke up in a strange place-a cell to be exact. It was eerie, smelly and had me waking up because of its stench. There was sobs...muffled sighs of hysteria echoing from around me. I rubbed my eyes and looked around at several women-some young, some old, but all of them trapped alongside me in this rusty and square-shaped underground room. I was glad to see a lot of humans, but their terror-filled cries were horrifying me...hurting me."What is going on?" I pressed myself against the wall, looking around in confusion and fear-talking to anyone who could answer, yet all the women were busy sobbing...fearing something that was going to happen. There were two girls, around my age, sitting beside me. I shivered as they continued crying into their palms. The place was in chaos. It was too dark, eerie and spooky. I remember falling the dark hole, after being eerily pushed, but I had

Chapter: 2. The Dark Hole-Some wild roses take a long time to wilt-SoniaI was shivering, shaking. I had managed to outrun that dangerous woman, but I was now lost somewhere in the forest. My heart was pounding so loud. The forest seemed so dangerous, and I was literally roaming around completely weaponless. The words of that strange woman had completely creeped me out. I couldn’t understand what she meant with ‘The King’. Was she completely delusional, or was there really a wild man roaming around on this island?Terrified, I kept eyeing my surroundings. I had to be safe, I had to survive this and get back home…make Geena pay. Huge bushes were shifting beside me. It was so dark, and I had to constantly pu

Chapter: 1. Trapped on His Island-Swiped from betrayal towards happiness-SoniaIt was dark, extremely cold, and I had just washed up on the shore of a rather dark island. My limbs, my heart...everything was hurting so bad. I had never seen this coming; having Geena do this to me was so insane. My best friend, the orphan girl who had always been so shy to speak in front of our teachers, who didn't have the heart to hurt a fly, she had been holding such a hideous amount of hurt for me. The disbelief and shock were immense.

Chapter: Chapter 5: The First ClueDetective MariaI was sipping on my cup of coffee, thoughtfully focusing on the mystery. Asmara was sitting on the chair placed beside me. All the police officers were actively moving around the hall, making calls and trying to solve the mystery. I had given four officers to read the books sent to me.Clicking my pen against the desk, I was thinking...trying to make sense of Black Fist's message.'Only Fools chase after deadly traps'The cooling fan was pleasantly cooling the air around me, the lamp reflecting on my brown wooden desk. I had my feet folded and rested on the legs of my revolving chair. Asmara was studying the note that Black Fist had sent to me.Earlier, one officer had asked me details for what had happened at my place. Many officers had already been sent to search my place for any clues.I had told the truth...the blatant truth and explained that I believed that the Black Fist hadn't left any fin

Chapter: Chapter 4: The BeginningDetective MariaThe next day, I stepped into the chief's office while carrying the white piece of notice in a white bag. I had broken the 'glass' shield to get it. She was talking on her phone, with a load of files placed on her desk. Upon seeing me, a pleasant smile appeared on her face.

Chapter: Chapter 3: The VisitDetective MariaSooner Kit shop had been completely robbed. The shop's owner was an old man who seemed to no longer have the heart to go back inside his shop. He was crying, sobbing and sniffing, as one police officer sympathetically slapped his back. I had decided to step inside the shop and look around...observe the crime scene carefully. I would prefer observing before taking pictures. The shop was small. It had glass decors and brown wooden cupboards. A tube light was enough to light this place, and there were no backdoors. No getaways.

Chapter: Chapter 2: The Case StudyDetective MariaHours went by, and I kept studying his profile. The police hardly knew anything about this guy. Simply the descriptions of the crimes and the notes left by him had been jotted down in the case filed. According to the police, he would mostly steal expensive artefacts, delicate crafts, vases, everything that showed he had an artistic choice. There was also this pattern. After every museum, he would rob a jewellery store. It didn't really make any sense until I had noticed that the jewellery store he would rob would be located near the robbed museum. That showed he moved from place to place....he was choosing to rob one area after another, and now the real question was which area he was going to rob next. Though, I knew he still had

The insult had to be even huger for the police, because like always, the criminal mastermind had left a token...an untraceable card that mocked the police to catch him.All the officers were gathered around the crime scene. The art museum had been so beautiful. It had included abstract paintings, pictures of greenery and unanimated things. It was the most famous in town, and just in one night, all of its pictures had been stolen. The police had arrived at this place in the morning

Chapter: Her ColumnI write when I am bored, tired or just in need of a friend. Being bullied makes me anxious for happiness, being recognized as the 'quiet' girl makes me thrive for words. Thus, with the spill of silence, I pick up my notebook and write.I craft words, stanzas, bits and paste them on an online magazine called 'Be Kind'. I want to play my part, I want others to feel what I feel. And that is why I decide to write...hear people listen to the peace of beautiful and motivational poems.Picking my pen up, I start writing the poem inspired by today's events.'Don't allow people to judge your worth''Don't allow people to count your talents''Treat your college bullies with patience''Treat your grades as numbers'After writing this, I felt like smiling. I rushed to my broken and shabby laptop, switched it on, quickly typed my little poem and uploaded my works. The likes given made me feel so calm and happy, glad that I was ab
