His Ego

His Ego

"What is this?" He asked, not even bothering to look at the canvas in front of me. Instead, his eyes were locked in mine. I swallowed my saliva, chills running down my spine. I felt my palms getting sweaty as my legs nervously started bouncing up and down. Without giving me time to answer, he took a step closer to me, eyes still locked in mine. Each time he inched closer, I used my right foot to slowly push myself and the stool back. It seemed to be the only option to get away from him; until he forced his hands below the sides of my thighs, holding the stool in place. He released a soft chuckle as he eyed me from my eyes, down to my . "You're beautiful," he said. From his voice, I couldn't tell if he was being serious, or messing around. It sounded sincere, however there was a smirk on his face. The smirk that he always has on his face when he's found an amusing target. Then he averted his attentions back to my eyes. His expressions softened up the moment his eyes landed back on mine. His smirk disappeared. I cleared my throat and broke the eye contact. I looked down at my palms as I rubbed the sweat against my jeans, "What do you want, Landon?" I asked, almost whispering. He stumbled back with a surprised look on his face. "Aubrey." Landon Carthy is an arrogant boy, who knowns to have absolutely no care in the world. Making girls suffer feels great to him. But what happens when a new girl in town becomes one of his victims? Will she allow him to walk upon her like all the other girls do?

Chapter: Epilogue
We were sitting facing each other on the floor of my garage. His body was sat in the middle of my legs, as they were propped up against his sides. One of his hand was holding on to my ankle, while the other was holding the rest of his body up. His legs were sprawled out for me to sit in between. A smile had crept onto Landon's face. My lips tugged upwards as I uncontrollably smile at his attractiveness. He removed his hand from my ankle and started fiddling with his gold necklace, grabbing the cross and tugging it in a semi-circle. I watched him as my hands were casually resting in front of me. It had been about five minutes since we were in this position.

Chapter: Chapter 45
A week passes by and everything that I've wished for in the beginning of the season seemed to fulfill itself. The debt was quickly removed from our family's history, and my dad received a promotion at work. Our family was still as happy as we were when things had hit rock bottom. "Little," Austin spoke up, shoving me slightly as I was sitting at the kitchen table. I looked up at his call, glancing from my cereal bowl; milk slightly dripping down my chin as I reached for the napkin to quickly wipe it. He chuckled and played around with his breakfast, before continuing, "Why didn't you tell us before you got it dropped?" &n

Chapter: Chapter 44
Furrowing my eyebrows together, I leaned towards the canvas as I squinted my eyes at my painting. Trying to be careful as possible, I dabbed the thin paintbrush onto the board, focusing on the line as much as possible. To my luck, I felt a hand on the back of my head. Before I could react, the upper half of my body was pushed, knocking myself off of the stool and onto my painting. A loud gasp escaped from my lips as I watched my artwork in front of my knocking down. The bully stood there and was shocked too. I turned over slowly towards Landon and glared at him. My fists clenched as I felt a strong sense of annoyance rush up my body. &

Chapter: Chapter 43
I held the check in both of my hands, staring down at the paper in awe from all the zeros scribbled into the box. I couldn't imagine happiness after receiving this piece of paper that could hold my whole family's fortune. A small smile was swept across my lips before I opened the sketchbook, sticking the check in the middle of my two favorite sketches before shoving it into my book stand. I breathed out in relief before backing away from the bookshelf, staring at it in awe. I can't believe it. I rubbed my palms against my dark washed jeans and walked over to my bag, swinging it over my shoulder before I made my way out of the bedroom. Austin chose to sleep

Chapter: Chapter 42
After hours of waiting, Landon finally texted me back. 7:54 PM Landon At Scoop. Second thoughts never occurred into my head as I ran down stairs and throwing on a random hoodie of Austin that was casually hanging on the railing. I couldn't manage to wipe off the huge grin that was plastered on my lips as I hopped into the car that I've abandoned. Having an older brother definitely had its perks, but since he's away now there's no other wa

Chapter: Chapter 41
After that night, a week went by without any of us speaking out about what happened. Austin managed to convince our father to let him get a part time job, in order to help pay at least just a little portion of our debt. The deal only went through for Austin to work, and for me to only focus in school. Landon and I exchanged a few normal conversations, but we somehow kept our distance. Meanwhile, Colton, Bella and I caught up the past few days about all the stuff that happened when we were all separated. I couldn't work up to nerve to tell them about the debt though, there was possibly no way they would've sit still hearing about it. Colton's current girlfriend is named Cathy Johnson. He explained to Bella and I about their two year long relationship, until they had

Fearless

Fearless

Aurora is a normal seventeen year old, happy and content with life. However, this all changes the day her boyfriend of two years, James, breaks up with her. Naturally, she's crushed. The icing on the cake is why he did it. Apparently she's 'too boring'. Determined to prove him wrong, she strikes a deal with the school's notorious bad boy, Wyatt King. She'll tutor him in maths if he teaches her to be reckless, fearless and careless. Can Aurora overcome the odds and do what she planned? Or perhaps someone will stop her on her mission to win over James. Maybe this isn't as easy as she thought it would be. Maybe she takes things a little too far. And just maybe making a deal with the bad boy isn't such a smart idea.

Chapter: Chapter 23
After completely thrashing both Wyatt and Eli–five times in a row because Eli thought it was a fluke and demanded several rematches making him look even more stupid–I got Wyatt to take me home. Eli decided to come with us so I got stuck in the back seat, totally unfair if you ask me. "You comin' with Wyatt to the track on Wednesday, sweet cheeks?" Eli asks me after nattering with Wyatt for about five minutes. "The track?" I ask, a confused expression on my face. Before Eli can respond Wyatt cuts him off. "No she's not Eli, she's not ready for that."

Chapter: Chapter 22
I've spent the last hour pacing around my temporary dressing room and it's safe to say that I might just puke. Camilla said it would only be a half hour break but it's taken way longer to get Wyatt ready, as I've said hair and makeup takes donkeys years. Me modelling with Wyatt. Why on earth did anyone think that would be a good idea? Actually, why did anyone think me modelling full stop was a good idea? I'm so camera shy, hate the spotlight and am just plain awkward around people I don't know. Who on earth thought those were good qualities for a model?! I hear a soft

Chapter: Chapter 21
I start to shake in my chair. I can't do this. What was I thinking? I'm going to make a fool out of myself. I'm no model. Fucking hell, nothing can save me from this. Why the hell did I agree to this? What is wrong with me? I'm such an idiot. The lady doing my hair notices my trembling and sends me a kind smile. "What's wrong with you?" She asks soothingly in her thick Irish accent. "I'm just really nervous," I tell her, "I've never had to do anything like this before." &n

Chapter: Chapter 20
I still have no idea where we're going, it's always a mystery with Wyatt. Fifteen minutes go by before we pull up in front of Wyatt's house. I frown in confusion. Why would he bring me here? I voice my thoughts and ask him just that as I get out of the car. "You'll see green eyes," he smirks. Oh, I have a fun new drinking game. Take a shot every time Wyatt smirks. On second thought don't do that, you'll probably end up in the hospital due to alcohol poisoning. I follow Wyatt into the house, curious to find out his plan. He leads me to a small room next to one of their kitch

Chapter: Chapter 19
My Monday started off like every other, with my alarm blaring, forcing me to get up. Reluctantly, I pull the sheets off of me and start my morning routine. Forty-five minutes late Ava's outside my house honking like no one's business. I bid farewell to my mum and siblings before slipping into my converse, grabbing my bag and heading towards her car. "Learn some patience woman," I snap at my best friend in a joking manner. She shrugs off my comment and starts the drive to school. We make idle chitchat in the car, nothing important just how our weekends were, minus the Wyatt parts, obviously.

Chapter: Chapter 18
It's dark outside. We've been driving for about twenty minutes, not too long but the sun doesn't stay up past about five at this time of year. Yay for shitty weather. After another five or so minutes Wyatt finally parks his car. We must've driven quite far away considering how fast he drives. I'm still not a fan of his speeding and I doubt I ever will be but he doesn't listen no matter how much I badger him. It's a lost cause I suppose. "Where are we?" I ask as I take off my seatbelt. "You'll see," he replies, a smirk on his face. &

| Charlotte P.O.V"Are you sure about this?" I whisper, clasping my palms together nervously. Aaron glances down at me, before nodding his head. My heart is thumping rapidly against my chest, and I tune out of the world around me. The only thing I can focus on is Jason, running away from us. His over-sized school sweatshirt, causes his sleeves to hang loosely and he's dragging his little Spider-man schoolbag towards the swing set. He looks... happy. Excited. Content. Independent. Aaron follows my gaze, watching our son. He reaches out and takes my hand, his palm soft against mine. This action pulls

Chapter: Chapter 52
He looks up.His wrists are in handcuffs, and he's sitting by a desk. In a bare room. All alone.I inhale sharply, as his dark brown eyes slowly lift up to meet mine. And as soon as we make eye contact, his face glimmers with life. The flicker of a smirk, stretches across his lips as he rises to his feet. The only thing separating us is the glass wall."Will they let me inside to talk to him?" I plead, turning my head to look at my Dad. He glances down at me before turning his gaze to the policewoman. She sighs heavily, taking out her keys and unlocking the side door. As soon as the door swings open, I push past both my Dad and the policewoman in order to get to him. Aaron has already risen to his feet, and I race towards him before wrapping my arms around his neck.God, I've missed him so much."You're okay." I whisper, my voice muffled a

Chapter: Chapter 51
"So there's a baby inside of you?" Lily's eyes widen as she places a hand on my stomach. I simply laugh, taking her hand in mine and nodding. She grins excitedly. "Can I be the godmother?""Of course you can!" I giggle."Is it a boy or a girl?" she questions further. Mrs Johnson looks up from drying the dishes before shaking her head sadly. She's been on her feet all day, doing everything she can, for Aaron. I can tell by the way she walks, talks and moves. She's stressed. I feel sorry for her."I don't know yet." I admit. "I hope it's a boy. Raising a girl seems like such a challenge.""It'll have your kindness, your hair and Aaron's eyes." she giggles. "When Aaron comes back from camp, you have to tell him. He'll be so happy."My heart plummets at the mention of his name. Although, we all know where Aaron is right now, Lily has no idea.

I groan, vomiting into the toilet basin once again. Tessa proceeds to hold back my hair, as I wash out my mouth and drink another glass of water. Chapter: Chapter 49
I scrunch my eyes at the bright light that is sipping through my closed eyelids. I feel powerless and heavy. The room is pristine clean and gloomy. Typical hospital bed, IV and monitors beeping. The walls are a sickly green colour and the linens are gray.Suddenly, I hear the movement of someone standing right next to me. A hand takes mine, and I angle my head slightly, hoping to see Aaron. But instead, my mother is gazing down at me, her eyes clouding over with worry and anxiety."Good God, you're okay." she whispers, smiling sadly. But I can see the tears forming in her eyes. "You had me so worried, Charlotte. I can't believe you just disappeared without calling or texting. My baby girl..."My stomach churns with guilt and sadness. I sit up properly on the hospital bed, lifting a hand to feel my temple. There is a bandage wound around my head, but the pain is still there. I turn to my

Chapter: Chapter 48
"Are you still sore?"I groan, before shrugging my shoulders and turning over on my side to face him properly. Aaron grins, gently tracing the curves of my lips with his thumb, his palm resting gently on my cheek. I close my eyes, exhausted. "A bit. You were my first."He doesn't say anything at first, before gently tilting up my chin, and pressing his lips against mine softly. "You were my best."2 hours later...."Aaron, where's the bathroom again?" I frown, dragging my fingers through my messy hair. He's still lying under the covers, and doesn't respond to me. Huffing angrily, I slap his arm through the sheets and he groans, turning over on his side."Leave me be." he grumbles, his voice muffled from the sheets. Somehow, his voice sounds even sexier when he's half asleep. If that's even possible. I grin, slapping his arm once again.
