It's just me, Emma.

It's just me, Emma.

"I finally graduated from my hell of a secondary school, hoping to start over at my new school, a senior, with a clean slate. Happy to get away from the horrible treatment i endured at my old school, but i guess that was too much for me to ask for, because, wherever you go, people will be people, mean. I mean, i know that starting at a new school, making new and good connections and all that isn't easy, so when i made my own group of friends, i thought myself lucky. Well, that was before i knew how bad people could be." Emma tries to navigate her way through her new school, Emerald high, while she tries to avoid a repetition of her past. But it seems like she is cursed, because her past trouble follows her there too. ***************** just a light and simple novel, take a break from all the heavy stuff!! Chapter: Chapter 4 - Safe.
When I wake up, I'm temporarily confused about where I am and what day it is because of the dream I had. When I remember I let out a sigh of relief because it's Friday, then I also remember that today is the day I'm supposed to face the disciplinary committee, and for the umpteenth time, I close my eyes and imagine sending invisible daggers at Edith.

What the hell? I haven't even been here a month, and I'm already in trouble forGod knows what!.Before I could protest, the bell rang and break was over so we were sent back to class. We have language class before we have go to club meetings by 3pm - 4pm. Language is not so bad, we have the chance to choose what class we would take between French, Spanish, and Italian, so for someone like me that's always wanted to learn French but was too lazy to do it myself this i

Chapter: Chapter 2 - Me.
When I and my twin brother got home my mom was already back from work and in the kitchen washing goat meat. Oh no, she wants to cook soup. The thought brings my mood down because cooking will postpone my sweet reunion with my bed. We drop in to greet her, we're about to rush upstairs before she calls us back, [shit!], and we thought we could avoid the questions."Where are you guys rushing to? Won't you greet me properly and gist me about your day?" she comes out of the kitchen and sits down in the parlour so we have to sit down too.I can't say I or my siblings are exactly close to my mother, we aren't too close with our dad either but it's better with him because flogging isn't his style.I mean flogging a child for almost every little fuck up for years can have that effect, as we grew older we learned where and how to hide her canes so she doesn't find them and eventually she got tired of replacing it and gave up.

Chapter: Chapter 1 - Progress.
I've been going to this school for a week and I have made absolutely no friends. That's probably due to the fact that I'm not making any effort whatsoever, or because everyone in this damn class already has their own group of friends and they're not looking for any new additions.Well either way I'm still friendless. The fact that I also just started here doesn't help my case either. Emerald secondary school, it sort of sounds like some posh private school doesn't it? Well it is.I think it's the only school that's different from every other school in Nigeria because it's more modernized than most and they offer more courses than the standard ones.I heard that the school was built and is being managed by a foreigner, if that's true then it explains a lot. The classrooms are mostly clean with grey tiled floors and smooth walls painted white that aren't peeling or showing signs of a
