Chapter: Chapter 1The clouds were settled out, as the sun was slowly starting to rise over the horizon; it was a brisk summer morning. The sun, not quite risen yet, but the night is already fading from the sky. Alica sits cross-legged in the middle of a small garden on the other side of the fields by her house. Her warm breaths freeze in the crisp early morning air. It was these few fleeting hours that disappear in a wisp of time that she enjoyed the most; twilight is her favorite time of the day. She finds it the most relaxing, bringing peace to her mind, solace to her very soul.She drew the air into her lungs in a rapid burst of three, and then exhaled it out again slowly over the next ten seconds. This was the meditation style she learned from her father at a very young age. She once again filled her lungs with the fresh air of her home village with the irregular rhythm.
