Chapter: The GuardiansThree young men joined Ichirou as he returned to the village."Well?""The Priestess seems safe for now." Ichirou glanced at them. "What happened? What were you doing for all those demons to break through?"The shortest of the three, a young man by the name of Kazuya protested, "Hey, I was in the west, I had no idea what happened!""I'm stationed in the east," Ginjiro, a slender man in purple explained."They broke through the North front, I couldn't find Noh anywhere," Hisahito, a tall young man in robes of a scholar noted. "Jona and Gon went to scout for him.""Good. Junichirou will be watching over the priestess, the rest of you go back to your stations. Also, a day from now, go and introduce yourself to the priestess and go distribute her doves at the area you're guarding.""Doves?" Kazuya raised a brow."Very well then." Hisahito looked to Ginjiro who nodded."We'll return."

Chapter: Guardian DovesLike a skipped stone fallen to the bottom of a pond, Chihiro had never crashed so heavily before in her lifetime. When she awoke she felt refreshed.Upon emerging from her tent she noticed children camping out nearby, their old fashioned clothing reminded her where she was. With a sigh, she shuffled back to her wood carving station and got back to work. As she finished carving her first bird, she heard yelling."Children hide quickly!" An older girl came running down the path, quickly the children dived into bushes, and Chihiro couldn't help blinking. What was happening?"Who are you?" The girl, not recognizing her aimed at her with a slingshot.Seriously, the first thing she's doing when she gets her inheritance money is building a wall between her and all of these crazy people!FWOOSH!The sound of shouts and zipping through the air, made both girls look up to see a group of large owls gliding ov

Chapter: Yamaguchi VillageAs Chihiro walked through the countryside, the sky went from pitch black to blue.Dawn was approaching, but Chihiro's favorite time of day was this short interval of time when the sky was just a beautiful Egyptian blue. It's almost as if time stops, it feels as if the whole world is asleep.Chihiro walked gazing up at the sky as the sky became brighter and brighter. By the time the sun emerged, she had finally arrived."Here it is. The old abandoned Yamaguchi shrine." Chihiro held up a letter she retrieved from her pocket and held it up to the signboard. The kanji matched. "Finally."Once upon a time, there was a greedy old man who didn't care about his family.Or at least, so I'm told by my parents. When I woke up three years ago, I was told I got in an accident, the hair on my head had to be completely shaven off, it's been three years now and my memories haven't returned. But, I discover

Pulling out her smartphone the girl checked the time.3:52 AM"The witching hour?"As she continued down the street she began to film the road ahead of her."Minasan, O.hai.you Go.zai.ma.su!" (Good. Amara's Diary
As I moved the skeleton of my new bed next to the window, I felt a gaze. Outside my window, was the house next door. The house shape was similar to ours, so it also had a window facing mine at the same level. Standing there on the other side was a skinny Japanese boy.
As soon as I laid eyes on him, he stiffened, then shyly smiled and waved. His hair was all over the place, seeing him in his tanktop I thought to myself that he must've just rolled out of bed.
But wasn't it the afternoon already?
The boy says something but of course I can't hear him with my window closed so I slide it open.
"Eto....hi." He tried in English.
If someone were to tell me later I'd come to care about him deeply, I'd find it hard to believe. For as long as I could remember I had always felt empty. And that emptiness, I hid on instinct.

Chapter: Similar Tastes. As I faceplanted at the front counter at the cafe where Amara worked. The song "Black Wings" blasted into my ears. It's such an aggressive song, and that's not a bad thing, but the thing is, it's just too aggressive. The energy is always at a high there's no flow or switch up in the beat..."How did it go?" Amara asked as she slid me a mango smoothie accompanied by a cheeseburger.I grabbed the tray.I had finally managed to work up the courage to properly audition if I just bitched about it now what would she think of me?But it didn't take me saying much as she tucked a hand underneath the chin while studying me."You look... drained.""Am I that transparent?""Did something happen?""It's just... awkward right now with my new bandmates, they don't like me.""Bandmates? Aren't you supposed to be a composer?"

Chapter: Hey! Listen!Everyone approved was waiting in the auditorium, one by one, we'd be called by our numbers and given key cards to a studio room. There were about 20 people in total that made it pass the process. Since the company was new, I suppose it's not surprising, still I thought it would have been more of a selective process..."Number 42!"My number was finally called."Black Block, Studio A." I was handed a key card and Id, and given instructions. As I headed down the hall, excitement filled me. I'll be able to make tons of music, working with tons of different people. This is going to be so much fun!Such were my thoughts before sliding the door open. Two guys were in the room, waiting.I greeted them."Hello, I'm Fukuda Kagami, I look forward to working with you...""Ah, you can call me Hatori." An older bald fellow with shades nodded in return, was he a

Chapter: The Hobo that doesn't treasure himselfIt felt like I was dreaming.Today was the day, nothing could stop me not even mom who saw me off at the door."Are you wearing that?" I heard her say but it didn't register."Congratulations on making it in, Kagami-kun!" That following Sunday on my way to the company, I ran into Mrs. Amamiya. She was a tall lady with a nice figure, whatever manner she styled her hair in it was always a burnt orange color that emphasized her honey brown eyes that were accentuated even further by her cat eyeliner. What usually happens when someone first meets her is they end up gawking and staring not listening to a thing she says, they'll just nod. I'd like to think I'm past that phase now. I smiled instead."Thank you!""Are you on your way there right now?""Yes."She looked me up and down.I could feel my blood freeze for a moment as the look in her

Chapter: Y*U FAIL"Huh?"The other numbers that walked in seemed just as surprised as me.For a brief second, time stopped. Did I fail? But I just got here! I could see myself leaving the building here seeing Amara's disappointed expression. That day at school, her twinkling brown eyes that dimmed into a soulless void."You failed? Oh..."My very reality was on the verge of shattering into pieces.No. No. Amara wouldn't say that.*Even if by some chance those lovely people turn out to be dipshits and reject you Kagami, we can always turn to whotube!*But was that just her way of comforting me?"...have completely no sense of style for a rock artist. Your hairstyle and guitar are the only things that truly embody the spirit of rock. Let's hope your performance isn't as lacking." I heard only half of what she had said."Stop intimidating the contestant, Ms. Yumena." A bald man wearing shades spok

Chapter: The Day of ReckoningThe building was nicer looking than I anticipated. Normally most talent agencies let their exterior become a bit dusty and worn but this tall black building with purple-tinted windows towered over me. I froze up.A small hand was placed on my back, it radiated warmth as it nudged me forward. I turned around."Aren't you going in?" Amara tilted her head at me. Today big golden checkmarks dangled from her ears. The shirt she was wearing today had the picture of an American actor, Shy Lebouff posing his signature pose. The three words were printed on it. "Just do it." No caps today."You were coming?"With folded arms, she nodded."I'll be waiting for you, out here.""But, it's kinda hot out...""I'm going to wait here." She repeated herself firmly."O-okay." There was no use arguing with her when she was making such an adamant expression.Amara would be waiting out here for me. Oddly enough this newfound pressure calmed me

Chapter: What will y*u do for the rest of y*ur life if not music? She ignored me on our walk home as well, even though I made sure to keep up with her. Her whole being radiated negative energy that threatened to suck me in and obliterate me if I so even uttered a word that entered her subspace. It wasn't a pleasant feeling. I had seen her argue with her Mother before and it was scary. But I didn't want to lose her. When I finally mustered the courage to say something she had already made it to her porch steps and closed the door with a quiet click. It was equivalent to someone chucking a glass of water. I felt cold and humiliated. Did she think I was a loser? She didn't even say goodbye...I walked home and as soon as I did Mom's eyes were twinkling."Well? What song will you play for the audition?""Huh?""Hmm?" A question sign hung over her head."..." I raked my fingers through the front of my hair and let out a big sigh.It looks like this morning, she must've talked about i

Sisters Soul Linked
Her older sister once said this while watching her sketch the features of a corpse, "Once we leave this town, I'll send you to a prestigious art school." Her older sister's smile radiated warmth.
This promise was made three years ago. And ever since then she's been having strange vivid dreams of fighting wars in a fantasy-like world.

S I D E N O T E:
Hi! I'm Bisa, an aspiring writer fresh out of community college, I love writing and my dream one day is to either have my stories end up as an anime or a video game. Too ambitious right?
If you've read my stories before it becomes how obvious how fixated I am on isekai, video game setting type novels. If there is something you love please leave comments!
Sisters Soul Linked is inspired by a thriller movie I once saw called "Beneath" I found the connection between the sisters beautiful.
Song Lina is your typical bad ass, she's cool and sassy, though to those who aren't close to her she appears indifferent. Her beauty is a bombshell level. In a normal story, she would be the protagonist.
But this isn't that kind of story.

When Qing Anna laid eyes on the city before her, she couldn't help feeling irritable. "Isn't this a Kingdom?""The Village Hidden in Jade Mist is a village, the village chief is its King and the citizens its villagers. They started off small in the beginning but eventually grew to the size you see today." Madame Ting slowly smiled while explaining this as she lifted her gaze to a fancy inn that towered above.Qing Anna pursed her lips at

Chapter: Within RangeNow that she had thought about it, she never suffered any injuries before when she was in her original world. Such thoughts flitted through Qing Anna's mind as she laid on her back on a futon at Madame Ting's place; a small room in the back of a tavern. The incense she lit made Qing Anna drowsy."Just relax and fall asleep..." She heard Madame Ting say as she poked needles into her injured arm.Qing Anna still didn't trust this woman, but she closed her eyes and let herself succumb to it.Madame Ting glanced at the sleeping child and slowly smiled. She took a sharp needle a maleovelent aura radiated off her being as she suddenly stabbed the needle but before it could break skin, transparent spikes erupted from the child's body, luckily Madame Ting had anticipated this in time and retreated towards the doorway. The spikes retracted, the child sat up but this time her eyes glowed an egytpian blue color."Who dares?!-She blinked and fur

Please let Vice Commander Bo lead the charge.""Captain Bo?"
