LOGINCaden's POV
I scratched my hair and heaved a deep sigh, furious about the project. Staring at the screen, I couldn't help but pound my fist on the table and screech in anger. Ruined for the tenth time.
Automatically, the door opened and vomited two humans. One I was relieved to see and the other I wished never even existed.
Adrian walked in with a little guest of mine.
"Hey, bro!" He yelled and we slapped bodies together out of habit.
"What's up!"
"Its all cool, man. I brought her here and now I need to be off. As in, out!" he settled.
"Whoa - wait up, bro. Help me out," I pleaded with my eyes doing all the work.
"The ball is in your court so play it. You be the man, dude! With that breathtaking hair and those muscles, I don't think you'll need much help," he complimented and stared at the work I took time creating and destroying.
"You've been on this for the longest time," he lowered his head and scrolled my computer with the mouse.
"Yeah and its frustrating," I hissed and shook my head.
"Anyway, you don't want to keep her waiting, so go do something!" He pointed and walked upstairs to his room, whistling the tunes from one of his childish movies.
Inhaling a deep breath, I calmed myself down and went over to a guest of mine that pondered through my house with her piercing eyes.
"Hi," she started naturally as I sat on an opposite couch, crossing my legs and shoved my hair back away from my face.
I didn't reply that. It was a pointless statement, anyway. What should I say? Hi back? Or is it hello?
"So, its nice to meet you," she tried again in graceful simplicity and that's when my brain stopped in actions.
She was quite different from Mackenzie or any of her friends. Being rich and an only child, I expected a tough bratty ass but she seemed simple, beautiful and just unique in a way even I couldn't understand. I've spent a million nights with girls I can't even remember but she seemed like the unique one out.
She fiddled with her bracelet, probably feeling awkward about her talking. It was awfully quiet and dad wouldn't be so happy to hear I didn't say a thing.
"Caden's the name," I spoke up, exuding the normal graceful aura with my hair perfectly in place as I intentionally crawled up a smirk to my lips.
She raised her head slowly and rested a hand on her hip. I blew out my cheeks. What is she doing? Girls drool over me. She isn't an exception at all.
"Mercedes," she replied and toyed with a lock of her hair.
I couldn't believe my eyes. Did she just spend fifteen seconds before answering me? No one ever does that. Let's see how she handles the rough dark side of me.
"So do you live here alone?" She fretted with a controlled smile.
"What was your first clue?" I shot with an intimidating smirk.
"That method of smiling is actually not healthy for a human being. Getting used to it can cause problems especially if its repeatedly on a certain part of the lip," she blurted out.
Who are he heck is she to tell me what to do? I've spent nights with asses hotter than her so she can keep her ideas to herself. The heck!
"Keep your thoughts to yourself. They're yours anyway," I fired and she just gave a half shrug and crossed her legs, playing with the phone in her hand.
"So, why are you in Los Angeles?" I asked offhandedly, in a level tone, getting bored of the conversation as I toyed my keys with my index finger.
"I'm here because I need to be," she replied dryly as she kept fiddling with the charm bracelet that laid beautifully on her left wrist.
I looked up with a triumphant smile and spoke up again. "What do you mean, need to be here?"
"Ahem, ahem." Adrian coughed pretentiously as he watched us from upstairs and smiled, enthusiastic about how it'll all end.
"Go away!" I mouthed, conscious of if she's looking or not.
"No. I'm staying," he mouthed back and I face palmed.
She raised her chin and traveled her eyes to Adrian. "Gosh!" I muttered as he waved clumsily, exposing his piano white thirty two and smooth curved dimples that made him into one big cute gum ball I wished I could trash away.
She had a desperately confused look on her face and lingered her eyes back to me. With my legs crossed, I flung my face away and she freely gave a half shrug, returning to fondly touching her phone.
I rose my head and roughly threw a killer glance at Adrian. He winked twice and pouted his mouth in that annoying way of urging a kiss.
Shaking my head in grave disappointment, she turned her face to me. I could feel her silent eyes on my skin.
"So, what are we doing here?" She speculated and wrapped a nice curl around her little finger.
I couldn't help but notice everything she did, every single detail and just fall in love with her. Love at first sight perhaps?
"Excuse me?" I trailed off, pretending to not hear her statement.
"Never mind," she put her hands softly on the couch and rolled her eyes all over the place.
Suddenly, she rose from her seat and smoothed down her dress, taking short steps around as she stared at the paintings I personally had hung on the walls.
"They're really beautiful," she complimented and gave a half glance as she turned her head a little above her neck before returning the glance to the art work.
No one ever cared about those. She's the first one ever to compliment the paintings. Not even Adrian. The thousands of girls that had a foot stepped into this house didn't even care. All interest was in the bedroom and our bodies. She was different in an unexplainable kind of way.
"I had them hung myself." I started and she turned her body to me in interest.
"You painted them?" she queried as her eyes dug deep into mine.
"Yeah, I did. Actually -"
"Ahem, ahem. cough cough," Adrian interrupted with his normal fake cough.
We both looked up at him.
"As I was saying, I did paint them." I continued, hoping she wouldn't lose interest but then she turned away and continued looking.
I noticed every single detail. Her hair, soft curves and fascinating assets, flawless skin, gentle smile, beautiful finger nails, delicate eyes, demure smile, breathtaking lips and oh, she was the true definition of girl on fire.
"Caden! I've been yelling your name for quite some time now. You were totally spaced out," she volumed in a kind of whisper I always wanted to hear, a whisper so angelic it made my strong dark heart melt into a puddle of chocolate cream.
"Oh." I looked up at her.
"Can I use the restroom?" She asked demurely, her eyes waiting for my dumb lips to snap out and speak up.
"Upstairs to your right," I finally blurted.
"Thanks," she smiled naturally and started a long journey up the stairs with her stilettos making little noises as I watched her body move graciously, down to her waist.
"She's beautiful, ain't she?" Adrian giggled as he tapped me hard and rubbed his palms.
"I've seen better," I shrugged and adjusted my legs properly, lifting the left above my right lap and stroking my chin.
He nudged me hard on the shoulder. "You are way too proud to admit it. I don't know, but she seems really different from the others, Mackenzie and her bee hive of friends," he thought, scratching his head.
Adrian realized it too. She was such a dazzling mystery.
"I didn't even realize that. What are you even talking about?" I gave a half shrug, pretentiously hiding the truth.
"Yeah, right! I could see it," he further bugged.
"Okay. your choice," I turned my glance away and stared at her phone on the couch opposite mine.
"Her phone's here. Come on, let's check it out," Adrian shrieked happily. I shrugged in response of a big fat no.
"Please," he whined.
I glanced at it before standing up and headed to the couch. Adrian hopped in joy. I turned it on and we searched messages.
"Caden?"
I looked back. "Yeah?" Immediately, I passed the phone for Adrian to return which he did a horrible job by clumsily dropping it on the floor.
"My phone!" she cried out as she hurried to the floor, kneeling and picking up the wasted phone.
"I am so sorry," Adrian apologized and ran upstairs. Such a coward!
"I could get you another one," I offered in a habitual narcissistic tone which flung my riches in the air.
She just sighed and lowered her head, sitting up on the couch. Her nice hair strands covered a little part of her face as she stared at the broken phone.
"Ma'am, your parents are waiting for you. We have to go now," her driver said as he walked into the living room.
"Okay,"
She stood up and hurried off, not even looking back. It might be the last time I'd see her.
"You fucked up, Man!" Adrian barked as he pounced on the couch.
I gave him the finger and face palmed.
"You bastard! You are crazy," I sighed and stood up from the couch.
"You still have the meeting with the Belgravia's. They're really anxious to meet you,"
"Whatever," I murmured and headed up to my room.
Bella's POVI couldn't. I couldn't do it. My conscience was killing me already and it felt like I was carrying a burden in my chest.Whatever was in that envelope was Mercedes's business. Not mine. I had already caused enough trouble. At least that was what I thought.I quickly returned the envelope to the box and neatly put it back where it was with a loud sigh that perfectly highlighted my frustration.Plan B! Who was I kidding? I didn't have a plan B. I didn't even have a plan A in the first place. Things just happened in my life I had no control of.I mean, for instance, why in the world was I in Los Angeles pretending to be a famous star and married to a narcissistic arrogant billionaire dude? And why in the world had I not told them the whole truth? And how in the world could I still keep up with this ANNOYING MONSTER!
Bella's POV"Dar!" I yelled impatiently. She shivered and her voice was really weak, unusually. What was wrong?"Bella..." she whispered, her voice almost breaking down to silence and tears."Yeah?" I asked, really anxious to know what was happening."H...Henry is b..back!" she finally blurted out and sent a shiver down my spine, with my head in complete confusion. I froze!"No! It can't be," I tried to wipe out reality, hoping she'd laugh and say its all a joke. Like she always does..."He is. We are pretty sure the first person he'll get is ma, then he'll come after you for jailing him," she said in a tensed voice and I could tell how worried she was from her tone."I need to be there," I insisted, trying as much as possible to calm myself down and prevent those stinging drops of tears.
Bella's POV"What are you doing? Perv!" I glowered angrily and drifted from him, cleaning my mouth and curling my lips at him. "How dare you?" I raged. He smirked and shook his head, staring out the window."Why'd you kiss me?" I accused and moved to the other seat in anger."I? kissed YOU?" he sighed, not looking at me."Yes, in fact, you did. And you can't deny it!" I fired at him."You kissed ME! You should apologize, and never wash your mouth so my lip stain never gets off," he hissed.Be proud like his lips were a billion dollar or something. Or made of gold, perhaps. He is so full of himself."You are s
Bella's POVSwept by the breeze,my hair stood in the air and my face dampened from the tears. My body was freezing cold and my brain still in total shock. Like I just ran into a trap i can never get away from no matter how much I tried or wanted. It was depressing. I stared at the whole neighborhood. It was quite peaceful, and really nice. It was like a sensation. Beautiful, quiet and tranquil. The moonlight shone beautifully in the dark and the stars were dazzlingly amazing.Dogs from the neighbours barked angrily with sirens and horns from cars in the neighbourhood and a noise loud enough to jerk me from my sleep and suddenly, everywhere went quiet again.I folded my arms with my hair still blown by the wind, closed my eyes, and felt the breeze, the wind and everything that surrounded.Overwhelmed by the peace, it felt magical and smelt glorious, probably the strawberries that w
Caden's POVI knew I didn't mean any of the things I said to Mercedes back there. She was so different and it was driving me over the bend. The girls loved me. Everyone wanted me. Why was she fucking different? It was annoying. My phone rang and I picked it up hastily, placing it on my left ear and turning on the TV.It was Adrian."Hey, bro!" he yelled enthusiastically with booming music from wherever he was."What?" I asked in a stressed tone, not caring about what he had to say because I was pretty sure it was gonna be stupid. Like it always is..."Now before you think that what i'm about to say is stupid, let me just tell you that its not," he hollered in a silly giggle.Typical Adrian....."Spill it. I don't want you wasting my time any further." I scoffed with a pessimistically gloomy sigh.
Bella's POV"Hey, Dar?" I bawled as the phone danced in my anxious hands, sweating profusely like it ran a marathon."Hey, Bella. What's up! How'd the lunch go?" she popped, sounding nervous for me. I don't blame her though. I was really nervous for myself. Really, really nervous."It was okay. But I have a bigger problem," I blurted dramatically. But I guess things can't get any more dramatic in this situation."What now?" she sighed, probably rolling her denim blue crystal lit eyes."There's a press con tomorrow, and I am going to be on TV. And guess what?" I cringed."What?" I could tell she rolled her eyes again as her heart thumped faster.I swallowed down a lump in my throat and breathed in and out twice before breaking the terrible horrible no good very bad news to her."I am kinda married?" I blur
