He's a real jerk bah?" Nailah asked and Josh laughed. "See who's talking. Who constantly bugged me to make up with my friends?" Ashton asked and Josh laughed again as Nailah shrugged. "It took you so long to listen to me" Nailah said as she shrugged and Ashton rolled his eyes. "You are impossible Nailah" Ashton said and Nailah chuckled. "And you are crazy" Nailah said as she laughed.
Ashton and Nailah decided to visit Laurel before school and they stopped at a flower shop and got some flowers. Ashton's car came to a stop near the cemetery and they both got down. Nailah followed Ashton through the rows of cemented stones until they arrived at Laurel's stone. Ashton dropped his flowers and smiled "Hello Laurel. I came by today again and I brought a friend. I'm sure you must have wanted to meet her when you were alive but didn't get the chance" Ashton said slowly as Nailah bent and dropped her flowers. "Hello Laurel. It’s nice to meet you. It’s sad I met you too late but I'm sure we would have been good friends if we had met before. Rest in Peace" Nailah said as she put her hands in Ashton's and he held hers tightly.
Ashton wrapped his hands around Nailah as they stood at the corner of the room staring outside. It was late but Ashton had no intention of letting Nailah go and Nailah as well made no move to go home. "I love you" Ashton whispered into her eyes. "I love you too" Nailah said as she turned towards him and kissed him before letting him hold her again. They both stared at the evening sun that had already gone down slightly. They were quiet and understanding flowed between them. Ashton looked at the evening halo the setting sun created and thinned his eyes. He was debating whether to tell Nailah the truth or not. He was scared she might leave him and Ashton suddenly remembered the words he had said before. No matter what happened, he certainly was
Ashton opened his eyes and saw Nailah crying as she buried her head in his chest. He looked around and found himself still in the disarranged club. "Nailah, I'm fine" Ashton said as he comforted Nailah who continued sobbing quietly. "Don't ever scare me like that again" Nailah said and Ashton nodded. "I won't" Ashton said as he pulled her into a hug. Nailah stopped crying after a while and she touched Ashton's face slowly. "Are you okay?" She asked and Ashton smiled and nodded. "Don't worry about me. I'm fine" Ashton replied and he slowly led her to the car. "I need to show you something" Ashton said with a smile and Nailah turned to him.
