8. The Proper Date

I finally got off the chair and locked my door. I was smiling so wide, I was wet and sticky and was so fucking happy.

The day went by so easily. I reached the book store half an hour before the store was open. Archie greeted me with his smile, he was giving me instruction for my work. It was easy, and quite simple making me sighed in relief.

"Oh, and I don't know if you like to read. But seeing that you brought your kindle I'm assuming that to do. You can help yourself to all the used books." He was pouring me a cup of tea, it seemed that this is how he likes to start his mornings. I was taking a mental note in my mind that I should prepare his tea tomorrow.

"Yes. I love to, that's why I have my Kindle actually. I read too many romance novels, people might think that I'm a book hoarder. With this, I'm saving on book space and money obviously. Though I missed flipping them and smelling the book pages." I grinned at him.

I've met few locals today, Archie introduced me to them as they were browsing through his shop. I was at the back when I heard someone was coming into the store. Archie had gone home and would come back later to close the shop.

"Hello, good afternoon. I'm Marissa, how can I help you?" I asked the boy who seems to look around for Archie. He looked familiar.

"Ehm...yeah, sorry I was looking for Archie. I was waiting for a book that I ordered earlier. Archie said that he would have it for me by today?" He looked nervously at me.

"And you are?" I smiled at him.

"Eh...right. Matt...Mathew Barnaby."

"Oh yeah, Archie got your book right here. He said to give it to you when you came, and that you already paid for it. Wait, let me get it for you. Why don't you sit down?"

He sat on one of the chairs and started fiddling with his phone. I went behind the counter and got his book. I wrapped it, and give it to him.

"Hey, you're the girl that rents out dad's cottage with the deadly bargaining power." He started to laugh.

"Sorry, dad was talking about you last night all through dinner. He was truly impressed by you." He smiled at me then he started to get nervous again. I imagine he was one of those guys that didn't hang with his friends.

I started laughing with him, trying to make him feel comfortable with himself. We were talking when Nate arrived. He was looking at us, arching his eyebrow at me.

"Hey Nate, this is Mathew Barnaby. His dad owned the cottage that I'm renting...." I was still talking when he reached me and kiss my cheek. I was blushing, I've never been kissed in public or in front of another boy.

He smiled at Matt, then whispered in my ear. "Are you ready to go?"

Matt was noticing the vibe, so he quickly excused himself and leave the store. "Baby, I don't like you talking and laughing with that boy." He was licking my ear and squeezing my ass. I let out a small whimper, I was liking that he was jealous of Matt.

"Babe where's Archie?" He asked me as he trailed his hand to my neck then gave me a deep kiss, I was definitely too busy with his lips to answer his question.

"Marissa? I'm asking you a question."

"Right...kissing...too hot...can't think." He chuckled hearing my answer, then he let me go, and sit down casually on the window seat.

Damn! How can he do

"He's going to be here any minute for closing time." I finally composed my sentence.

Minutes later Archie arrived as I was tidying up the counter, while Nate waited for me sitting on the window seat.

We said our goodbyes to Archie, he looked a bit surprised seeing Nate with me but he didn't say anything.

"So, where are you taking me?" He was guiding me to his car. A manly SUV car, I honestly didn't know what kind it is, but it looked expensive.

"How about a movie first then dinner?" He asked as he put his hand on my thigh casually, while his other hand was on the steering wheel. He glanced at me giving me his crooked smile, making my insides do somersaults. I was giddy and excited about this date.

We finally reached the cinema on the other side of the town, he got us some tickets for some horror with half-naked babes on the poster. I was rolling my eyes at him, but he just laughed at me.

"Hey...I'm paying for these tickets. It's either this or some sappy drama love stories, and I don't want to make you experience any more drama. And baby, you can always snuggle with horror movies." He winked at me as we were getting our popcorn and cola.

He was right, I did snuggle closer to his chest as the scene got a bit scary in the middle. He rests his arm around my shoulder and pulled me closer to him and kissed my temple.

But then the steamy scene appeared. The couple was kissing and moving to the bedroom for some sexy time, it lasted less than a couple of minutes but he was whispering his dirty words in my ear as the scene took place. My breath hitched as he licked my ear as kiss my neck. Then casually continue on watching the movie while eating his popcorn.

I was pouting from the loss of his kisses, making him chuckled and offered me more popcorn.

Aarrgghhhh!

As if he could read my mind, he laughed making some heads turn to us.

Dinner was great. I had never gone on a date before, so I didn't have anything to compare it to. But all through dinner he was giving me small gentle touches making me tingles. Then he kissed me in his car, saying that he just couldn't resist me. I was smiling all the way back to my place.

"So, you want to come inside for coffee?" I was getting braver in making my advances towards him. Thinking now I definitely know that he wanted me. I was pulling him inside, as he let me took his hands to my waist.

"You are one naughty little girl, inviting a man to your place at this time of night. But you already know that didn't you?" He smiled wickedly at me, as he backed away from me, then took my keys, and locked the door behind him.
