CHAPTER 2

After accepting all the facts. In the end everything went as you wanted but not everything.

"Your Majesty, thank you for coming all the way here."

"Of course, Empress Cornelia."

Now I'm drinking tea with my mom and Heolstor. Unexpectedly, my mother who died before my eyes was still alive. Though, her last words were still on my mind.

"Ehem, why did you invite His Majesty Heolstor here?."

"Aren't we going to talk about your marriage?."

The basis for the side effect of the contract is useless. Why is it like this? I still don't accept this situation.

"Princess Cecilia, you look pale."

"Nothing, Your Majesty."

Cecilia continued drinking her tea.

"Well, what if your wedding is held in a month?."

Cecilia choked on tea.

"Cough, Cough. Why did you decide everything? Instead of having to ask my father's permission first?."

"Father has allowed it, take it easy Cecilia."

Cornelia took a paper and opened it.

I feel bound by black magic. Why is my life like this?. I want to return to my usual life. All of this is too difficult for me.

"Your Majesty, why are you here? Is drinking tea with my mother finished?."

Heolstor with a warm smile.

"Yes, Empress Cornelia and I have talked about our marriage. We'll get married in a week."

Cecilia looked at Heolstor.

Cecilia's room.

"Princess Cecilia, what are you doing?."

I leaned back on the sofa and wore only one pajama.

"Why?."

"Princess."

Geez, I don't care if it's a contract or not. Men are annoying. Demon men are useless. I should just kill him.

Cecilia suddenly threw the items around her onto the floor.

"Princess, please stop."

"Princess, your hand."

I looked at my injured hand. it hurts and I thought.

"Is this all useful to me?."

The preparations for my marriage with Heolstor have started. Early in the morning everyone was busy discussing bridal clothing, decorations, invitations, and other preparations.

"Princess, how about this dress?."

"I don't care. Choose the dress you want."

"But, princess."

"You denied me?."

"Yes, princess."

I'm not excited about this preparation.

Knock Knock Knock

"Come ini."

Heolstor entered the room.

"How are you, Princess Cecilia?."

Cecilia was silent.

"You are mad?."

Heolstor smiled and told the servants to leave the room. Heolstor saw Cecilia and knelt down.

"Cecilia, I'm only saying this once. I'm sorry about the incident last time."

Cecilia just looked away and didn't reply to Heolstor's words.

"Cecilia, look at my face."

Cecilia remained silent and said nothing. The heolstor who had given up finally sat down on the sofa and turned Cecilia's face to him.

"Finally I can see your face."

I saw Heolstor's face. Why is his face so handsome?. I can't stop seeing it. This demon can captivate all women.

The real reason Cecilia didn't look at Heolstor's face was his good looks.

"I'm still wondering. Why does Your Majesty prefer to make a contract with me over the others? The pool does not have any strange conditions, so His Majesty can make contracts with other people."

"I just wanted to make a contract with you, Cecilia."

Heolstor's voice and words made me feel strange things. Is he really the demon lord that people say. The people I saw looked like ordinary men.

After speaking with Cecilia. Heolstor walked the palace hallway and kept thinking about Cecilia's question.

Cecilia asked me why I made a contract with her. Like she said, I can make it with other people. But for no other reason, I prefer it over others. Why do I feel that way?

Heolstor stopped and looked at the window leading to Cecilia's room.

"Cecilia, why did I choose you?"

Preparations are ongoing. All went well. The two kingdoms will join in this marriage. I am the only heir to the throne in this kingdom. This marriage will bring good to the kingdom. Those are all dreams that I've always been looking forward to and now the problem is.

"Dad, what do you mean I can't stay here later?."

"What do you mean? Dad should have asked. You are going to marry Emperor Heolstor. Of course you will come with him, there is no way you will continue to live here and father will forbid you to come back here without Emperor Heolstor's permission."

"Why did you say that? Father forbade me to come back here. Why? Who said that I was not allowed to go home?."

Cecilia headed to Heolstor's room and broke down the door.

"What does all this mean?."

Heolstor didn't hear.

"Don't pretend you didn't hear."

Heolstor sighed.

"What is the problem?."

Cecilia approached Heolstor.

"I've heard everything from my father. What does all this mean?, Dad said this is your order."

"Princess, we are getting married. It's not strange to live in the same roof with a partner, right?"

"what I mean is, why did you forbid me to return home?."

Cecilia stared at Heolstor constantly.

"You didn't forget about the contract we made? We shouldn't be apart for too long. If you live here, then I have to come with you. Therefore, I forbid you to come back here without my knowledge."

"What do you mean not too long apart?."

Does that mean I won't see mom and dad again? Even though I was happy to meet them.

Heolstor hugged her to calm herself and whispered in Cecilia's ear.

"It's okay, we'll visit them often."

Cecilia's room.

"Cecilia, can mother come in?."

"Of course mother."

Cornelia entered the room and sat next to Cecilia.

"I never thought, this day will come. In fact, like just yesterday you were born."

"Why did you allow me to marry him?."

Cornelia looked at Cecilia and took her hand.

"Because I want you to be happy. I believe in Emperor Heolstor. Therefore, like your name Cecilia, be a light for everyone and live without regrets."

Mother just smiled warmly at me. The exact same words as the last words before she died. Sometimes I think I'm grateful dan bound by this eternal contract. Even so, I want to see their happy smiles. I can definitely get through all of this, we still have a long way to go. Just like mother said, I will be a light to everyone.
