The biggest mistake in Melsa's life was when she accepted Alex's invitation to date. In the past, the man was so kind and caring to Melsa, who was living alone and without the attention of her parents, fell flattering with Alex's love. Increasingly, the man showed his true attitude.

Melsa is not permitted to be seen alone with other men even though it is only to discuss important matters such as college assignments. Alex must participate in Melsa's every business.

Many people envy her because she able to get love from Alex. Everyone adores Alex because they only know his fake attitude which makes Melsa deceived and trapped.

Melsa had asked to break up with him because she was unable to possess his possessive behavior, but he admitted that he have a recording video when they had sex and threatened to post it if she dared to leave him. Halfheartedly Melsa stayed by his side and had to sacrifice her teenage life with her friends.

Like today, she should have come to her friend's bridal shower which will be held at 4 pm but Alex insisted on picking her up from the apartment.

The phone is ringing, Melsa glanced at the screen of her cellphone. Actually, without her even seeing Melsa know who contacted her. Unconsciously she exhaled slowly before turn on the call.

"Yes, Lex?"

"I'm already downstairs."

"Okay, just a moment."

Melsa turned off the call and put her belongings in one black sling bag. Checking her appearance once again in front of a long mirror beside her room door.

Turtleneck clothes may be a little outdated if worn today, but this helps disguise the kiss marks that Alex’s made on around her neck, which until today has not disappeared. White jeans seems like a good mix with her maroon turtleneck. she tied half her hair then sprayed her favorite dior perfume around her body.

Melsa could already see Alex's car parked in front of her apartment building, the metallic black sports car that did attract attention even though the color was dark. Melsa could see that Alex was having a small conversation with the parking attendant there, they looks closer because he so often visited her apartment.

"Your girl has arrived, bro." The parking attendant pointed her chin to Melsa, lately she knows his named Omar.

Alex turned and said goodbye to the parking lot while slipping a dime in his hand.

Melsa nodded and smiled at Omar, she was not too close to the parking attendant because she did not have a car to park so it was rare to interact with him. Unlike Alex, who drove her almost every day or sometimes visited her on holidays.

Shortly after Melsa got into the car, Alex had kissed her cheek while his hand pulled Melsa's seat belt and put the belt on her.

See? Alex can be nice if he want to. But Melsa was not as blushed as before, because she knew that was only part of Alex's miraculous attitude.

"Have eaten?" Asked the man while driving out of her apartment building.

Melsa nodded without saying a word.

Alex then silenced and concentrated on the road in front of him.

It was halfway through that Melsa realized that he had taken her to his house.

"You brought me home, huh?" Melsa asked to the man beside her.

Now it was Alex's turn to not answer Melsa's question.

Lazy arguing with him made Melsa decide to remain silent until they arrived at Alex's house.

Alex waited for Melsa to get out of his car and put his arm around him.

"Lex, you said you want to ask me to accompany you to some where, how come it's your house?"

Alex, who was removing the contents of his trousers on to the table, replied, "You already eat, why would I go to a restaurant if you already eat?"

"So when you ask me to join you to some places is accompany you to eat, to the restaurant?" Asked Melsa. Without waiting for Alex's answer she has continued her words. "I chose to didn't come to my friend's bridal shower event, just to accompany you!"

"Yes, what's the difference between you accompanying me to go some where and accompanying me at home, it is the same, right?"

Melsa shook her head because of the man in front of her.

Melsa looked at her watch, it was almost 6 o'clock and her friend's event must have been almost over before she arrived at the location. It was already impossible if she was determined to come there and attend the event.

Alex casually sat on the sofa and played on his cellphone.

Melsa noticed that the man was busy playing games, then she sat down next to the man and opened the Instagram application to see what excitement moment she was missing.

she saw all the story posts from her friends who were present at the event. Nina, her friend who was getting married looked happy and smiled freely. Melsa was jealous and joined in the joy of her friends who could be happy like that.

Without her knowing it, she had already spent all of her friends' posts. Then switch to the explore page and find lots of foreign posts suggested for her account.

Includes a photograph of a very beautiful painting. A painting of a woman who caught her attention. Not without reason she was interested in the painting, but she saw something that looked familiar in the picture on her cellphone screen.

Without thinking twice she opened the post and saw who posted the painting.

Raihanadhyasta is the name of the account that owned the painting.

A name that made Melsa cringe instantly, her heart pounding. Is this just a coincidence or does what is on her mind really happen?

With courage Melsa further researched the caption written in the post.

Melsa's eyes rounded perfectly seeing that.

That's the initial name, Melsa Ayu Fitrianda. And that was Melsa's date with her ex-boyfriend in high school.

"What are you doing?" Alex asked, suddenly surprising Melsa. She nervously tried to get the application off but accidentally pressed the like button on the post before finally closing the application.

"Nothing, I'm looking at my friend's post, who was at the bridal shower." Melsa answered trying to calm down.

Her mind was mixed. She just found out if his ex-boyfriend painted her face.

Wasn't the guy who said he wanted to end the relationship with her, but why does he still keep the painting and post it on his personal account?

A thousand questions suddenly entered Melsa's head which was realized by Alex.

"What's the matter?" Asked the man, taking Melsa's cellphone from her hand. The man tried to find out why Melsa looked panicked and nervous.

"What are you doing Lex? Obviously, nothing. " Melsa answered insisted. She tried to retake her cellphone. "Give it to me."

But Alex did not heed Melsa's request and he raised his hand to avoid Melsa's reach. "If there's nothing, you won't panic."

"So what, I am just looking at the instagram stories." Melsa urged the man.

Luckily Melsa had left the explore page as if she was looking at the timeline from friends' posts.

Alex found nothing suspicious on Instagram or Whatsapp and Line chat rooms so he gave up and trusted her. But Melsa was still trying to reach her cellphone by getting closer to Alex and climbed his lap so that her hands were closer to her cellphone that Alex was deliberately raising.

"Okay, okay, I'll give it back." Said the man, chuckling, aware of Melsa's current position.

Instead of returning the cellphone to the owner, Alex throws the cellphone on the sofa next to him. Melsa who was annoyed at the man immediately moved and took the cellphone back. But before she could to move from there, Alex quickly held her waist to remain seated in his lap.

He slipped his hand into Melsa's shirt. Feeling his hands touch directly with her smooth skin.

Melsa shuddered at Alex's treatment then tried to pull Alex's hand out of her shirt.

Alex did follow Melsa's will to stop touching her under the woman's clothes, but Alex continued his action to take her clothes off.

"Lex is not midnight yet." Melsa protest.

"What difference does it make if it's afternoon or midnight?"

Melsa could not answer. It doesn't make any difference, but don't people usually make love at midnight?
