Mag-log in“Desdemona…”
Aiyana heard his voice clear as day calling her. That same deep voice she heard every morning calling her Ms. Grey. Always Ms. Grey, never Aiyana. But, today his voice sounded urgent. She looked around, gathering in her surroundings to find out that she was in the woods wearing a Grecian toga.
The wind blew at her hair like a caress carrying with it his voice.
“Come to me Desdemona, before all is lost...”
And suddenly the trees cleared a path. And there he stood at the end of it. His eyes held despair of a man that had been defeated and yet they held hope. Hope that she would not betray him. That she would stay and save him.
He held out his hand that was laced with black tendrils, as was his whole body. As if darkness had begun to encompass him and eat his soul. Holding him captive. His greys met Aiyana’s as he called again, “Desdemona… my Desdemona…”
Aiyana woke up to a knock on the door. Her father stood in the middle of the room, looking awkward as he looked at everything but her.
“Princess…it was a mistake. I… I didn’t mean to. And well your mom and I talked about reconciling and well… we might get back together. So…please?”
Aiyana knew what her father did was wrong but she was never going to her mother anyways and listening to him being truly apologetic made her want to forgive him. It was a onetime thing after all and they were finally trying to work their way back to each other. There was no way Aiyana was going to ruin that.
Aiyana sighed and said, “Alright but this better be a onetime thing Dad.”
He nodded.
“Also, I have something for you.”
Gregory Grey walked out of the room and returned after a few minutes with a box in his hands, handing it over to her. It was a box from Tiffany’s.
Aiyana opened the box to reveal the most beautiful necklace she had ever seen. It was silver, the chain was thin and at the end of it was an interlacing pattern with a blue sapphire inside the tear drop lace pattern. It was definitely expensive. Aiyana also knew it was guilt that made him buy the present. But, she kept quiet. This was not the time.
So, she looked up and simply said it was beautiful.
Her father left her as Aiyana went to get ready. It was trek day after all and this year, Chris was joining them. Aiyana realized it had been only one day since she knew him but when; they were talking last night he asked if he could see her today to which she said only if he was willing to walk for it. It was supposed to be a joke but he agreed to.
On checking with Scarlett, she was more than happy to allow him to join.
Aiyana heard the door of her room open while she was having a bath followed by Scarlett’s voice, “So what happened last night that despite coming back home you still are taking Chris to our trek?”
Aiyana stepped out of her en suite bathroom in her towel as she talked about her date to her, blushing as she recounted all her date to Scarlett.
“Interesting” Scarlett remarked.
“Yeah it was like being a moth to a blazing fire. Must be how Beth felt with Dominic.”
“So Dominic has you all hot and bothered but doesn’t take you home.”
“Yes he was a perfect gentleman. Almost”
Aiyana bites his lower lip. Seductively.
“Oh my god! Aiyana don’t throw me that look. It’s reserved for Dominic after he is the one you want to fuck. Not me.” Scarlett laughed shaking her head. Eying the necklace I put on. The one her father just gave her.
“That’s pretty”
“Daddy dearest bought it for me yesterday. I guess I should prepare myself for some huge favor”
Aiyana joked, but Scarlett could see it in her eyes that there was a story behind the recently acquired gift. A story that Aiyana was not ready to share yet.
Aiyana put on a pair of hot shorts that showed off her ass with a low neck tee back. Tying her hair up in a ponytail, they heard Dominic’s car honk as he stood proudly in the driveway.
He was driving a range rover today with Liam, Sky and Sierra. When they neared the car they saw them.
Scarlett held her elbow and quickly, “Why did he bring Mr. Arizona with us?”
“I don’t know. Lord I wanted a Sunday away from college. And I definitely did not want to spend it with him!”
Scarlett giggled in acknowledgment as they were greeted by the two men.
Chris leaned in, taking her in a hug, before his face dipped his lips brushing over Aiyana’s. It was a chaste kiss but the closeness and the feeling between her thighs told he wanted it to be anything but chaste. He might be holding back considering we had company. But, it was there the hot blazing fire between them.
“Boy is it hot in here or is it just the two of you wanting to jump each other?” Scarlett teased.
Chris chuckled, his forehead still resting on Aiyana’s, before turning to face Scarlett.
“Scarlett I presume. I did see you bulldozing my precious lady yesterday.” Chris winked.
“And I did see you take her away.” Scarlett retorted.
“And I hope to take her away from you again.”
Scarlett smiled that Chris’ cheekiness, clearing she liked him.
“What makes you think I want that mister? Overconfidence will get you nowhere Mr. Howard” I said flirtatiously
“If all of you are done fucking each other can we move along?” Mr. Arizona called out from inside in his telltale annoyed pattern.
“Yes, grumpy. Let’s go.” Chris replied. He earned a smile from Mr. Arizona.
Something Aiyana had never seen.
Sky woke up early that morning, right when the first rays of the sun were about to hit the earth. He stepped out of the tent leaving Sierra still asleep when he heard a song being played. “Oh… my love… my darling. I’ve hungered for your touch…” It was coupled with a soft sob.Walking to the sound of the source he found Aiyana, listening to the song. Her face was bent down, her red hair covering her face as her fingers clasped onto the necklace around her neck. Her fingers had gone white with the tight hold she had on the necklace and when she looked up, it almost broke his heart. Her eyes were red and brimming with tears. Her c
Sky stiffened the moment skinny dipping were uttered from Scarlett’s mouth. He knew he could not watch her but what he did not like was that Chris was watching her. That another pair of eyes was looking at the magnificent woman that Sky yearned for. But, he knew this would eventually happen the minute she went on a date with him. They were still not in a relationship and yet, they behaved like it. Scarlett’s eyes danced in amusement as Chris looked up in shock, his eyes instantly angry. He did not like the idea of this dare any more than Sky did.
After three rounds the bottle finally landed on Aiyana. It was her turn to play.“Truth or Dare?”“Dare” Aiyana announced. Scarlett smiled and said, “Well, skinny dipping right now. Chris’ participation with you is optional but all of us girls and Chris will definitely watch.”
Night had fallen as they completed their work of raising a bonfire and tents. Sitting in front of it Aiyana seemed content over making smores while beer and vodka started being passed around. A childishness masking her face as she laughed at all the stories being passed around.“Let’s play never have I ever?” Scarlett chirped.Liam bent to face the Scarlett seated between his legs before saying, “No, that’s not a fair game you girls always target me and get me drunk”
Chris was struggling against Aiyana’s grip as she tried to curl her hands around his legs and waist in an attempt to carry him. He clearly wasn’t using all his force, or else Aiyana did not stand a chance.“Aiyana no... I am not going to let you carry me bridal style the last few meters to the lake just so you can make me your damsel in distress…”Chris said as he laughed through Aiyana’s silliness.“But, Liam gets to do that. I watch them every year do that. I also wanna!” She retorted like a little child.“Then I can carry you&r
Sierra had soon taken her place in Mr. Arizona’s lap and kept playing with his hair. Sky on the other hand was distracted. His lips pursed together in his usual irritation. He was awfully quite amongst the beats of the music and the talkative company he was with. Sierra would whisper things in Sky’s ear to try and make a conversation with him but sky would brush it off. Although, he did not stop Sierra from playing with his hair every once in a while, mostly because he was busy staring at Chris’s hand constantly holding onto Aiyana’s thigh. Anger boiled inside his very soul as he watched the two of them flirt with each other. He despised how he saw Aiyana look at Chris with awe as if she could not believe Chris was real, how she laughed at all the silly things Chris said. Neither did he like Aiyana’s own fingers laced in the hand Chris had laid on her thigh nor occasionally riding it
