He Is The One For Me

As always, it was loud in class. The teacher had disappeared into the staff room for 10 minutes to copy things. He'd given us tasks to work on, but I was the only one working on it. The others were busy chatting about the last party or discussing football. I'm Lina, 17 years old and go to a high school in Hamburg. Yeah and sometimes I hated my life.

I just kept working and ignoring the others. My thoughts slowly wandered. To him. Paul. Paul had been at our school two years ago before he moved to Berlin with his family. I actually got on really well with him. He had protected me when the others came to finish me off. I thought nothing of it because he was nice to everyone and helped everyone. Well When he was in a good mood and not an asshole. Though I never really got to know his asshole side. Apart from a few insults, nothing bad had come of it. I had no hope that he was in love with me because he had a girlfriend.

I returned to my duties. But I was interrupted when Simon came.

“Lina our nerdy child! Are you working nicely on the tasks again to impress Ms. Müller? ”He shouted.

“No, Simon. I study because I want to graduate and I have to study. You should try it too. Then you'll write better grades, too! "I replied. I knew it wasn't a good idea, but it just had to be out. I looked at Simon. This had stood threateningly in front of me. I ducked my head when I heard him say, "

If I were you, I would be careful what you say." Yes, I knew it wasn't exactly advisable to mess with him, but I couldn't shut my mouth again.

"You better take care. Not that you still have to go to the principal because you hit a girl. ”Simon raised his hand to clap me, but at that moment our teacher came into the class.

“Get back to your seat immediately! I have a surprise for you guys! ”She shouted. The class slowly returned to their seats. I straightened up and looked at Simon. He still looked at me angrily, but he wouldn't dare spank me. I knew that. Our teacher waited until all the students were seated and listening to her, then she said: “You all probably still know Paul, who moved to Berlin two years ago. Right? ”We nodded. Everyone had liked Paul and many had been very good friends with him.

"Don't say that Paul is coming back to Hamburg!" Exclaimed Emma, a blonde who had been with Paul before he moved to Berlin, excited.

“No, Emma. But Paul comes to visit us for a week. He's free and wants to see you again, ”said Ms. Müller. I was happy. Sure, Paul and I weren't friends, but I got on well with him and we worked together a lot.

I looked around. On the faces of my classmates I saw how happy they were that Paul came to visit us. Emma especially beamed. I knew she was hoping to get back together with Paul.

Oh man, I couldn't stand this girl. She kept throwing herself at the boys. I just find it embarrassing. She imagined she could have anyone.

But I hope the boys don't always fall in love with their characters.

That's how it is. As soon as you see a pretty girl, which has a neckline down to her stomach, you leave the girl you love lying on the left and ignore her. But it was clear. Boys couldn't help it.

I focused back on the tasks. But before I did that, I checked my watch. 1:09 pm. So, just a minute before school ends. Luckily. I was happy when it finally rang. I slowly packed my things while the others stormed outside. Why were the others always in such a hurry? Anyway, I walked slowly to my bike, locked it, got on, and rode home.
