Chapter 36 Disgusting

Author: A Sleeve Full Of Cloud
Sarah had already put on her boots and opened the door.

Aunt Wren ran after her. “But Miss Grove, Second Young Master doesn’t allow you to eat out. Are you sure about this?”

Sarah slammed the door shut, ignoring the other person’s consideration.

————

The sun was beginning to set. Sarah, who was standing alone in the cold winter, could not resist a shudder.

Suddenly, the cell phone in her purse vibrated. She extended her hand to hail a taxi while answering the call simultaneously.

It was Whitney who called. “Sarah, guess where am I?” she asked mysteriously.

……

Whitney was already waiting for her in a massive private room by the time Sarah arrived at Mingdu International Clubhouse.

The former was surrounded by several “Young Masters” who looked visibly youthful. The men were performing tricks to make her laugh.

Anyone familiar with Whitney Tate knew she was willing to spend lavishly without thinking twice.

Whitney leaped from the couch at Sarah’s presence and ran forward exaggeratedly to embrace the girl, not forgetting to crane her neck to look behind the newcomer. “Why are you alone? Where’s Henry? Why is he not here?”

Sarah threw her purse onto the couch and frowned immediately when she discovered those strange-looking “Young Masters” in the room.

Whitney seemed astonished. “Why are you looking at them like that?”

Sarah dismissed those “Young Masters” surrounding her. “Disgusting. They haven’t even got a mustache yet,” she said casually.

Whitney draped an arm around Sarah’s shoulder and dragged her down onto the couch. “What’s wrong? How has your taste changed in just a few days? Didn’t you used to like these types of guys?”

“Did I?” Sarah turned to her friend.

The latter shrugged nonchalantly, declining to reply.

……

Sarah explained her current situation with Henry to Whitney from the top. Being in a bad mood, she could not resist when the latter urged her to drink, completely forgetting about her current health condition.

Soon, both her cheeks were flushed red with heat. The atmosphere in the private room was rather high thus she became excited too.

She was already getting a little bit tipsy. A great wave of sadness washed over her as she thought about her history with Henry. The emotional girl began crying and laughing uncontrollably at the same time.

Whitney was still considered sober. She came up with a terrible idea to comfort Sarah from the heartbreak.

She suggested with a solemn expression, “The quickest way to forget about an ex is to leap into another relationship. This is the time-tested method.”

Sarah lifted her head, her eyes appeared a little dazed. “Who can I turn to?”

Almost immediately, Whitney grabbed Sarah’s cell phone that was positioned on the coffee table, connected it to the WiFi, and downloaded numerous dating applications. She created an account for each of those applications in a matter of minutes, not forgetting to update the profile photo to Sarah’s selfies.

The latter regarded her impulsive friend blankly. “What are you doing?”

“I’m trying to get you laid. You should experiment with going on one-night stands with some good-looking guys, perhaps keep them around for a bit if they're great in bed. We’re not some innocent little girls anymore so this straightforward method is the most efficient. You can try it for yourself if you don’t believe me.”

Before waiting for the slow-witted Sarah to respond, Whitney had already ticked the box of consent and started swiping away.

……

Morgan, Zayn, Jacob, and Jon were gathered in the VIP room.

Jacob Woods was the oldest among them all. He was also the only one who was already married with two children.

Jon naturally had a cold personality and Zayn Will was also a man of few words. On the other hand, Morgan seemed to be able to never stop talking.

The latter came from a family of doctors. His father was currently the president of the military hospital.

Morgan raised his glass to clink with Jon’s and Jacob’s. “You haven’t felt like yourself lately, Jon.”

“How so?” Jon lifted his head.

A peculiar smile flashed across Morgan’s face and he raised his eyebrows at Jacob. “You must’ve overworked your kidney, huh?”

Jacob laughed upon hearing the exchange. He stole a glance at Jon out of the corners of his eyes and joined in the tease. “You’re getting married soon and there’ll be lots of chances for that in the future. You don’t have to get too impatient.”

Laughter filled the room. Only Jon’s face was as still as water. “I’m not,” he replied flatly.

Morgan turned around to sit on the coffee table as he informed Jacob, “Jac, you know, Jon’s been keeping a mistress lately. Not only does she have a pretty face but her body figure is also impeccable. She’s as seductive as a little vixen…”

A solemn expression washed over Jon’s face as he fixed his eyes on Morgan. “Stop talking nonsense, we’re not in that sort of relationship.”

“Which sort of relationship then?” Morgan ridiculed.

Jon could not be bothered to waste his time on the man. He reached out for the cigarette box. “I need some fresh air.”

He stepped out of the private room as Morgan’s mischievous laughter filled the air. The thick door obstructed Jon from the other men’s view.

Zayn, who had remained silent for a long while, finally said something, “It’s true that Jon’s not been acting like himself lately. What’s up with him?”

Bored, Morgan filled his glass and raised it to swirl the wine at his eye-level. “I reckon he must’ve really liked that young girl named Grove, but his family is urging him to get married in the meantime. How could he not be frustrated?”

Zayn turned to look at the door. “Really?” He remained skeptical.

His dubious attitude annoyed Morgan. “What do you mean, Zayn? When have I ever badmouthed Second Elder Brother? He’s been keeping that little girl in his Xijing Villa for at least half a month. I’ve been there twice myself. Do you still think that I’m making this up?”

“…”

Zayn did not know what else to say.

Morgan emptied the glass down his throat and pouted. “But that little girl is perfect indeed. She has large breasts and amazing long legs, even her face is extremely tempting. Naturally, Jon couldn’t control himself…”

He began laughing wickedly again. “Should I try my luck with her after Jon is done?”

Jacob threw the beads he was holding in hand at the man’s direction. “Aren’t you disgusting?”

The entire private room is filled with Morgan’s malicious laughter.

……

Jon headed back to the room after refreshing himself with a cigarette.

The door to the first private room on the third floor was pulled open from the inside. A fashionable, short-haired lady stepped out of it and walked past him.

The girl was reeking of smoke and alcohol. Jon could not help but turned to steal a glance at her instinctively. A familiar silhouette flashed across his eyes when he swept his gaze past the interior of the room before the door closed…

Several young ladies dressed in revealing clothes were surrounding Morgan and Jacob when Jon returned to the private room. The young ladies were playing finger-guessing games and urging others to drink more while sitting on the men’s laps. It was as if they could not wait to be taken advantage of by the men.

An incoming alert rang in Jon’s phone. Simultaneously, different alerts also rang in Jacob and Morgan’s phones.

The latter pushed the lady who was sitting on his laps slightly backward to reach for his phone.

“What the f*ck?”

Morgan’s sudden curse frightened the lady next to him.

He shifted his attention from the phone to regard Jon with astonishment.

Sarah propped herself up on the bed to reach for her phone. It was not even 8:00 a.m. yet.She scratched her messy bed hair absentmindedly. It was normal for her to feel frustrated when she got out of bed in the morning. After a quick freshening up, she shuffled down the stairs in her slippers.Elder Shadwin was speaking over the phone in the living room. Sarah could guess who he was speaking to just by the expression on the man’s face.Sarah’s uncle lived in the military base all year round. He rarely came home even for the festivals. On the other hand, his wife, who had been staying in France to help with their son’s study had settled down in France when the latter decided to stay abroad to pursue his career after graduation. Elder Shadwin turned around to notice Sarah changing into outdoor shoes by the door. “Where are you going again?”She made up a lie. “I left something behind at Maddy’s. I’m going to get it now!”The old man rose from the couch. “Why don’t you get Aunt Diane to retrieve it for you? It’s cold outside. Must you do it right now?”The girl pushed the door wide open, ignoring her grandpa’s concern.…… To say that Shadwin Residence was massive was an understatement. Sarah knew that it would take some time for Jon to reach the main gate. She took a shortcut by skipping the small-scale golf course and dashed for the back door right away.Shadwin Residence was a manor-style villa that occupied a large land area in the shape of an oblique triangle. If Sarah left through the back door, she would reach the side road that led to the main road in a short linear distance. She picked up her pace and began running in the end. Her brain was teeming with tangle thoughts that she could barely sor

Indeed, Sarah had always seen Jon and Jaclyn together in the past few days. That encounter in the clubhouse was a good example. She felt a surge of anger as she was reminded of Jaclyn’s flirtatious attitude.Maddy, who was sitting next to her, blinked back blankly as he posed the question, “Sarah, what are you planning to do?”Sarah lifted her eyes to throw him a deathly glare as she snatched the phone from his hand simultaneously. “What else can I do?!”She copied the content of the Weibo post and delivered it to Quentin’s WeChat without hesitation.A mischievous smile spread across Maddy’s face. “You cunning little fox. I think you really don’t wish the Groves a peaceful New Year. Your dad will definitely fly off the handle when he reads this news…”“…”Sarah refused to comment. She returned the cell phone to Maddy after getting back on Jaclyn. Two days before Chinese New Year, Jaclyn was shouting angrily at her agent in the corridor of Central Hospital.“Are you being serious? Didn’t you tell me that you’re acquainted with the mid-level leader of that website? Why haven’t you sorted this out?! How could they take the liberty to block my Weibo account? I’m a public figure and they’ve just violated my privacy. That’s illegal!”Vivian, the agent, appeared in a dilemma. She endured the reproach before trying to advise the other woman, “Elder Sister Jaclyn, please try to calm down. I’ve told my friend about this but he mentioned that it’s really out of his control. Although we live in a world of technology, you have thousands upon thousands of fans thus this might be inappropriate…”Jaclyn’s facial features twisted but she stood her ground. “What do you mean that it’s inappropriate? I’ve been beaten up by a group of people for no reason but I can’t even post several photos? Have I violated any law? I’m just trying to demand ju
