In The Midst Of Tempest

Prologue

 To: Xor

 Can we meet?  I have something to tell you.

 My lips pursed a small smile as I sent those messages.

 From: Xor

 Ok.

 To: Xor

 6:00 pm.  Blossom Park.

 I didn't wait for his reply.  I shut off my phone for a bit.  I readied myself for our meet up later.  I wear a red dress that he gave me on my recent birthday.  I put light make-up. I let my lengthy black hair down.

 I'm so optimistic and excited as well.  I got on to the park.  And waited for him.  I turned on my phone.  He had a message.

 From: Xor

 I'll be late for a minute.

 I welcomed him with an ample smile when he already arrived. He just gave a sparing smile.

 Finally!  This is the moment I've been dawdling for.  The juncture that I have the strength to confide my feelings.

 "What are you going to tell me?"

He asked lazily and his stares look exhausted.  I'm not used to it.

 Every time we meet he will constantly reveal his joyous face even he's drained. But this time I feel something unusual.  Maybe he's just too tired so that's how he looks.

 "Don't overthink Acy." I encouraged myself.

 I took a deep breath before I spoke, "Ahm, Xor...First I want to say thank you for always there for me... Thank you for accepting who I am..Thank you for everything... But the important words that I want to tell you are..." I halted.

 I gaze at him.  I first bestowed him the small box I was holding up.

 "I LOVE YOU!"

 There I said it finally.  I'm so inclined that I did it.  I still can't take my eyes off him.  I want to see his reaction.

 He's just staring at me seriously with no trace of emotions on his face.  But still, I show him a wide smile.

 Although I was worried about his feasible response.  He looked away from me and stooped her head.

 "I'm sorry." He whispered.

But it's still sufficient for me to hear it. It wasn't the response I expected.  What does he mean?  Why does my heart unexpectedly throb?  I waited for the following words.

 "I'm sorry, Acy," he repeated.

 He was still bent over so I could not see his face.

 "Why are you saying sorry?" My tone of voice has a bit of frustration on it.

 Why he can't tell me instantly what he means?

 "I'm sorry ... I can't love you back .."

 "I've never loved you."

 I lost strength when I heard his words.

 "But you said last time you love me. I assumed that we have the same feelings. So that's why I met you today."  My voice cracked. I tried to stop myself from bursting out into tears.

 "Well, I told an untruth to you."

 "The first time we meet it's not by accident ... It was all schemed by me .."

 "Getting close to you ... Everything that happened between the two of us .."

 "It's just only part of my plan .."

 I just listened to what he said.  It seemed impossible for me to understand what he was saying. I can't process everything he said.

 "What do you mean?"  I asked confused.

 "To get vengeance with you."

 He lifts his head.  He's seriously looking at me.  I gave him a puzzled look.

 "Have you forgotten what you committed 2 years ago?"

 "What happened 2 years ago?"  I asked.

 I tried to recall everything about what occurred two years ago.  But I just got a headache while reckoning about it.

 "You hit someone that close to me."

 "What? I have no memory that I had an accident." I said.

 "Really? You ran away and forgot about it."

 He said mockingly.

 "I swear. I didn't hit someone."

 "Stop lying," he sighed.

 He threw the box I gave him.

 "I'm not," I whispered.

 "Stop lying. Stop acting."

 "Please believe me Xoren. I didn't do it," I sob.

 "I will never believe a sinful like you. There's a shred of evidence that you ran into him. Admit it," he grumbled.

 "No, I didn't."

 "I will not admit anything because I didn't do anything wrong .."

 "Please believe me ..." I begged.

 "Why would I believe you? You are nothing to me ..."

 "You are just a piece of shit for me .."

 I saw his eyes full of pain and hate.

 "Please ... Xoren," I pleaded.

 I kneeled in front of him.  He blamed me for something I didn't did.

 "I've never really cared for you .."

 "There is only one that I will love until my last breath and that was the woman you killed," he said full of resentment.

 "I will not stop until you reimburse for what you did .."

 "I thought your body was sufficient to compensate for everything ... But it wasn't ..."

 "Seeing you in jail greatly better."

 So what transpired to us was the only aspect of his revenge.

 It's painful hearing those words from him.

 It was as if a knife had pierced my heart over and over again.

 "Remember .."

 "This is not the last time we'll meet .."

 "See you in jail or hell."

 "I want you to die, Acy."

 He underscored his last words.  There was not even remorse on his face when he said those words.

 He stared at me full of hatred.  Then he turned his back on me and walked away.

 I ran out of the energy of what happened.  I was still on my knees and sobbing.

 This is the second time I have felt being hurt so much. First the loss of my dad.  And now the distress that I got from the man I adore.

 I stood with my knees shaking.  I wiped away my tears.  But they are still struggling to stream on my cheeks.

 I don't know where I am going.  I just take a walk while bent over still crying in misery.

 I was surprised that a dazzling light came on me.  I looked at its source.  A car is coming.

 It blew its horn loudly to drive me off the road.  But, it's all too late.  The car was moving fast so it hit me.

 I just found myself lying on the ground full of my blood.  My mind still receptive but my eyes getting blurry.

 "Wish granted, Xoren. I'll be gone forever," I whispered.

 I shut my eyes.  And everything went black.
