Dinner Invitation

A few days passed in a blink. 

A lot of things changed in those few days. Initially, BH Industries tried fixing a meeting with IL, but all the efforts were in vain. Due to this, BH Industries was in chaos.

Dave was never at home, and Olivia was getting frustrated. But she could not blame anyone for this, because she knew for the current situation, even if she was responsible to a certain degree.

All the efforts of Dave paid off, and soon financial help arrived. All the shares under Evelyn's name were purchased by a private bank, which was extensively spread overseas. All their halted work soon began to progress.

Sheldon Entertainment made some huge management changes, and Clara was acquainted with the working atmosphere. Now she was more focused on her professional development rather than her personal.

Knight Corporate under Alexander was working smoothly. They even planned to expand their business. There were meetings lined up throughout the day, giving him little time to relax.

Through all this mess, a dinner invitation arrived at both Sheldon's and Knight's Manson.

"Dad, you called me?" Clara entered the study in doubt. She was rarely called here.

"Read this," Clara took the invite and started rummaging in her memories for all the likely mistakes she might have made, over a few days.

'I wasted a lot of papers in the company,'

'I even made a few mistakes in the presentation,'

'I cannot forget getting too excited over single praise,'

'Oh, I even call called Dad, as Dad and not CEO or Sir in a meeting,'

' But it was not my mistake, it was an impulsive thing,'

'but if we think carefully abo..'

"What are you thinking about so hard?" Mr. Sheldon interrupted her, Clara's thoughts were clearly written on her face. It was fun seeing her facial expression changing within seconds.

"Just open the card and read." 

Clara did not waste any time speculating about it more. What was the use now? Just read this and then say sorry.

Reading the invite, Clara's eyes widened. She was not sure if it was due to shock or happiness.

"This," She moved her sight towards her father to conform.

"Hmm, It's tomorrow." Mr. Sheldon conformed. A faint smile formed on his face.

He knew how much his daughter wanted to meet Evelyn. Even though Clara did not ask much, it was evident that she was greatly impressed by the girl.

But as the days passed, there was not much change. BH Industries soon gained stability, but there was still a loss of power. Many prominent shareholders left while the others were not very happy.

"It says family, so I am also invited, right?" Clara just wanted to confirm.

"Hmm"

"I need to go shopping tomorrow and I ne.." before she could continue, Clara was interrupted abruptly.

"You have a brunch meeting with Evelyn tomorrow," Clara's eyes narrowed. She was doubtful and read the content once more to see the missing contents.

"Evelyn's assistant called," Mr. Sheldon said, seeing his daughter's confused face. "I'll forward you the address and be sure not to say a word to anyone."

Evelyn's face was not yet disclosed to the world, and he wanted to respect that. It was still unsure what would happen in the future, and as a businessman, he wanted things in his favor.

'And maybe Clara would learn a thing or two.'
