Oppose Kyle?

Clara was watching Eve cross the road while she waited for Alexander to pick her up.

As Eve was about to open her car door, she abruptly turned to wave her hand. Eve winked at Clara with a smile. Mild wind was whirling, giving an artistic illusion.

As soon as she turned around, Clara was patted on her shoulder. She was faced with a familiar set of features. Comfort wrapped her while her eyes shimmer.

"Someone seems to be in a good mood." Alexander's eyes narrowed. He has been searching her like crazy until the Queen bee eventually decided to reply. He crossed his arm over his chest.

"I am." Clara's eyes glittered as they walked towards the car.

"This is new. What changed?" Alexander sat alongside Clara, stroking his chin. He did not believe her one bit.

"You saw the girl just now?" Clar suddenly shifted, facing Alexander. Her voice was filled with a new spirit.

"The one that waved at you?" 

"Mm-hmm, her name is Eve," Clara exclaimed  "She said something extremely important today, made me realize who is important for me and who is not." 

"Irrespective of how long I have known them," Clara added, her voice was filled with sorrow at the end of the sentence. She remembered the happy memories they shared over the years.

The words hit Alexander hard as it had hit Clara. They have known Kyle all their life but yet...

Clara gazed out into the distance. Her emotions were completely different than before. The cold wind blew through the window, fiddling with her blond hair. She beamed irrespective of her previous feelings.

She has promised herself today. Apart from her, no one else can make her unhappy. Once she cherishes herself more, she will be happy.

Alexander was doubtful. Just a few hours with Eve was able to lit Clara's spirit. Clara is an essential part of his life. Even now, when his heart was broken as well, he was more worried about her. 

Did he truly love Layla, or was it just an attraction? He should have fought for her love. Maybe ask her a few questions? But he was anxious about Clara, for the time being forgetting about Layla.

Maybe it wasn't love in the first place.

Sheldon Manson. 

Clara was facing her father. The atmosphere was tense, as Mr. Sheldon gave a questionable look to his daughter.

Just an hour before, all the tabloids had only one news regarding his daughter. The heir of Sheldon Entertainment was rejected by none other than the beloved Kyle Black. All their relationships since childhood were disclosed. Due to exaggerated words, Clara was portrayed as having a crazy one-sided love coming in between some love birds.

 Entering a hotel crying minutes after being rejected dropped their stock by a little percentage.

But soon, their stock shoots high when news spread that Clara was crying because she was too happy. Not only, the heiress knew one of the most influential person, but they shared an hour together exchanging pleasantries.

Mr. Sheldon knew his daughter was broken, and he was ready to emotionally support her. But now his daughter was sitting in front of him, beaming in confidence.

"I want to establish a production company for original television contents." Her words echoed in the silent room.

"Are you trying to oppose Kyle?" Anyone would think that, and so did Mr. Sheldon. 

It was just today at Dave's wedding reception, it was announced that his younger brother Kyle Black would start a new venture. To make matters worse, they decided to expand their hands in the entertainment industry.

"No, I want to do something on my own," Clara knew, many people will think the same. But she wanted to achieve a particular height before taking on the complex role of a CEO. "I want to create a place for myself, that no one could shake by their words."

"But, you are the sole heiress of.."

"On my own dad," Clara covered the distance, kissing Mr. Sheldon on his cheeks.

 "But I will definitely use your name too," she gave him a cheesy smile like a spoiled daughter needing her father's approval " Don't worry, dad."

"Alex come, it is time that we eat ice-cream in my room." 

Before Mr. Sheldon could answer, Clara eyed Alexander and started pulling him towards her room. 

Seeing the back of his daughter Mr. Sheldon could only shake his head. Maybe he spoils her too much was the only thought on his mind before his eyes moved towards the picture on the tabloid.

"Why?" Alexander already did not understand the sudden change in behavior, but he still followed without making any fuss.

"We both are heartbroken," It was the first time Clara acknowledged his suffering, which made Alexander's eyes wide in surprise.

"As I said before, I was taught today some valuable things," a corner of her mouth lifted "you are the one that matters to me, brother!" 

"You are freaking me out now," Alexander chuckled, rubbing his well-defined eyebrows in the process.

"Shut up, and let's pour our sorrows into a bucket of ice-cream."
