By the time the alarm clock rang Cherise was already awake, her heart beating outside her chest. She has never been this nervous before. This was going to be her tenth interview in one month. Everywhere she went they just took one look at her, and most of them didn’t even give her a chance once they saw her name. The daughter of a man who ruined many people’s life. The worse part was it was not her fault. She was only but a child when her father embezzled money from the company. But people also blamed her and her mother even though her father was already in jail for the past nine years.  She had a quick shower in the small worn out bathroom. She couldn’t believe she had grown up in a mansion where she had her own room, and bigger bathroom than the trailer they now lived in. It was disturbing, but it taught her so much. Cherise walked around the store filling up her basket with lots of underwear and lingerie, she knew people were staring she didn’t seem like she could afford even one thing from the store but she didn’t care, after today she was going to have everything she will need to start her new job. She was too excited she didn’t even check how much money, she had in card but when she got in the front of the queue and supplied the card, she sighed in relief when the card approved, but she was not the only one who sighed, the teller was not ready to put back all those underwear back.  Next it was the forever twenty one store where she purchased five pencil skirt even though she knew she was going to work as a maid. Five jeans, tank tops, and sandals and sneakers. She was not buying too much because she was now scared the card was almost exceeding it’s limit not knowing Alexandra had given her a limitless car

Alexandra looked out of the window, trying to calm her beating heart. She was glad the sight if the trailer park, broke her trance. She wanted to devour her but seeing where she lived now, made her angry? She didn’t like it all. That’s why she made a decision to let her come stay at her house. All her maids already did anyway, but it was  their choice.  “You’re not beyond punishment Innocent, keep smiling like that again, and I’m going to spank that ass of yours, your job is to mind your business not mine” she rolled her eyes fixing her make up, before taking a look at a file Caroline, her assistant gave to her about the new lotion. It had a rare scent coming from the flower they got from Ethiopia. It was going to be hard to make sure it fit what their clients liked but Alexandra liked a challenge, what’s life without one? 

The moment Cherise saw the big mansion they were driving into, she forgot about the woman who was typing in her computer frantically like a very irritated receptionist. The mansion was huge, bricks painted cream, and brown. It was bigger than the house she used to live in when she was growing up, and the house was big.
