  • Part of Me, Years Ago...   Chapter 24

"Don't worry, I'll stay with you throughout the night but let's find somewhere to sit." She suggested, pulling me into the crowd again.Giggling of the girls drowned out the thudding though. I caught the sight of a lone girl, who was immediately apparent that she was not from around America. She had grey, smoked-topaz eyes and a darker auburn hair which fell to her mid-back. She had slightly paler skin than most of the girls that were present at the party, and she had fallow freckles splattered across her face, like someone had flicked a brush tipped with brown paint across her cheeks. Her eyebrows were almost perfect; her smoked topazes inside her skull were so very seductive; her cheekbones prominent on her indulgent face. She smiled lovingly, her lips looked soft as velvet, in a beautiful shade of Frosted Tulip. She, unlike the other girls in the building, she was fully dressed: her bosoms covered completely by a white silk blouse, and a purple

A Week Later,It was a perfect evening, the wind was calm, and the fog was nestled against the wide opened windows.I peeped in the mirror once more to fill my satisfaction. My blue eyes flecked with every shade of the colour and glossed over so they sparkled like a hundred diamonds; full lips and cheeks, both plump and rosy; and night black, perfectly curled locks that fell down my curvy, ivory skin to my elbows. Like the sky, I wore a dark, navy blue micro-mini dress that was barely touching my knees. It had shiny stones on it and it looked fitted on me.Kate sat on the wooden stool in front of the dressing table. Applying more layers of purple liquid liner on her glamorous smokey eyes."Isn't that enough, Kate. You're looking like a black cat!" I joked."You never cease to surprise me, Ally!" She jeered at my talk. "It's a birthday party were going for, not class. If you must kno

  • Part of Me, Years Ago...   Chapter 22

Finally, I drifted off from sleep. I woke up with a sudden, fierce headache that wouldn't go away. Lying there in the loneliness of the dark, fighting the pain until the sun came up, and it was time I dragged myself on my feet. The first rays of the sun were cool and bracing to the eyes. It was so early in the morning. Kate was still sleeping. I couldn't sleep well last night because she was busy chatting with Lee over the phone. Their noisy conversations and silly voice note brought me from dreamland over and over again but with all of it. I would have gone back to study by I'm sure Kate would deprive me the silence I need as well. I wonder why Its just so difficult putting up with her. I managed to sleep at 4:00 am, after their chatting.I listened skeptically. I was anticipating a far more intensive study routine. I really want to study hard (as a serious student I am) in order to become a journalist. Or maybe a renowned reporter

"What about Kate?" He asked."Oh! She went somewhere with some of her new friends. Perhaps, we walk separately these days."'Omg! Why did I say that?!' I cried in my head. It seems I just do stupid things around Lucas."Hope all is well between you two? It's as if Kate is kind of avoiding us or something.""Well, I don't know. She hardly sleeps at home as well. So, you guys going to the lecture hall?""Yes. We wanted to meet the course rep to discuss something with him. Would chat with you later, Alex." Miles chirped."Okay, bye." I smiled at them as they left. Lucas was wearing a mysterious look. His eyes had this unusual stern, I couldn't understand why. I just looked away. With what happened last, I think he shouldn't even look at me. He's just claiming what he isn't. Annoying freak!'Fuck you!' I spat at him in my mind as they walked away.

  • Part of Me, Years Ago...   Chapter 20

In school, a queue of students were bathing their faces at a single tap. A girl pushed me from behind as I fastened my movement.'Joining the queue would be a waste of time.' I thought as I walked into the lecture hall. Kate went to sit somewhere at the last roll. Lucas and Angel sat in the middle of the class, while I joined Vivian at the front. It was Mr. Davis's lecture. Davis Mattew is a French who's ben teaching English Language in the college for years. He just comes to class and bragging about his past achievements and whom he has encountered with in his past years of working in media houses. His class was always boring and most times, I wonder why an honored school like ours would even employee him in the fist place. Gosh! How annoying. Well, I don't bother keeping any of his stories in my already filled memory. I find myself sleeping in his class most times. Not only me, but several students as well. After

  • Part of Me, Years Ago...   Chapter 19

My hair was perfectly put in a messy bun as I used two black pins to hold it firm at each side. I stared at myself once more, I just looked how I wanted. Naturally beautiful and ready to go."Do you want to put on some makeup? You can use mine." Kate suggested as she came out of the bathroom. She brought out a small, pink makeup purse, placing it on the dressing table before me."Where did you get these?" I asked as a smile lights up my face."I bought them three days ago. Although, I don't know how to properly use them yet, you can try them on.""Okay, thank you." I looked at the mirror again. My beautiful oblong face looked a little pale and a bit dry. Even though I don't wear makeup frequently, I take care of my skin and body so well. Have you ever woken up and felt you need to put on makeup? That's what was playing through my mind but who cares.
