The Adventures of Rainbow

Gary looked out the window, he was bored out of his mind. Why did his tutor have to over complicate everything? He sighed. "Well if you're not going to listen, I don't know why I bother to teach you the skills you need in life!" His tutor huffed. Gary looked at him not really that bothered. "Look," started the tutor again "I know it's not easy being a Sheffield, but you have to know this content."  

Gary changed the channel on the TV again. He didn't want to watch any of the shows that were on. He sighed and flopped back on his bed. Being the Mayor's son was terrible, everyone thought that you had the best life and were either jealous of you, or thought that you were a spoilt brat. Sure, he had a lot of material possessions but what he really wanted his father couldn't buy.Love.

His father was sitting in his Mayor's seat facing the wall. Gary crept inside and sat on the stool in front of the desk. It was a small room, it always made Gary feel claustrophobic especially as he only went in there when he was being told off by his dad. It was the most sound proofed room in the building because this was where all the mayor's deals were made. Gary hated going in the room because he knew that he was going to spend the rest of his life in it just like his father. The walls were decorated with the previous mayors of the county they were all Sheffield's as unlike some counties the Sheffield mayor's medallion followed a bloodline, one by which controlled everything Gary

Gary looked at him completely bewildered. He sat there confused as his father continued in his stern voice. "You will be going to a mayor school near the edge of our county. It is a boarding school but I expect your best behaviour! You will leave in a couple of days and return for February break on the 12th. Go and get ready." His father finished.  Gary's jaw dropped and his eyes sparkled with wonder.

Before Gary knew it, he was getting in the limousine and heading to the school. He had done some research on schools in the area and found out that it was called St. Kuffberts. It was a boarding school for the children of well off families. He was slightly nervous, he was going to be around so many people his age. He didn't know how to act, be himself or be a mayor's child? Lots of similar thoughts ran through his head.
