Chapter 11

Life in college is incredibly simple. You don’t need much to be blesses with happiness – some place, fit equipment, unhealthy snacks and low-alcohol drinks. That’s it!

In the blink of an eye the flat rented by Carter and Christian changed into Friday entertainment centre. Every corner was occupied by a group of people dripping beer, sounds of aggressive rock and hip-hop was flowing from the speakers densely located in every room, on couches and chairs sat couples busy with wooing. ‘Perfect way to spend your free evening!’ Jay thought with slight bitterness. She had already forgotten how it is to play carelessly with friends. Recently she spent every free moment on training and studying magic books that belonged to her family for generations.

‘Maybe it won’t hurt to get away from it all for a while?’ She thought. She stopped by small groups wanting to get caught up in some discussion, but her thoughts kept coming back to the afternoon events. She could still feel the vampire’s energy crawling upon her skin. It was hard, but she managed to hide from her brothers that something was wrong. ‘Before I’ll tell them and they’re involved in all this shit, I need to be sure!’ She thought. But it was easy to say, trucking the vampire down was another pair of shoes.

Frustrated she headed for the kitchen, opened the fridge’s door with sweeping motion and reached for the cooled beer. At first she wanted to take a stronger one, but finally she grabbed a bottle of her favorite ginger ale. She jumped gustily, as when she was closing the fridge, a figure emerged from behind its door.

    - Jesus! Weakfield! You want me to die of a heart attack? – She was angry with herself, that she was so surprised. Although, Bryan didn’t have any supernatural abilities or powers, but still she should had felt him. ‘Providing, I hadn’t been thinking only about one thing!’ She added sarcastically in mind.

    - Stressed? – He asked with a sly smile, and his eyes flashed mischievously.

    - Let’s say, this party it not my type. – She said with a sneer. – Besides, it’s weird to be on spree without Mel. What a shame that she couldn’t come with us for the weekend. Though, since September we’ll live together and probably soon we’ll begin to fly at each other’s throats. – She was running off at the mouth. Where does she take such an empty twaddle from?!

    - You always stick together. It’s a wonder, that my sister didn’t commit any crime to come. – He said with his charming, lazy smile. – She never wasted any chance to break free.

    - She likes to go crazy indeed. But, I guess, she’s still angry with you for Troy. You frightened him unnecessarily. – It was easier to lie, that Mel still frowns on her brother than to tell, that she’s dating Tony Parker now – a school rebel. ‘You must be able to cheer yourself up!’ She thought to herself.

    - I just wanted to protect her! – Fierceness in his voice told Jay to look at him more closely.

Resigned he shoved his hands in his pockets and leaned against the counter next to her. ‘Why the sight of him makes me feel hot?’ She thought feverishly. ‘He’s my best friend’s brother! For so many years he was always near, but I never felt anything special for him. No thrills. Actually, no guy made my heart beat faster. And now?’

He stopped her mind flow with next words.

    - I’ve heard him when he boasted to buddies, that as soon as he’ll screw Weakfield’s sister, he will dump her. – He almost whispered.

    - I don’t judge you. – She looked down embarrassed. How many times her brothers drove jerks away from her? – Somewhere deep in her heart, Mel knows that you meant well. – She stood in front of him and gently brushed her lips against his cheek. – One day she’ll thank you, of that I’m sure.

She wanted to turn around and just leave. She felt she should do it before it’s too late. But he quickly grabbed her arm and held her in place. His honey eyes were full of strange ardor. He slightly ran his hands along her arms, up to her neck, and finally dipped his fingers in her hair and took her in his arms. She looked fascinated into his wonderful amber irises. Her mouth was dry, and she felt a bump in her throat.

    - You’ve ran away from me for all summer. – He whispered, his mouth at her lips.

The kiss was light and tender. ‘She smells with vanilla and tastes like caramel – sweet and intense.’ Thoughts were swirling in Bryan’s head, like clouds in the sky. When Jay parted her lips, he clenched his fist on her hair and barged with his tongue between her lips, loosing himself in her completely. He slowly moved his hands down her spine, waking up all her instincts and needs that reminded asleep. He made a sudden turn pinning her to the kitchen counter. Her fingers clenched tightly on his shirt, her mouth eagerly responded to the kisses, tongues joined in a passion dance. When she pinched softly his lower lip with her teeth, he grabbed her by hips, lifted up and set her on the counter.

‘Isabo was only eighteen when she met our father, but she new since the first moment, that he’s the one.’ Jay remembered her mother’s eyes when she was recalling their first meeting. Dreamy expression on her face when she talked about turbulent beginnings of their relationship. As a kid Jay couldn’t understand everything. Only now, being so close to Bryan, she understood what Isabo meant while saying about unbridled passion.

She dipped her fingers in his soft hair. She pushed her face away, just few inches, to catch her breath and look into his eyes. She felt his desire. She could see it in his misty eyes. She put her hand on his neck, looking for his pulse with her fingertips. When she felt his raging pulse under the skin, galloping in the same rhythm as her heart struck, she knew she wouldn’t be able to stop this. What’s more, she realized she didn’t want to stop it.

Bryan was her friend. He would never hurt her.

    - Let’s get out of here. – She whispered, leaning into another kiss.

He stroked her cheek gently, took her hands in his, lifted them to his lips and kissed her fingers lightly. The look in her eyes made his blood boil. He grabbed her arm and pulled her behind him to the door. He paid no attention to the crowding people. The only thing he could think of was to get out of there. Just to be with Jay, alone.

When they went outside, he headed straight to his car. But before he opened the door for her, he pressed her against the car and kissed. Deeply and violently. Greedily, like a ravenous wolf.

    - I’ve got to take stock, so I won’t pounce on you in the car. – He said in a trembling whisper and laughed nervously.

While they were driving to the flat he rented together with Dave, he begun to have doubts. He waited for this moment for too long, and didn’t want to fuck it up. Jay wasn’t an ordinary girl. All the more, she wasn’t a conquest for one night. She trusted him, and he can’t let her down. He can’t hurt her. He would never forgive himself this.

When they arrived, he led her to the living room with dining area. He was leading an inside battle with himself.

    - Would you like something to drink? – He asked, trying to gain time.

    - No, thanks. – She was never afraid of challenges, but this time she was incredibly strung up. What’s more, she had impression that Bryan wants to withdraw.

    - Jay! – He started uncertainly. – We’re friends since childhood. – He wondered how to put into words all the thoughts swirling in his head. – If you’re not sure… If… - He didn’t finish.

In just a flash she was just right next to him. The look in her eyes was the same, as when she had asked him to leave the twins’ flat together. Her eyes were full of determination.

    - I’m sure, Bry. – She said with her mouths by his lips. – But I… have never… - She uttered and felt him froze in mid-motion.

He didn’t expect that. Thou he was aware, that Jay wasn’t a type of amorous girl, however, he would never expect, that he’ll be her first. He felt his heart pounding. With excitement. With fear. With joy.

He touched her face lightly and gently, but at the same time firmly, he lifted her face by the chin, forcing her to meet his eyes. He didn’t see fear in her sight. Rather slight embarrassment. The girl of his dreams stood before him, blushing because she had no experience. He felt a surge of tenderness. He leaned forward and lightly kissed her lips.

    - I won’t hurt you, babe. – He whispered, looking in her eyes. – Just let me lead.

She allowed him. She put herself into his hands completely. He didn’t stop kissing her tenderly as he led her to his bedroom. The soft moonlight shining through the window created perfect mood. She could feel the smell of his skin. So intense. Intoxicating. She groaned when he slipped his hand under her top. His touch was electrifying. She wasn’t able to think about anything else. The only thing that mattered was his closeness. She reached for the buttons of his shirt – she wanted to feel his warm skin under her fingers.

They undressed each other step by step, discovering each other’s bodies. He thought that he would have troubles to control himself, meanwhile, he enjoyed every moment, every uncovered scrap of her body, every inch of her soft, velvet skin. He breathed in her mild scent. He was exhilarated by the unusual aroma of vanilla and caramel. He couldn’t get enough of the sight of her naked body enveloped in a subtle silvery glow. Fascinated he watched her face, on which a whole range of feelings and emotions was visible. He was delighted with the taste of her hot, moist lips.

His hands were everywhere, marking with flame a trail on her body. A thin layer of sweat, which appeared on Jay’s skin, didn’t bring her any coolness. His kisses kindled her more and more, and his breath seemed to burn with real fire. She moaned and clenched her fists on his hair, when he dipped his fingers into her.

Slowly, but with firm moves, he brought her to the edge. He lifted up a bit, to be able to watch her face. When the first, sudden orgasm seized her, she opened her eyes widely. Her eyes were misty, full of ecstasy. From between her lips she drew a groan. He leaned over and bit into her parted lips.

She shivered under the weight of his body, shaken by spasms. She was panting. She nestled trustfully into him even more. She felt his gentle touch when he was stroking her warmed up skin. He lifted up on his elbow again and looked into her eyes.

    - You’re so beautiful! – He couldn’t stop himself from kissing her again.

He tightened his grip on her body. Didn’t let her cool down. Using his touch and mouth, he stirred up the flame again, the flame which even didn’t have time to fade. She was responding eagerly on his caresses, driving him crazy. The last effort of will he tore his lips from hers.

    - Look at me! – He asked in a voice hoarse with excitement. – I want you to look me in the eyes. – He croaked, when she looked at him a little bit confused. – Forgive me! – He whispered when he entered her quickly, violently.

She cried out, but didn’t close her eyes. Her body arched, defending itself against sudden pain. They both froze for a moment. She slowly loosened her hands clenched on the sheets, and then she lifted them to his face, dipped her fingers into his hair and pulled him to her, joining with him in a passionate kiss.

    - I’m sorry! – He whispered again, this time into her parted lips.

She lifted her hips and began to move them. Lazily. Rhythmically. That was too much for him. He kissed her greedily and lost all control over himself. The last thing that managed to break into his consciousness, was her cry full of ecstasy, when they together climb to the top and throw themselves into the abyss.

They came back to reality very slowly. Their breaths calmed down step by step, the pulse slowed its frantic pace. He knew that he’s crushing her with his weight, but he wasn’t able to move. There was still a buzzing noise in his head. He felt extremely light and blissful.

    - Your brothers will kill me! – He broke the silence. She could hear amusement in his voice.

She jumped rapidly, rolled him on his back and hovered just above him. Her lips were definitely too close. He felt, that he had no control over anything. She was dealing the cards.

    - You’re not going to tell them?! – She asked with a hint of fear in her voice.

    - They’ll work it out anyway. – He was surprised by her reaction. – What’s wrong?

    - I don’t want them to know. - She said.

    - Why? – He couldn’t understand. – I know your brothers. They’ll be pissed off, maybe we’ll kick each other’s asses, but we’re friends.

    - It’s not that! – She put her finger to his lips to stop him from saying anything more. – What just happened… - She paused, searching for words. – I’ve got a feeling that it’s going too fast.

    - You regret? – He asked quietly, thou it sounded more like a statement.

She looked deep into his honey eyes, leaned forward and brushed his lips lightly.

    - I don’t. – She assured him. – But I’m confused. I have to sort everything out. Get used to this new situation. – She explained. – And most of all, I want to enjoy it. – She kissed him again. – What happened between us belongs to us. And I’m not going to share this with anyone. – She beamed. – Even with brothers.

He didn’t know what to say. He didn’t want to hide from his friends that he wants to meet their sister. From the other hand, he understood Jay. He also had similar feelings. Everything happened so fast, that he didn’t have time to listen to the voice of reason. What’s more, somewhere deep down he was afraid, that Jay had took advantage of his interest in her person. That she wouldn’t want to be with him. But what she said, that she wants to enjoy it, made him stop to consider all the doubts accumulated in his head.

She clung to him all over the body. He felt her warm, even breath on his neck, and her palm on his heart. Appeased, he allowed himself to fell into a deep sleep.
