The First Fight

2020-08-30 23:00:01It was early in the morning as Arden exit the building that is no longer he could call home. He stroll the city while all the people living in the city were mostly asleep.
There were only some of people on the street of the city as he walks toward one of the biggest city gate amongst the other while thinking about his future, ‘what will I do after I became soldier on the Sir Aswick’s army?’
He smiled before answering the question by himself, ‘no matter what I will become after this, This would be my chance to turn my life to a merrier way’
He didn’t even realized that he was in front of column of people and some horses. “Eh, I’m already reached the place?” he said as he wonder how could he reached the place but soon didn’t pursue about it anymore.
‘No matter what, I need to go to Sir Aswick now…’ He was about to take his steps but a man suddenly approached him and asked with a questionable tone, “Hey kid, this is no place for you to be, go play with your friends”
Arden looked at him straight in the eyes before saying to him with an assertive voice, “Ah, Sir Aswick told me to meet him here, I’ll wait for him here and won’t move to another place”
The man looked at him as his eye looked the young boy from his head to his shoes before saying, “Whatever, I’ll let you stay here and rot here as the duke won’t really care about you”
The man pushes himself away to another direction and as he was going. Sir Aswick were becoming closer and closer to Arden with 4 young boys following behind him closely.
He quickly notices the young boy he met yesterday and quickly called for someone, “Hey you! Get me a short sword and a shield for this young boy!”
The duke shouted at the person that have just went away from Arden. The man looked back and saw the duke pointing at the young boy that he ‘casually’ offended earlier.
He scratched his head, avoided eye contact, and then rushes to a cart, took a sword and shield. Ran back toward Arden and gives it at Arden while muttered something under his breath, “Sorry…”
Arden smiled and laughed at him before assuring him, “It’s okay, it’s okay, not really a big matter for me”
The man still avoided eyes contact before going to his column and soon Arden followed him. With 4 other boys, he lined at the very back of the column of people.
The so called army left the city early in the morning and start walking toward the Province of Aswen. Not 20 minutes later, there were trees visible on the side of the roads, it was getting thicker and thicker.
Then he realized that he have entered a forest, the group did not question it but Arden became cautious because he is not familiar with the route. Not long after, the army stopped at a certain place.
Suddenly, a man approaches Arden and the other 4 young boys and said to them. “Hey, you all going to scout the road ahead, good luck”
They agree without any hesitation and soon the 5 boys found theirselves in the middle of the road. With their shiled on their left hands and their unsheathed swords at their right hand, cautiously walking far ahead of the main group.
Suddenly, a group of men came out from the side of the road and Arden quietly whisper to the other 5 boys, “Hey, they are probably bandits, one of you go tell the group, I’ll hold them here”
The 4 other boys replied to him with a voice of men that are ready to fight, “No, we will stay here and defeat them!”
The 5 of them charged toward the bandits while shouting “Charge!!”
There were a small scale of fight that turned out to be a deccesive win for the bandits. They won on numbers of people, one by one of the boy were impaled or slashed to death by the weapons of the bandits.
It was the first time Arden have fight such a realistic fight and see people getting killed. Was indeed a bloody fight for the young, naïve and unexperienced boy.
All that left from the 5 people scout group were him and 1 other boys that looked the same age of him. Arden were slightly injured but the other boy receives some big injuries.
They retreated to a safe distance from the bandits and with his fighting stance still used. He shouted to the other boy, “Hey! Go notify the group! I’ll hold them here!”
The bandit laughed upon hearing this but the boy took it as seriously as he can. He looked at the bandit and at the back of Arden’s before responding, “No! I will stay here! Even though that I will die here!”
Arden catch a glance for the last time before practically repeating the same words but now more loud and with intimidation tone, “I SAID GO AND NOTIFY THEM!”
The boy were not intimidated by Arden and replies, “No! My answer is still now whatever you say or do to me!”
Arden looked behind and dropped some tears by seeing this loyalty but still, he doesn’t want the boy to be killed, it won’t mean nothing to him.
With the tears on his face and him facing the boy, he said to him, “Please… This is my last wish if I were to die at this place!”
The boy he was talking to look at Arden’s face and felt that emotion flowing in his mind. In his vision, there were lights everywhere and he was focused on Arden’s face only.
The bandit laughed once again and Arden didn’t paid any attention to them. The young boy Arden were talking to were nervously sweating before straighten himself and hesitating but leaving not long after.
Now Arden is fighting a whole group by himself and he quickly changed back to his fighting style after wiping the tears on his face. There were actually a surprise for him because a man using gold necklace suddenly showed himself.
The bandits around him called him, “Boss!”
The young Arden instantly knew that the person with the golden necklace were the leader of the bandit group. The leader suddenly laughed and unnoticeable by himself, he produced tears after all that laughing.
He quickly wiped the tears on his eyes with the index finger before saying, “That was very dramatic! How about this, you don’t need to die today, fight one of my subordinate and I’ll let you go if you defeat him!”Knowing that this was his only chance, regardless of success or not, he nodded, giving a sign that he agrees. One of the bandit quickly shout, “Let me fight him! I can defeat him even if I were blindfolded”
He said with the confidence on himself that is even higher than the heaven. However, the other bandits actually agrees on him fighting Arden and he soon steps forward.
There were a staring match before the 2 of them clashes with each other. But once they did, it was weirdly an even match between the young boy and the grown up bandit.
…
Their swords clashes in the middle of the road and Arden quickly pushes himself away from the bandit. The bandit he is fighting lifted his hand above the air and swing it down at unimaginable speed.
Arden quickly raises his shield up, barely blocking that attack and keep his life. With the sword of the bandit on his shield, Arden found an opening on the bandit’s defence.
The stomach.
He quickly swung his sword and was about to slash the man’s stomach open but the shield of the bandit were suddenly there. He looked above to see the disgusting face of the bandit as they make eye contact.
Distraction.
It was distraction, a sudden pain out of nowhere can be felt on his stomach. Apparently the bandit have kicked him in the stomach, perhaps a little bit too hard because there were some blood coming from his mouth.
Fortunately, he swung his feet to the private part of the bandit almost immediately after he felt the pain on the stomach. The bandit however, did not react at all, it’s like that his balls were never there.
Then Arden heard one of the bandit on the background saying, “Haha! Old tricks! He didn’t know that the man he is fighting is known as ballless f*ck”
‘Make sense’ he said to himself before focusing back at the fight of him and the bandit. But…
While he was hearing the bandit on the background, due to the size of the bandit. The bandit managed to slash the back of Arden when he didn’t notice about it.
Arden quickly pushes himself away from the bandit and the bandit the same. He then shouted at him, “Let’s finish this in one attack!”
The bandi replied with, “Yeahhhhhh, Ahhhhhhh!”
“Ahhhhh!” The 2 guy charge at each other with their sword aiming for each other and then…
