LOGINDion Bismark considered, when will the fools who thought of themselves so highly would come around and tell him that his plan was valuable? The data alone convinced him of how viable the plan is. Aured City was a hotbed of Outriders and Mercenaries looking for work in this godforsaken world. He could make use of them.
Investing in the research and development sector had caused him to gather a fortune. But now he wasn't so sure about how things should be. Arrogant, brazen, this was something he had the right to. But even his well-earned arrogance couldn't move the hearts of the passive fools guarding the City of Aured.
"One message alert," his communication device rang as he leaned on the window of his car. Opening the communication device, he received an anonymous message. Noting that the message came from someone who he planted in the DBA of Haven. The only place who would put a bounty on him was Haven.
"A bounty hunter has recently come to take the job of putting you down." The message reads. "Watch out for your head. He sounds serious."
"That's new," Dion Bismark muttered. He archived the message while taking out a bracelet from one of the car's compartments. Fitting the bracelet on his dominant hand. Dion Bismark gathered the ether around the air. Circulating the ether from his toe to head, completing a full body relay of ether. A thick purple glow appeared on top of Dion Bismark's skin.
"I have to be careful," Dion Bismark said. To Dion Bismark there are only a few fools who would dare to take on the job of taking his head. Either they know what they are doing or they know nothing at all. But fools like that can be dangerous, and it was not Dion Bismark's style to leave it to fate. Someone who reached Haven is dangerous. Dion Bismark couldn't believe that someone would stumble in and take the contract. Not knowing who he is.
Smiling, he thought if no one still knows who he was then what was the point of his actions? He capitalized on his etherian abilities to crush opponents and seize assets. "I have to make sure that all the sacrifices were not in vain."
Watching the neon lights of Aured City. He took in the sights and his gaze finally landed on the corner of the street. He thought of the days where he was part of the streets. Begging alms from people who couldn't even eat twice a day. Being spat at and treated like some enormous rat you'd kick away. Then the dew of the Gods granted him a way to rise from the lowest. What he has now is because of his own work. He killed for it. He broke skulls to get where he was now. But even he himself knows that even the etherians won't be able to rule Aured City if they continue to be stubborn.
All of humanity could turn against them. He understood it better that if the etherians could get these abilities. Then what about the belua's that are lurking in the corner? He had proposed a plan. But the passive cowards of Aured City wouldn't act on it. They rather watch the city turn into a hellish urban sprawl. The iron bastion of humanity could fall apart with how congested the structures are. Each webbed skyways connected by pillars that have not been maintain for years. Outposts are constantly in danger of being destroyed because of the belua running around. Lately, 10m belua's and the iron-forged beasts are rampaging around, forcing him to take drastic measures to the places he had funded.
But thinking of the hard choices would cloud his mind. Putting the thoughts in the back of his head. He turned his attention to the woman sitting close to him. She was Diana Marks. One of his acquaintances that had grown with him. They have been together for years and through thick and thin they have suffered together.
"Diana, do you think we must spend more time listening to those old fools?"
"Dion," she said to him. "We must attend this show to show our goodwill."
Dion Bismark took his communication device and forwarded the message to her device. Her eyes slightly opening, she opened the message and frowned. "Someone has the guts to hunt you down?"
"It seems so. Diana, you will be in danger."
"Nothing new. But this is a problem in a way. Who is stupid enough to take action against you when you are heading to a public event?"
"Who knows? But if this killer of ours is confident enough to take this job while I am out in the open. It only means he must have a way to kill me."
"Or he could be idiotic, thinking he could take out an etherian."
"True," Dion Bismark nodded. "But he'll be making use of the crowd to kill us."
"Did the informant have anything to add other than this?"
"No, you know how risky it is for this one to send a message without Haven finding out. More than this and this one could have his head in a spike within days. I don't want a gang of Haven-affiliated bounty hunters helping."
"So should we cancel then?"
"No, let him come. If we back out now, then we'll have no way of contacting the top arms dealer."
"We're nearing our location. Should I have the crew in the perimeter?"
"Do it. I want you out of this place the moment the fighting starts."
"No, I'll be with you."
"Diana," Dion Bismark's voice grew stern. "You know what my opinion in this."
"Understood," she nodded her head. "Then we should-"
Dion Bismark's eyes glowed with ether. He spread his arms open and a dome of ether light covered him and Diana. The car spun to a wall and before it could hit. He burst through the roof of the car, leaving the car to slam on the wall. Landing on the street floor, Dion Bismark sharpened his sense and spread his vision to where that attack came from.
"On that building!" Dion spread his ether on Diana. "Diana! Run! Now!"
Dion Bismark conjured lightning as he struck the bullet that was coming at Diana. Causing an incendiary explosion, throwing Diana off to a nearby wall. Seeing that Dion Bismark didn't hesitate to rush the attacker. His ether lashing out and propelling him forward!
The orbs of light hanging on the circular tower not far from where he was lighted Jakob's face. The veil of rain splits the lights. On the community, there was a group of people opening the hatches so that the floodwater whirls down the drain. From the second-floors of the buildings, there were men and women dressed in thick gray clothing.Jakob rested his back on the bench. He looked up. The flyers of Aured City numbered about hundreds a day. The city consumed fuel than any of the bastion cities. He had been ignorant of the world. Jakob did not have to know about the city. All he knows back then was how to survive a day outside of the city.Jakob clenched his fist. He had done something to change something. He did not know what it was that made things turned out this way, but he could not understand the empty feeling. The feelings he had while in battle were like momentary and fleeting."I really cannot do it," Jakob said. The rainwater was like spray hitting h
Jakob stood behind Helga. She wore a sharp business suit with a red tie. She had gloved her hands and tied her hair into a ponytail. She spoke to a man armed to the teeth. Though he looked intimidating, Helga did not show any stiffness or being overwhelmed. How could he, when Jakob was standing behind her with such an expression? The two talked for minutes. Helga shook the armored hand of the man and started strutting to the pad. The Karnifex was on the landing pad. Helga stood. She took out a cigarette from her pocket, lighting it up. She looked up at the Aured Sky."Just a drizzle of rain," Helga said.Jakob folded his armored arms. Helga snickered."You are getting used to that suit.""Hard to take it off when it seems like you are making use of me too much.""Can't help it, you are a good at what you do. Also, the Boss wants to personally make sure that my safety is secured."Jakob surveyed the area. The personnel from the buildin
Dona liked to mix drinks. She had become a better mixer than ever. It seems she had a natural talent. Helga had praised her drink, and when Jakob comes home, she would give him a stiff one that would ease his muscles. They had not done it for a long time, though she did not mind it. He was always full of thoughts and his mind would wander. Not that it matters to her as long as he comes home safe from his missions. He had become one of the terrifying people that Haven knew after his recent works, which made him quite an important person. Just by association, they treated her with respect. Dona knows she was riding on his coattails. It did not bother her that there are those who would call her hurtful words.Jakob was not someone who was a restricting person. For someone who started the relationship with cash, he was someone who did not bother too much about it. He was not a wasteful man. He was thrifty, and he liked to eat nutritional food with fondness. He acts like an
The event definitely took the attention of the people to the fields of Gharasu. The discovery of the cattle-human, and the appearance of the beluaman showed the world who the true enemy was again. They discovered the steelfort project hidden from Humanity. Leaders gathered to address the issue regarding the Project.Commander Stan Blackwells, accompanied by Anastasia and Karl arrived in the conference of leaders. Karl, the holder of the access key to the satellites around the world announced that he is siding with the Commander of Recon Korp. The move alongside the appearance of Commander Blackwell, supported by both human and etherian made the Leaders accept Commander Blackwells' status as one of the protectors of Aured City.As for where Sanctum and Haven stands in the issue, they answered by showing their neutrality in the matter. The first request that Karl made was to take back Gharasu and the steelfort. The government moved to prove that they are accommodating. T

The beluaman raises the ground, forcing Jakob to use the grappler stake to swing around the beluaman's attack, using the momentum created by the weight of the greatsword to hasten the swing. He turns around to smash the greatsword down on a 15m belua."Still alive, J," Helga called, "you are making Dona worry.""Got to buy time, Hel," Jakob flattened the greatsword to block a root spire. He grappled on the 15m belua, threw the greatsword, caught it, and pummeled a belua pouncing at him. Landing on top of a belua, he stabbed the greatsword's tip."Your suit is a mess," Helga said, "the amount of repairs it'll need is going to cost you. Nonetheless, the ether forge,
Her opinion towards humans were low. Anastasia will not work with these humans if she had the chance to do so. Blackwells changed her opinions of them. This time she had to admit. Humans were not as inferior as she thought. Their technology were keeping them alive. Even their medicine and drugs have started evolving. The suit this Outrider was wearing and the ability to lift her Blackwell's sword was enough to indicate.Still, it was odd in a sense that she did not see the usual side effects. He did not even take the usual syringes that one would take. Her and her Blackwells have been part of the many meetings and experiments. They share the burden of turning their fellow etherians into good soldiers. Therefore, she did not recognize any signs of modification other than the well-made exosuit. Deep in the swamp, hit by the rain, and surrounded. Anastasia kept her calm while pulling her Blackwells away. Blackwells conserved his energy. His eyes lacked light. There is an
