Dada’s other relatives were scared of staying in that funeral house because of its not-so-pleasant reputation. Meanwhile, at Dada’s house, Tita haunted her own room during the first few days so no relatives of hers slept there either. They huddled up in the living room at night, lying down on the couches, chairs and sleeping on the floor. Then in the morning, they all went back to the wake.
