Chapter 1

It had been a few months since they had their honeymoon and while they are glad to be home Daciana misses her southern cabin and spending time with Marrok. Since they had been home, they got in the routine of doing Alpha and Luna stuff making sure things are running smoothly and everyone in the pack is staying out of trouble. Everyone has a lot of respect for not only their Alpha but their new Luna and treat her with just as much respect as  Marrok. As the months went by since their honeymoon  Marrok noticed that Daciana had not been her normal self. So, he took her to see the local werewolf doctor that lives with the pack. The doctor may look old fashioned, but he is a good doctor before and after he became a werewolf. His name is Doctor Bader Luan. He may have looked like he was in his upper 20s maybe early 30s, but he is a couple of hundred years old. Similar height to  Marrok around 6ft maybe 6ft2. Long, and straight, blonde hair pulled back into a long ponytail, a small blonde goatee on his chin, long and angular facial features, and tinted glasses so if non-werewolves who see him do not have any idea that he is not human.

“Good day Alpha Marrok and Luna Daciana. What can I do for you today?”

“I have not been feeling well for about a month, and I just thought it was the change in the weather from fall to winter, so I did not think of it, but it has gone on for a while so that is why it took me so long to come to you.” Daciana felt a little sheepish explaining herself to the doctor, but she smiled and listened to what he had to say.

“It is ok Luna I get that you did not want to jump to conclusions. Let me take you to draw some blood.” The doctor takes her back to do what he needs to do while  Marrok waits for them to come back. The results did not take long since the doctor did his own lab work.

“Well both of you can come back to the exam room, the results of your lab work came back, and it is an easy diagnosis. Luna, you are pregnant! Congratulations! If you want, we can do an ultrasound and see if we can see anything.”

“Uh yeah sure that’d be wonderful.” In a state of shock and speechless, pregnancy was the last thing on their mind. Not that they are not excited for this baby/pup just caught them by surprise.

“Let’s see…looks like you are still early on, judging by how small your little one is I would say about 6 weeks.”

“We got back from our honeymoon around that time…” Daciana blushed admitting that, they did have a good time on their honeymoon, but she did not expect her first time to end up like this.

“Well, then I would say you have a honeymoon baby. It happens and those who are; are extra special in my opinion, just the bond between parents and child is special. Now a werewolf pregnancy is a little different than a normal human one. A human one we all know is 9 months, a normal wolf is about 36 days, whereas a werewolf one is about 5 or 6 months before giving birth. Also, while pregnant Luna, you will not be able to turn into your wolf because we do not want to harm yourself or your child during the change. Now I know this is a big surprise for you two, but this is good news. For you two, your children will be the next Alpha or Luna to our pack.” They let that part of the news sink in for a minute…

“Then I would suggest being extra careful then to both of you.”  Marrok got serious and Daciana agreed but the doctor continued.

“I would like to see you every 2 weeks until you get to your mid-2nd trimester, early 3rd trimester then I’ll want to see you weekly.”

“Yes, doctor. Thank you for helping us solve what was wrong. Just not an answer we expected.” They started to leave the doctor’s office and went to tell the pack the good news.

“Listen up everyone! Daciana and I have some news.”  Marrok trying to get everyone’s attention by mind link but everyone was scattered about living their normal lives near each other. Everyone came in their human form since  Marrok did not specify to come in wolf form.

“What’s up Marrok?” asked Lyoll. In his human form, he had dark brunette almost black hair that went down to his mid-back, dark brown eyes, 5ft10, muscular, in jeans, and a dark blue t-shirt.

“What’s with the surprise meeting?” Calla showed up not long after Lyoll. In her human form, she also has brunette hair with blonde highlights, bright blue eyes, about 5ft7, larger built but toned, wearing a red v-neck t-shirt and jeans.

“If I knew that I wouldn’t have asked, Calla…” Lyoll being snarky and sarcastic, part of his charm. The rest of the pack slowly trickles in. Raff 6ft, auburn hair, kind of shaggy, about shoulder length, a tattoo of a wolf scratch on his shoulder, muscular, wearing a t-shirt, long-sleeve leather jacket, and jeans. When Raoul showed up, he is the second muscular wolf besides  Marrok, He is 6ft and all muscle which does help him with the lady werewolves. Short brunette hair and beard, chocolate brown eyes, wearing jeans and a long-sleeve forest green shirt, Amaruq 5ft10, short brunette, icy blue eyes with a vertical scar on his right eye from a wolf attack, muscular, wearing a long-sleeve leather jacket, a t-shirt, and jeans. Reika about 5ft8, wavy, shoulder-length blonde hair, almost about to rain cloudy grey eyes, a black shirt and hoodie, and jeans. And finally, Renouf 5ft10 black, wavy, shoulder-length hair and beard, golden brown eyes, wearing a black shirt and hoodie, and jeans.

“As you may have noticed that Daciana has not been feeling well over the past few weeks.”

“Yeah, it has been pretty obvious Alpha but go on…” Lyoll with his sarcastic side comments.  Marrok glares at him and makes a mental notice to head slap him later for interrupting him.

“As I was saying…we did get her checked out by the werewolf doctor, Doctor Luan, and found out by her blood work that Daciana and I are going to have our first child. She is 6 weeks pregnant.” Everyone is hooting and hollering and congratulating them.

“We should expect this child by summer, so we have time to get him or her ready. In the meantime, Daciana cannot change into her wolf form per the doctor’s orders because the child could possibly change with her and we do not want that to happen. So, she will not be able to hunt with us for the next 6 months.” As Marrok was finishing what he was saying some boos and awws of disappointment came out from the pack. Daciana is a great Luna who helps them with their hunts so not having her is a bummer to their hunting pack.

“I know it is a bummer, but we can manage for now. So, no hogging the treats after hunting…cough, cough Lyoll.”

“What!? Not my fault everyone leaves off the best part!” Everyone else chuckles and laughs at the comment.

“Anyway, besides our news, if there isn’t any more news meeting is adjourned.” No one else spoke up but the ladies gave Daciana some hugs and the guys smacked Marrok's shoulder in more congratulations and wanted to go celebrate with them. Since Daciana couldn’t be in wolf form they stayed in their human form and decided to go to a local village that wasn’t far from where their pack lived that they would go there to go celebrate the good news.
