Chapter 2

Drake was thinking about what Lucy said to him and sweating badly. he was wiping his sweat and trying to calm himself. At that time one of his department employees announced that they have to attend the meeting in one an hour with the president. He is going to select his secretary. she said and walked away from there. 

What!!! He is going to select a secretary like this. I mean he is president. He must want his secretary well educated and high profile but why does he want to choose his secretary like he is buying clothes. The thought. and it was lunch time.

Everybody got up from their seats and going for lunch but drake was still sitting on his seat and looking lost. He got up from his seat and looking outside of the window. Don’t know why but today he was feeling like something was wrong. He was not feeling good. He was looking outside and was lost in his thoughts then suddenly lucy came from behind.

“Hey, Drake what happened? why are you not going for lunch?” Lucy asked to Drake and he looked at her. as he looked at her, he remembered what he said to him in the morning. He clutched his palm tightly and tried to calm himself.

“No, I am fine. Just I don’t want to eat” Drake said to Lucy and smiled little.

“Then why are you sweating. The air conditioner is everywhere and the whole room is cold then why are you sweating. Are you sick?” Lucy said to him and then he comes to know that he is sweating. He wiped his sweat from his forehead and smiled at Lucy. But he knew Lucy if he did not go for lunch then she will ask him too many questions. and he would not able to reply to her.

“Nothing, now I am hungry. Let’s go and eat something” Drake said to Lucy and she narrowed her eyes on me. Drake did not pay attention to her and started to walk from there. She was looking at him and he was acting differently.  Actually he was hiding his face from her. he was walking fast and looking if she is coming or not. Lucy was following him closely.

They both went to the café of the office and Lucy went to order something good. But drake knew what she will bring. Actually he hates office café food but because of money, he had to eat café’s food. Office café food was not that tasty but it was not expensive. So he had to eat that.

She brings the food and Drake looked at the food and it was still the same. He breathed sadly and started to eat the food. He was eating and looking at his phone. He was using Instagram suddenly he got a message from Emma.

He opened the message and saw. he read that message and his eyes widened due to shock.

“OMG why this girl always do like this!!” he said in frustration and Lucy looked at him. Suddenly Drake got up from his seat and Lucy saw him. he did not eat properly. He only ate two or three spoons and got up.

“Hey, drake where are you going?. Please eat and after that, we will go together,” Lucy said to Drake and he looked at her and said.

“Lucy I will be back in half an hour. I have some urgent work,” Drake said to Lucy and she was shocked listening to him. She looked at her watch and said.

“Hey, Drake are you mad. Our meeting is about to start in ten minutes. How can you go like this?” she said to him. no, it was shouting. She shouted at him. this meeting was form president where he was about to choose his secretary.  And if he did not attend it , so it means he is insulting him.

“Lucy I have to go” Drake again said and put his phone in his pocket. But hearing him Lucy panicked and stood up from the chair.

“Drake!  Do you know you can lose your job if you do this? if they come to know that you did not attend the meeting then they will kick you about of the company” Lucy said to him holding his hand tightly and was not letting him go. Drake knew she was worried about him but he had decided.

“I know but no one will notice me. Mr President is going to choose his secretary and he will choose a well-educated, beautiful, hot and sexy girl. He is not coming for me” Drake said and run away from there. Lucy was looking at him going and he vanished from his sight. He turned her heal to go back.

Edward was walking out of his mansion towards his parking. He hurriedly walking like he is getting late but he was going on time.

“Edward!!” he heard his name. He stopped and turned around to look back. he saw he was jess. Jess was coming toward him.

“Why do you want to live in another house? Your dad is sad you know” Jess said to him and he was also sad because Edward wanted to leave the mansion.

“Don’t worry. I will come back to meet dad and you. you will not able to snatch my dad from me” Edward said to Jess and Jess narrowed his eyes on him. this is Edwards favourite line. which he is hearing for years. and now it does not work on him. he uses this line when he does not answer him. 

“I know today is the big day of your life. But please control your anger and don’t do anything which will only give you pain” Jess said to Edward and he smiled at him.

“I know. Did dad told you to say these lines to make me emotional” Edward smiled at him and he also smiled.

“Yes! My hubby told me to lecture you about all of this but I want you to do what you want to do. Go and get him and never let him escape from your hold” Jess said to Edward and hearing him Edward said.

“You just wait and see. My hold will be the shackles for him and he will regret his whole life” said it in a dangerous tone. And walked out of the mansion. Jess saw him driving his car in speed and smiled. he knew his obsession.
