(Natalie's POV)Thick fog was all I could see out my window in the morning, and I could feel the claustrophobia creeping up on me. (Natalie's POV)We sat at the end of a full table with several juniors, who the girl from Spanish quickly introduced us to. I forgot all their names as soon as she spoke them. They seemed impressed by her bravery in speaking to us. The boy from English, Eric, waved at me from the other end of the table.It was there, sitting in the lunchroom, trying to make conversation with seven curious strangers that I finally saw them.They were sitting in the corner of the canteen, as far away from where I sat as possible in the long, rectangular room. There were five of them. They weren't talking, and they weren't eating, though they each had a tray of untouched food that sat in front of them. They weren't gawking at us, unlike most of the other students, so it was safe to stare at them without fear of meeting an excessively interested pair of eyes. (Natalie's POV)I followed the two boys with my eyes as they left the front office. I looked back at Bella and could see the devastation in her expression. I was immediately concerned.What could have possibly happened in the last 5 minutes to piss him off so rigorously? And what was up with Jasper's reaction? His eyes, which had been a beautiful deep golden as we stopped off at our lockers, had now become a threatening dark inky was almost as if his pupils had completely swallowed up his irises.Maybe it was a trick of the light?
