CHAPTER 11

We walked in and headed straight to the family planning aisle. I watched her slow down and look at the full array of Condoms and lubes on the shelf. The way her cheeks flushed a bit, I could tell this was all new to her. I thought she looked cute and adorable as she looked at them and slowly averted her gaze. Then slowly she looked up at me embarrassed as ever, I bit back a smile and enjoyed the way she began to fidget.

We moved further down and my eyes landed on the last box of Plan B on the shelf and we just stood there staring at it. At the same time we reached for it and our fingers touched. Again, that sudden tingle zipped through my finger. I looked at her and right away I felt a sudden pull to her. As if an invisible net was pulling us together. All I could do was stare down into her beautiful face and get lost with the allure of her lips. Like a magnet pulling me closer, I had an urge to pull her into my arms and kiss her. The moment I was so close the voice over the speakers above us spoke, breaking the trance and making me upset.

Damn it! It was the worst timing ever. Again!

We separated and stepped back awkwardly looking away. I followed her to the register and paid for everything and we headed out to the limo where she stood and opened the box and took the first pill. I held the box tightly in my hand, watching her. The 2nd pill she has to take it in 12hrs.

And there it was. I should be dancing with glee right. I no longer have to worry about screwing our lives. But that's just it. I didn't feel any of that at all. I felt.... empty...

We pulled up to her home at about almost midnight. And I stepped out and walked with her to her door. There were no cars out so she was practically alone in this large home. I looked at the large structure before we climbed up the steps. It seemed something you can get lost in.

She turned to me and gave a shy smile.

I quickly reached into my pocket and pulled out my phone and handed it to her. She looked at me and frowned.

"I need your number, so we can plan our get together." I said.

"Our get together?" She looked at me confused.

"So we can work on the design," I grinned.

So I have a way to talk to you and hear that beautiful voice. My mind thought.

"Oh!" She smiled and typed it in.

She passed it back to me and reached into her purse and handed me hers.

I typed in my email and cell number and handed it back to her.

Then we stood in silence again.

The air between us thickened with anticipation and I could sense it, my body felt it. I didn't want to leave her here alone and I sure as hell did not want to leave without kissing her.

I stepped closer and held her gaze. I caressed the softness of her cheek. She was riveted to the spot her beautiful eyes never left mine as tilted her chin up and lowered my head to hers. Our lips inches away.

My chest tightened as she bit her bottom lip plumping it up just right. This is what I've wanted since the morning I woke up and saw her and the fact that she was just as eager for me to kiss her, made this moment so worth the wait. I pressed my lips to hers gently. God! She was so sweet and I felt so intoxicated with her scent. I couldn't wait any longer so I deepened the kiss. I tasted her tongue, nipped her lips, and claimed a part of her for myself. I reveled in all of this pulling her even closer. At some point I needed to pull away before I lose control.

I reluctantly ended the kiss, and pressed my lips to her cheek. She clung to me and it felt so right. I inhaled her scent as she buried her face against my chest. I could stand like this with her forever.

"I'll see you tomorrow?" I asked, not able to get the words out.

"Yes," she replied softly.

I nodded, leaning back to look down at her.

I watched her pull out her keys and slide them into the lock. She entered and turned to look at me. She waved goodbye to me and she smiled. That smile on her lips and the memory of their taste will hold me only for tonight because I'm gonna be searching for it tomorrow and every day after that.

I know I will.

I waited for her to shut the door and heard the lock, then the sudden beep of an alarm before I was satisfied enough to leave and walk it back to the limo.

I climbed in and as we pulled away, my phone vibrated. I pulled it out to look at it. It was a text from her.

"Thank you for everything,"

"Anytime Angel, sweet dreams"

I replied back to her.

"Good Night," she texted.

"Good Night," I texted back.".

****Stephanie's POV****

If I could describe what I was feeling right now it would be utter fright, confusion and uncertainty. From the moment I presented the design on the P&L bid, I was confident. I was a little nervous, but confident and excited because it all went perfect. Until, I saw him.

My eyes at that moment I thought were deceiving me and I thought my mind was playing tricks with me. I was in total shock that instant when I find out that the gorgeous guy I had a one night stand with is none other than Bernard Chase.

My heart was careening out control as I stared into beautiful gray eyes that were just as surprised to see me as I was to see him. Then we were introduced and we shook hands, they felt strong and warm. A part of me didn't want to let them go.

The strangest sensation washed over me as our fathers talked and then he spoke. His velvety smooth voice had a timber to it that made me tingle all over. I was basically standing in awe at the guy before me as I discovered we both have the same things in common. Who would have thought that?

Then my moment of nervousness set in when he asked if I could join him for something to eat. I was surprised when our fathers didn't think twice about it and agreed.

We left the conference room and walked in silence to the elevator. On the ride down I could feel his gaze on me. Would it be insane to express my desire to face him and kiss him? Wait, where did that come from? I can't be thinking this now.

My mind was playing so many scenarios on how to handle this, but I couldn't come up with a solution. I could barely face him. We finally arrived at a Japanese Restaurant and we were seated in a quiet, secluded section in the back. It was late so there were very few people around.
