10. Count on Reign

     Reign looked tired not her cheery self but she still fallowed me with out hesitation. Asking a million questions which seems to just be her thing, but today it was my turn. She has to know something at least about Lycian’s she asked all those questions maybe she knew our origin story. She did say the last time we spoke how she loved reading about supernatural stuff. We made our way to the school café I could use a coffee. We sat down at a table by one of the windows. She really did look off though guess I have to ask what’s wrong before I can start to question her.

“How you feeling today Reign you look a little off.”

“I'm fine slept like crap last night I had a crazy nightmare and you was in it.”

“You had a nightmare about me, what was I doing that was so bad that it made it a nightmare?”

“You wasn’t the reason it was scary there was a man and he terrified me.”

     I didn’t know what to say part of me knew who the man had to be. Especially after my nightmare but he wasn’t the scary part. Only thing about him in my dream that hurt me was he left me alone. I can still feel the pit in my stomach.

“What did he do that was terrifying?” 

“He was after you!“

“Oh what did he look like.”

“Well he was tall wore all blank he was big arms crossed his chest.  He was really intimidating and had dark hair that came just past his shoulders a scruffy beard and he looked so angry….. but Sol his eyes they was so black the blackest I have ever seen they was endless it mad me feel so sad and afraid.”

“Reign you said he terrified you how can he make you feel sad?”

“I don’t know I mean in the dream he came at me grab me by the throat and held me with one hand in the air. I tired screaming but nothing came out. But he was yelling where is she, what did you do with her witch? Then his grip got tighter and he pulled me close to his face and said she’s mine no matter where you hide her. Then you started screaming so loud like you was in the worst pain of your life. At the same time he dropped me and grabbed his chest all he said was Little wolf then the brightest light I have ever seen shot into the sky and he started screaming and fell to the ground. Then I woke up.”

     My heart was pounding in my chest so hard I could hear it in my ears. She did dream of him how is that possible. The light she described sounded just like what I saw when my mom died. If I didn’t know better I would say he was trying to find me to save me and Reign had something to do with it. But the light me screaming dose that mean I died.? And why would he try to find me. I need to stop thinking sometimes I mean it was just a dream and not even my own. I can’t help but feel like this is a warning some how.

“That’s intense Reign, what do you think it means?”

“I hope nothing cause whatever happened wasn’t good no matter how you look at it. But never mind me how about you what happened with Professor Zeil it seemed a little heated.” 

“Nothing really I asked him some questions about another class and he gave me a really rude answer. It’s kind of why I wanted to talk to you, I was just to annoyed to sit in his class today I’m glad you decided to bailed with me.”

“So what did you want to talk about?”

“Well you had mentioned how you like reading about anything supernatural I was wondering what you know about Lycian’s do you have any ideas about there origins?”

“Well yeah I mean I don’t have anything substantial, but a page in my family’s grimoire.” 

“Do you remember anything it said?”

“Well yeah but it’s stuff I already ask you about except few things. Like that Lycian’s are Hellhounds. Is that true, are you a Hellhound?”

“No I’m not I have never done anything that has to do with hell I can speak with the dead help a lost souls or two.”

“Also is says  Lycian’s are born not bitten. They have mates like soulmates they're destined to be with no matter what they wouldn’t be able to fight the burning attraction .”

“Burning attraction?.

“Yeah it literally says Burning like a feeling they get when they met their mates and it won’t go away until they complete the mating process. Once that happens they our mated for life. If anything happens to the other like if one of them dies the partner dies to. They are completely bonded no other creatures have such a strong matting bond but I guess it what makes for stronger Lycian’s nature’s way of creating balance. 

“They have no choice in the matter?”

”Not how I read it. It also talks about how the hounds are controlled by a divine being the first Lycian created by God in the beginning to guide souls and keep the demons In Hell.”

“Wait you mean it says that Lycian’s are created by God like thee God creater of all things God?”

“Yeah I guess I mean if you really believe all that angel demon stuff.”

“That book talks about Angels to? Dose it say anything about an angel name Uriel?”

“I really don’t remember I mean there is a section on celestial beings but I’m not sure it says anything about any specific angel by name. Why do you want to know about Angels anyway, have you ever met one?”

“No of course not! I just have a feeling about this that’s all.”

“Okay whatever I’ll take a better look at it when I get a chance.”

“Thank you I really appreciate it, I think I’m going to call it a day I had my own share of nightmares last night. I’m Going home.”

“Kay call me if you need anything I’m going to finish the rest of my classes."

I really needed to find a place to gather my thoughts and get all this information Organization in my mind what it all means the Lycians, angels, bracelets, nightmares, Him. I really wish Aurora would come back I still don’t know what happened to her or if I can even shift. She’s never been out of contact for so long ever. I can’t go home I don’t want to deal with Micah.  So I just I walked for hours going over everything and all my thoughts led back to him one way or another.
