24. Secrets

“Well that sounds romantic you taking a day trip in my head.”

He handed me a plate and sat down beside me. What was he not going to eat?

“Where’s your plate?”

“I’m good my diet is more specific as of late you eat I have something’s to attend to.”

He got up to leave and gave me a quick kiss.

“See I had breakfast.”

“Azrael wait I have a couple things to ask you first. I thought that once you told me everything Aurora would come back I still haven’t had any contact with her”

He just looked at me like he was thinking really hard about something.

“Can you sense her at all?”

“No. Well I did for a moment but it was like something is blocking her was it you?”

His brow frowned as he stepped back to me.

“I would never cut you off from her she’s part of you to hurt her means hurting you. We only agreed that she would keep quiet until I was able to tell you everything myself giving you the best chance to remember You should have always been able to sense her.”

“Well then something is wrong. What can we do about it?”

“I’ll have to make a call it sounds to me like someone has bound her.”

“Who could of done that? Why would someone do that?”

“Little Wolf I will find out, but I don’t think that’s the only binding that’s been done to you.”

“What do you mean I feel fine.”

“You wouldn’t know the difference it would of been done to you when you was very young. But you should have way more access to your angel side. I would like to start training you how to use your abilities.”

“I know how to fight what do you think I have been doing the last 44 years? I have had ways of protecting my self until I came face to face with you. I need to go back to where you found me I hung something very important from a tree. I would like it back.”

“No need to get angry Little Wolf I have it here. And yes you may know how to fight but you need to know how to control your power. I understand you haven’t had very much luck with it in the past.”

“What do you know I can control it enough.”

“No need to tell me, but I’m sure you remember a town called Blackwood or Kanesville.”

“How do you know about that.”

“You do remember I have been fallowing you for years I have seen the aftermath.”

“Okay fine! I’m sure your no saint your self go take care of whatever it was. I need to call Reign before she tries to scramble my brain again.”

“Sure Little Wolf I won’t be long just be careful what you say to her”

He kissed me and left I felt a weight on my chest the further away he got has I watched his wolf take off into the woods.

I went looking for my phone and leather pouch he said it was here I know my phone was in my pocket when I went looking for him. Quick look through the living room and den nothing to find so I went in to the bedroom. Started looking through the drawers nothing at first then I came across one the was a bit shallow compared to the rest. I pulled out the drawer and dumped everything on the bed a thin wooden box fell out. It had no locks no seams it looked like just a thick plank of wood something told me it was more then that. Back in the kitchen I was looking for something to smash it open with a mallet or something. Coming up empty handed I went back into the bedroom there was a brass statue of a wolf with a square bottom. It should be heavy enough. I took the box outside and placed it on the stone table that sat on the patio out side the bedroom.

I know I should respect his privacy, but something told me I had to find out what was in this box. I hit it as hard as I could nothing was working not even a dent I started punching it out of frustration. Still nothing but cuts it left on my knuckles walking away from it I heard a clicked come from behind me. Turning back to the box that was now open my heart beated a little faster. I stood there a second and just started working up the nerver to open it. It was now covered in symbols that wasn’t there before they looked familiar I couldn’t pin point it at the moment. Opening the lid inside was a parchment it to had the same symbols as the box. Azrael maybe angry when he finds out I went threw his things but he will tell me what this writing is. A blade that looked just like the one I have that I pulled from my mother’s chest and to vials. Both filled with a red liquid easily I could tell it was blood. Who’s was the question?

Suddenly I felt angry and sad for no reason. I took the box back in to the bedroom placed it on the bed. I continued to look for my phone and pouch and found both sitting next to where I found my clothes. I needed to calm down usually I would talk to Micah but I had no way to summon him and no Aurora so I called Reign like I planned to before this treasure hunt started.

“Hello!”

“Reign hi it’s me Soul.”

“Oh my god! Solaris I’ve been so worried I thought I would of heard from you sooner you have missed a whole week of school I have gotten copy’s of all the assignments for you. Professor Zeil says it won’t matter cause you was only in class 3 days that you dropped out. I told him you had a family emergency.”

I forgotten how much that girl could talk I don’t even think she took a breath.

“Thank you Reign I appreciate it, but I’m not sure if I will be coming back things here just keep adding up I still have a lot I am learning about my kind.”

“Oh Solaris you can’t quit we just starting to become good friends. I’m really scared for you I’m still having dreams about you with that scary man.”

“Trust me I don’t have to worry about any man.”

“If you leave now you could get back by Monday morning for class.”

“What do you mean?”

“You do know you are somewhere in Montana?”

I’m where? How the hell did I get here. He never did say where I was. I could hear howling coming closer to the house he wanted to talk when he got back well he gets to do all the talking.

“Of course Reign I’m on a mission of self discovery going where the wind takes me. How did you know I was in Montana?”

“Easy when I did the spell to communicate with you I had to do a location spell first.”

“Okay well just use a cellphone next time it less headachy. I have to go I will call you back when I find out more thanks again bye.”

I hung up when I heard Azrael coming through the door. When he entered the bedroom he had a huge smile on his face it quickly turned to a frown when he saw what was next to me in the bed.

“We need to talk Azrael!”
