LOGINMonica walked downstairs one morning and saw Olivia with a suitor and their mother, but Olivia was pale. Candice held her hand as the suitor tried to calm her. Candice just pointed to the study. She walked over and heard James swear.
“James?”
“Monica, I’m so sorry my dear.”
“What is it.”
“Dominic has taken my sister to sea. We believe he going to harm her, though we don’t know why he would act so rashly.”
“How do you come to know this?”
“Kiera’s personal maid, Penny sent a letter to father. He is furious.”
“Kiera’s been, kidnapped?”
“Yes.”
Monica started to shake, and James took her the chair. Jared continued to talk to the Duke.
“All of our resources our yours. Find him and her back. I may have shunned my son, but that girl is family to us.”
“My brother and I wont rest till we find her.”
“Go and keep me posted.”
Jared walked out and felt something strange as he saw Olivia. He couldn’t place it but walked up to her. He too her by the hand.
“I will her, don’t you worry.”
“You better, Jared Eddington. That’s my best friend.”
“I know.”
He kissed the back of her hand and left.
Monica stared after Jared as he left and prayed he would be successful.
Over the next couple of months, Monica and Olivia were in the same state. Olivia tried to meet her suitors but found it hard. James tried to comfort Monica but knew nothing would help until Jared returned.
James sent out letters to Garret but feared none would reach him. It had been a year and half since he last saw his brother. He had no idea what his brother was like but heard rumors.
He killed naval captains for sport, slaughtered men, had many women and was a full-blown pirate. He was the only one, however, not being hunted. John paid too much for him to stay away from a cell.
While they all worried, Dale started to creep back, but discreet. He knew the news of Kiera would distract them. He was having them watched. He wanted to know where they were anytime of the day. When the moment was right, he would strike. Until then, he just watched.
Three weeks later, Monica was sitting in the breakfast room holding little Jason when Kiera walked in.“He likes you.”“And I like him.”Kiera smiled as she down to eat. She was slowly becoming her old self again. The happy, carefree Kiera from what seemed like so long ago. She was bright and smiling and nothing seemed to wavier her mood. Monica looked up and from her position, saw the ex
Monica waited for a letter from Candice. James was happy for his brother but down about himself. Monica told him not to worry. Olivia was seeing her suitors again and James was her chaperone, so it gave him a distraction. The butler came in one morning and presented Monica with the letter she had been waiting on.

Months had gone by, and Kiera told Monica she could get used to Dominic. He was sweet and kind to her. Mainly she was afraid something had happened to Garret and she couldn’t think of him as dead. A masked ball was being held and she wished she would come. Monica talked to James, knowing Olivia was also going to be there. She was looking for possible suitors. James agreed, knowing Olivia would need chaperoning. Monica met Kiera and was happy to see her friend in good spirits. She looked stunning in her ball gown. James was at the Bradford mansion when he saw Garret in the study.
Monica showed James the letter and James took the letter to Garret. Garret was in his room surrounded by empty bottles. Things were broken and stuff was everywhere. Garret had fallen hard it was testing their father’s patience.“Garret, Monica got a letter from Kiera. She going to London. Her father wants her to start searching for suitors.”“Over my dead body.”He got up and rode f
