Raymond

There are no beautiful surfaces without a terrible depth. You believe it or not, you can't change the fact. Everyone is a moon and has a dark side, which he never shows to anybody. My entire life fills with darkness, and I get used to it. I don't desire for the bright side.

I am Raymond Knight, twenty-seven years old. I am the eldest son of George Knight, who was the sole owner of the Knight Empire. My father was also an Italian mafia leader and took his retirement six years ago. He handed over his whole Empire and mafia leader throne to me to take care of.

I have a brother, who is now seventeen years old and studying in college. He doesn't want to handle our family business. He neither wants to involve himself in our mafia world. He dreams to become a heart surgeon. We never force him about anything against his will.

I was only eleven years old when our mother walks away from home, left us in misery. I didn't know why. Later I came to know that she wasn't faithful in relationship with our father. He used to love that woman unconditionally. She was the only woman in his life.

I hate her. She was the reason our father involved himself with the dark world. He became cold, rigid, and merciless. He refused to handle our grandfather's mafia business earlier for the sake of his family's safety or mainly because of that woman. But after her, he chose to take the risk.

My brother Xander has not been aware of all those things. He was hardly two years old back then. Father and I, together took care of him till now. We never let him feel the absence of any motherly figure.

He became obedient and intelligent. From his childhood, he used to love learning science. At the age of his admitting pre-school, he confessed in front of us to become a heart surgeon and will treat our father heart on his own. Father laughed and encouraged him.

From the day our mother left us, I vowed never to trust any woman in my life. I despise them. They are not loyal and pathetic creatures.

After taking a step toward our family business, I became vicious and ruthless in the business field. I don't think twice to destroy a company that tries to put a finger toward our company. This business is just a facade in front of the world but the main is mafia business.

I stopped counting how many enemies I have been killed till now. I show no mercy to our enemies or their precious spies. Why would I? They purposefully crossed my path, thought to take down to me, they have to face the consequences.

I love to see the fear in those eyes, begging for mercy and even bribing to give secret information of their leaders. And that is the fuel of my anger. How come I show some mercy when they aren't even faithful to his leader? I don't need extra information from those spies, I have my ways to bring out the information if needed. They don't deserve to live.

My cold expression and intimidating persona are enough to make people fear. Fear is the weakness of those who easily become intimidated. Well, no one can make you feel inferior without your consent.

The most irritating thing is when women eager to come near to you without your consent only to throw them away in front of me by my guards. I hate them. It disgusts me. They don't have any self-respect.

I don't want a woman in my life. I am good in my way. But once father told me, "Not everyone's love story is the same as mine. Maybe I chose the wrong one, but I have no regret. I got you and your brother. Yes, I was broken, but that doesn't mean you have to build a wall around your heart. You also get to meet someone who would make your life upside down. You will instantly come to know that she is made for you. Just don't let her go and be a little bit patient. Always remember, 'When it's dark enough, men see the stars.'. I will be waiting for the day when you bring her to a family dinner.".

Our father still keeps faith in love. He is both soft and strict toward us. We love our old man. But sometimes his lecture on love suffocates me the most. I don't believe the day will come in my life ever.

But I wasn't aware of the fact that Love will come into my life like a storm. And I had no idea how to tame my lady-beast at that time. The journey would be amusing.
