The forest was quiet. A deadly silence that was suffocating as shifters alike hid in their dens, hollows, caves, and nests. They were all shaking, they were all waiting out the silence in hopes they survived the monsters that roamed the forest at this very moment. Hunters. Hunters had been stalking through the forest, searching for any shifter that was out and about unaware of the evil lurking about the sturdy pines. As the hunters stalked, a male fox was crouching in the snow. His coat a snowy white that provided camouflage as he slowly moved forward towards the grouse. He could already taste the meat but it wouldn't be going to him, it would be going to his mate and his three helpless kits. With the thought of a meal feeding his mate and kits he lurched forward, swiftly killing the grouse with a snap to its neck. Will made his way back home, the grouse between his teeth and a small vole dangled from his jaws. The grouse would make a decent meal while the vole would be more like a snack but it would make do. It was dusk by the time he arrived and he had realized, after putting his catch into a pile, that Jasper and Amber weren't there. The den was silent, only his hysterical mother making a sound.Will sniffed the ground and found that Jasper and Amber were recently there but left no too long ago. Maybe they had gone hunting, but that didn't make sense. Amber had already hunted and by the prey, she caught it was more than enough. There was that but why would Jasper go with her. Jasper was more of an herbalist rather than a hunter. So why leave? Why leave the safety of home. Unless they meant to leave. With that thought, Will pinned his ears back and let out a low growl as he sniffed the ground followed his sister's scents out of the den, and back into the snow-covered forest.Af

The large black wolf stood over Will as he cowered in fear and began to lightly growl. A warning to back off but of course, it wouldn't. All it did was come closer causing his fur to bristle and his growls to increase in volume. Fear coursed through his veins and his mind was in a state of panic and shock, not really knowing what to do.
