View MoreNathan had heard a series of cracks and pops, along with the occasional bone break. His mate was in pain but he couldn't do anything about it but it got worse when he could hear him whining in pain and confusion. It hurt him to know that he couldn't comfort his mate, who was under the bed, going through his first shift in who knows how long. Nathan had tried to crawl underneath the bed to get his mate out but his large build prevented him from reaching and comforting his mate. Will had only shifted once in his lifetime and the first time was never this painful but that could have been because he was a child when his first shift to a human came. Other than that Will had stayed in his fox form knowing that he had no need to shift into a human, so when he began shifting under the bed he was scared and by the end of the shifting process he was tired and aching all over. He didn't know how to use his human legs and he didn't understand how to speak in the human tongue. He was cold
Three days had passed since Will woke up in his mates home. His recovery went smoothly and today would be the day that Anna gave him the clear to do more stuff. She had scolded Will when she learned that he went out hunting, yes he had mostly recovered from hyperthermia and shock but there could have been side-effects that she hadn't realized or he could have gone back into shock. The scolding made Will feel like a kit being yelled at by his mother for going too far from the den. Nathan had comforted him after the scolding but he still felt guilty for leaving pack grounds. Will was content with his life but he was beginning to grow bored with his mate treating him as though he was something fragile. Nathan had made it up the stairs and into his room when his mate began to stir awake. He watched as the little fox began to yawn and open his eyes and Nathan finally noticed something peculiar about his mates eyes. They were beautiful, icy-blue that were like grey waves that shimmered in the sun but his eyes had a sheen over them. Where a black pupil was supposed to be there were none just cloudy icy-blue oceans. It was curious but none the less beautiful to Nathan who was pulled out of his thoughts by his mate knawing on his fingers. Although his mates' teeth were sharp and made to kill, Nathan felt no pain and knew that his mate was just doing chewing on his fingers in a playful matter. "Well look whos awake. I guess you're probably hungry." Nathan commented and the Knawing stopped and Nathan hears his mate's stomach grumble. "Well, I guess I'm right." Nathan said and put his mate on his bed, who immediately explored the new space that he was put on.To W
People were in the room when Will first woke up. He had opened his icy blue eyes just a little bit and could only see white. He had closed his eyes at that and he wanted nothing more than to shut off his scene of smell. Everything smelled sharp and disgusting. It was as if death himself came into the room and cleaned it. He let out a huff at that thought, unaware that he just drew unwanted attention to himself. "Is he up?" someone asked to Will's right, "I'm not sure. We could always get the Alpha to see if he responds to him." another responded to his left. "I'll go get the Alpha then." The right person said. Will heard something creak open and then shut quietly. Will kept quiet but the person in the same room as him didn't. "Well, little guy if you are awake then it'd be nice if you could shift for me. It'd make things a whole lot easier." the person said and Will took note that the voice was pitched, indicating that it was a female talking to him. Will just let out a
