SENDING GIFTS

"Eh? Why are you laughing at me?" Jillyanna asked with a pout that made her look so cute.

"I've never met anyone who can rile up your mood. It's my first time seeing your face changed to different expressions. I wonder who this person is." Cielo teased her but Jillyanna did not give in to her. In any case, she wouldn't be seeing that man in the future. Or that's what she thought.

However, destiny played cheerfully with their fate. Jillyanna didn't visit the cafe the next day to avoid bumping into him, but that didn't mean Travis would just stop.

Cielo was checking on their food display when the wind chime made a sound indication of someone's appearance. A delivery guy came with a bouquet of red roses.

"Uhh excuse me? Flowers for Miss Jillyanna." The staff looked at each other since they knew that their boss don't actually visit the cafe that often.

Cielo saw their surprised faces and went up to the delivery guy. "I'm sorry to trouble you. Are you sure this is the address?"

The man checked his note again to confirm. "Yes ma'am. Our client told us to send this here in Summer Cafe."

"Fine. Jillyanna isn't here at the moment. I'll sign it up for her." Cielo reached out for the form and signed it before getting the flower.

The man left in a hurry since he's got other things to deliver as well.

"My. My. This girl's spring finally came. I wonder who the man is." Cielo whispered to herself. She had seen the note but there was no name written on the paper. Just an endearment that would surely flipped Jillyanna's switch.

"Miss Yan's boyfriend is really sweet." whispered one of the staff who was working as the cashier.

"I know right. Those red roses were still fresh. He's rather meticulous for our boss. Just perfect." responded another staff who was cleaning the coffee maker.

Cielo just smiled while listening to them. Since she didn't have much to do, she decided to heed home earlier than usual.

Jillyanna was scribbling on her notebook while listening to a music. She just released a new song and it stayed at the top for dew days already so she wasn't in a hurry to produce a new one.

Suddenly, a bouquet of flowers appeared in front of her face. It still had some dews in it and the cut on its stem clearly shows it was just picked less than an hour ago.

"For me?" Her face lit up and she received the flowers to smell it. "You're so sweet."

"Oh? Giving you flowers is rather sweet, isn't it?" Cielo raised her brow with a mischievous face.

"Of course. I love flowers. I love red flowers." Jillyanna was hugging, smelling, and caressing the flowers when Cielo handed her a small paper.

Her mood turned a hundred-eighty degrees switch. She clinched her fist to crumpled the paper with a red face.

"This devil! I should have known! He is really annoying!" She stomp off her feet on the floor and hurried to throw the flowers on the thrash can.

"Such a waste. Don't you like it?" Cielo was just watching her funnily from the sideline since it's very rare to see Jillyanna getting flustered and mad. She didn't even give a damn about those haters online, but this time she wasn't able to control her emotions.

Jillyanna stopped midair from throwing the flowers. Then she looked at her best friend with a puppy eyes. "Cielo, if I accept this flower, does that mean I like him?"

"Nope. No one would know you accepted it. We can just say you threw it away if anybody would ask." Cielo answered her question to completely support her friend. She knew her heart would ache if such beautiful thing ended up in a trash.

"Then I'll take this."

However, that surprise didn't end there. Perhaps we could say, Travis didn't plan to stop in surprising her.

The next day, Cielo came back from work with Lucian holding a human-sized white teddy bear. Jillyanna was shocked to see such huge stuff toy inside their house.

Even Sky was also amazed. "Wow! That's really huge Lucian. Where did you buy that?"

"This isn't actually ours, Ma." Lucian spoke which gave Jillyanna a bad feeling. When she looked at Cielo, she saw an evil grin plastered on her face. Even Lucian was smirking at her.

"Oh my goodness! This couldn't be." Jillyanna was red from embarrassment. "Again?" She face-palmed herself internally.

Cielo gave her another small piece of paper that contains some words. I AM NOT WITH YOU ALL THE TIME BUT YOU CAN HUG THIS WHENEVER YOU FEEL SAD AND LONELY -Boyfie

Sky could tell what's going on by just looking at their faces. Especially the teasing face her daughter, Cielo, was wearing.

"So our Jillyanna has a suitor? When could we possibly meet him?" Sky asked staring at the big bear.

"That's not happening. He won't become my boyfriend. Ever." She throw the paper away in anger. But honestly, she felt a little sweet. 'Don't let this small gestures fool you!'Jillyanna chanted to herself again and again.

Lucian looked at her sulking face while still holding the bear. "You don't like this? Shall I throw this out?"

"No!" Jillyanna's instant outburst earned a laughter from everyone. "It's...it's not like that...I mean...it's cute and it's also expensive...You also spent some energy bringing this...Let me put it in my room."

 Jillyanna took the bear away from Lucian and left in a hurry as if the bear didn't weigh more than a feather.

On the third day, Cielo came with a box of chocolates. They were in different shapes which made it cute. A note was also written on a piece of paper.

Fourth day came and Cielo came home with heart-shaped pillow.

THIS PILLOW MADE ME THINK OF YOU WHENEVER I GO TO SLEEP. I'M GIVING THIS TO YOU AND HOPE YOU'D THINK OF ME, TOO. -Boyfie.

That was written on the paper that Cielo gave to her.

"Enough! This is enough! I'll beat him to death if ever he sent me another thing again!" Even though she said those words, she still accepted the gift.

"Is it the same delivery shop that sends these things to the cafe?" Jillyanna asked Cielo while punching the pillow as if hitting it would make her hit Travis as well.

Cielo put her bag on the couch before answering, "Yeah. I checked and they came on the same time each day."

"Good. Very good. I'll make sure to give him a beating tomorrow!" Jillyanna punched the pillow one more time before getting her tablet and search for the store name and their location.

 Cielo mentioned that the gifts were sent out everyday at three o'clock in the afternoon. The next day, she visited the store two hours before they would go out with deliveries.

Just as expected, Travis came with another gift to be sent. When he entered the store, he was stunned to see her there, standing with her arms crossed on her chest.
