Chapter 3

Right now, Hillary was fast asleep in her room. But without knowing it, a man was standing by the window of her room, and was watching her.

But the man was silent, and continued to watch her, without doing anything. But somehow, the man was watching Hillary, while the girl was sleeping.

The next day. . .

Hillary was enjoying a glass of drink, which was in front of her, as she looked around. And at this time, she is in her campus canteen, but only alone, because today Amy is not in.

"It's very unusual, Amy didn't go to college. In fact, she didn't even give me any news. Plus, her cellphone couldn't be reached, since this morning," she muttered, while continuing to pay attention to her surroundings.

"Akhem..."

She immediately turned her head when she heard the voice. But she frowned, when she saw Finn who was standing nearby.

Seeing the new student, made Hillary confused, and wondered to herself, since when had that man standing next to her? And why, she didn't notice?

"Can I sit next to you?" asked Finn, looking up at Hillary, and smiling.

"Of course," replied Hillary who was so short, nodding her head, and looking away.

"Thank you," said Finn, who smiled again. Then he sat beside Hillary, and looked at the girl from the side, "Why are you just alone? Where is your friend?" he asked, starting to open the talk.

"She's not in," Hillary replied flatly, without turning to Finn.

Finn immediately nodded his head, and looked ahead, while looking for talk material. Then suddenly, he remembered something, which made the girl act ignorant of him, "Oh yeah, I apologize to you" he said, turning his head to Hillary.

"Apologize? For what?" asked Hillary, turning her head towards Finn, and looking at him from the side.

"I want to apologize, for my attitude yesterday, when you accidentally crash me, but I was just being ignorant of you," he replied, smiling, and without taking his eyes off Hillary.

"Oh... That one. Yes, I forgive you" said Hillary, who remained flat, nodding my head.

"Thank you" said Finn, smiling and staring at Hillary from the side, "Oh yeah, your name is Hillary, right?" he continued.

Immediately Hillary turned to the man, who sat on her left, "Yes, my name is Hillary. But how do you know my name? In fact, we are not yet acquainted," she said, who began to look confused.

A smile was etched again on Finn's face, then he looked away, and said, "Of course I know, because we are in the same class, so it is not strange if I know your name, even though we are not yet acquainted".

Hillary also just nodded her head, and turned her gaze forward, without saying anything.

"Then can we be friends?" asked Finn, turning his head towards Hillary, and smiling at the girl.

Hearing what Finn said, made Hillary immediately turned to the man, and stared at him without saying anything. Then she nodded her head, and looked ahead, "Yes, we can be friends," she replied, which was still flat.

"Thank you Hillary, nice to be friends with you. And I hope, we can be good friends" said Finn, with a smile, and looked at Hillary from the side.

But Hillary just nodded her head again, without saying anything. But in her heart, she began to wonder to herself, why did Finn suddenly approach her, and want to be her friend? Does the man have a specific goal?

The time was 1 p.m. And at this time, Hillary was in her room, and was working on her college assignments. But suddenly, she remembered the time when Finn had approached her, and invited her to talk. Then the man asked her to be his friend.

"What a strange man. Yesterday, when he first met, he was ignorant of me. Then when Amy and I were in the canteen, he just kept watching me, as if something was wrong with me. But earlier, his attitude changed 180 °. Really weird" she muttered, looking ahead.

*phone ring sound*

She immediately woke up from her reverie, when she heard the voice. Immediately she grabbed her cell phone, which was above the nightstand, and stared at the screen which contained an incoming call, from Amy's number.

Seeing her best friend's name plastered on her cellphone screen, made Hillary smile, "Finally she called me too" she said. Then, she answered the call, and bring the cell phone to her ear.

"Hillary, my best friend" said Amy, on the other side.

"Amy, how are you? Are you all right? And, why don't you go to college today?" asked Hillary, who began popping her best friend, with questions.

"I'm fine Hill, and I didn't come in today, because last night I couldn't fall asleep, until morning. And that, made me unable to go to college".

"So like that, I thought you were sick" said Hillary, sighing with relief.

"No, I'm fine, Hill. Oh yeah, how about on campus? Then, what about that new student? Is he still the idol of the girls, over there?

Hillary immediately fell silent, and suddenly became a statue, after hearing the question her friend had just asked. And now, she remembered the man again.

"Hill, you're still there right?" said Amy on the other side, causing Hillary to wake up from her reverie.

Immediately Hillary nodded her head, and said, "Yes, I'm still here, Amy. That man, he is still the idol of the girls on campus, and seems like he will forever be like that. Because earlier, when I was walking towards the outside of campus, suddenly I just heard the screams of the girls, who called his name, then when I turned around, I saw the girls who were walking following him ".

"So like that. But in my opinion, it is natural, because he has a very handsome face"

"But you have to know one thing," said Hillary.

"One thing? What?"

"Earlier when I was in the canteen, he suddenly came up to me, and sat next to me" said Hillary.

"He? Who is he?"

"The new student," replied Hillary.

"You mean Finn?"

"Yes, indeed on our campus there are other new students besides that man?" said Hillary, rolling her eyes.

"Then did he invite you to talk?"

"Of course, he even asked me to be his friend," Hillary replied, remembering this.

"Wow, lucky you. I'm so jealous"

Hillary immediately rolled her eyes, after hearing what her best friend said.

"Then how, you accept his request, right?" asked Amy on the other side, looking so curious.

"Yes, I accepted his request to be my friend" Hillary replied, as she got out of bed, and walked to the window. Then she stopped her steps near there, and looked out, "But I feel strange to him, because suddenly his attitude changed like that. In fact, yesterday when he first met, he looked not liked me" she continued.

"Maybe because yesterday, you met for the first time. But I believe, he is actually a friendly person, and not arrogant"

"But I feel, if he approached me for other purposes," said Hillary.

"Another purposes? What?"

"I don't know, I don't know either," Hillary replied, shrugging her shoulders.

"What do you mean, he only approached you to subdue you?"

"Just to sabdue me? You mean?" asked Hillary, frowned, looking confused.

"I mean, so he deliberately approached you, to make you fall in love with him. Because, almost all the girls on our campus, all of them adore him. And only you, who look indifferent, and don't care about him"

Hillary immediately fell silent, and suddenly became a statue, after hearing what her friend said. And now, she started to guess, is what Amy really said?
