FAZER LOGINChapter Two
Sienna
RaeLynn showed up at my parents house bright and early with her travel pack.
Mom had told me stories of when she was a little girl before The Great War and the plague. She talked about cars, trains, and planes. Grandpa had been a traveler and they took a lot of vacations.
In Ambrosia, the only mode of transportation was your own two feet. RaeLynn and I had to walk thirty miles to S.E.X. University.
I didn't mind the lack of vehicular transportation. It was all I had ever known, anyway. I just didn't like having to walk all day to get there. Maybe if the walk was shorter it wouldn't be so bad?
"Do you have everything you need?" Mom asked us as we double-checked our bags.
"Yes, Mom," I responded.
"How about water and food? It's a long journey, honey. Why don't I pack you something?" Mom was nervous. I could tell. She acted the same way when Dyllan left for school. She wanted me to experience things for myself but she felt like she was losing me by leaving. She said about as much when Dyllan left.
"Mom, we're fine, okay?" I strolled over to my sweet, redheaded mother and gave her a tight hug. "I'll miss you, Mom. I'll call you every night. It will be like I never left. I promise." It was exactly what she needed to hear. She embraced me tightly and grinned.
"I'll miss you, too, but you're going to do great. I'm so proud of you, sweetie." I smiled and went back to my bag.
This was Mom's fifth go around. I was leaving. Dyllan left last year. Before him, there was Stefan, Amber, and Fiora. I loved my brothers and sisters, but once they left for college, my parents never heard from them again. It was like they forgot they had a family.
I said goodbye to Mom. Dad was never good at goodbyes so he was in his office. He was fine with saying goodbye at breakfast with 'good luck kiddo'. He was simple like that.
RaeLynn and I walked down the porch together and grinned big as we rounded the first tree in the front yard.
Holy cow. We were on our own now. We were adults. We were off to college.
"You know, the average person can run a mile in three minutes which means we could get there in ninety minutes," I stated and RaeLynn gasped.
"As if! I am not running thirty miles!" She nudged me and I laughed.
"Why not? We could make a bet out of it," I offered.
"No!" She held her head high. "I'm planning to lose my virginity tonight and I'm not going to do it with a pulled muscle. You will not poop on my party, Sie." I huffed. Was that really what her focus was on?
"Tonight? We will be exhausted when we get there anyway. Then there's registration and housing and--" RaeLynn's laughter erupted.
"Oh, sweet Sienna. I don't care how tired I am. I am sick of being a virgin. My pussy is getting fucked tonight and that's final." I didn’t fight her on it. RaeLynn was stubborn. I loved the girl like crazy. She had always been like family but she was as stubborn as a mule.
We spent time talking about our fun times together before this trip and, before I knew it, I could see the white steeples over the trees.
“Isn’t that it?” I asked and RaeLynn sighed with relief.
“Finally! I don’t think my feet could take much more walking.” Yeah, my feet were hurting too but we were almost to our destination. It would be great when we could settle in and relax, maybe even take a shower.
I pulled RaeLynn along until we reached the rod iron gate that had the foot tall letters spelling out the abbreviation of the school’s name across the gate.
G.U.
There was a woman maybe fifteen years older than us on the other side holding a clipboard. I noticed a chain around the gate as we approached.
“Good evening,” she said with a beautiful smile. “Are you first-years?” she questioned, and I nodded.
“Yes.”
“Can I see your acceptance letters?” I pulled my letter out of my jacket pocket and handed it to her through the bars. RaeLynn shuffled around for her letter before she produced it from her bag.
“That was scary. I thought I had lost it for a minute.” I rolled my eyes at her statement.
“You are so disorganized,” I scolded her and she stuck her tongue out at me.
“Welcome, RaeLynn, and….Sienna, what a pretty name.” I didn’t respond. I just gave her a nervous smile. People were always telling me how nice my name was. If they knew Mom named me after the model of the van my grandparents had when she was little, they would laugh in my face.
"Come on in, ladies!" She slowly opened the cringing gate and we stepped through. The place seemed pretty deserted. There was a lot of free space surrounding the five medieval castle-like structures. Each one had a big brass number on the front door, one through five.
RaeLynn and I walked with the lady over to a table she had set up with stacks of books and cardboard boxes.
She handed me three uniforms which I was pretty surprised by. I didn't think there would be school uniforms in college. My uniform differed from RaeLynn's uniform. We had a white button-down dress shirt, a plaid vest, and a plaid skirt. My vest and skirt were black and red plaid while RaeLynn's clothes were blue and green plaid.
We received three textbooks before the lady, Beverly, started escorting us toward our separate housing.
"This is going to be so much fun," RaeLynn mused and I rolled my eyes. This was not going to be fun. I had to worry about being preyed on by the coach from my own personal hell and I was expected to wear a uniform that showed way too much skin. The girls were probably nasty, the guys' jerks, and the professors probably didn't give a crap about anything.
"Yeah, sure," I quipped and looked up just as a man walked around the corner of building three. He was….the most handsome, show-stopping man I had ever seen that I could remember, anyway. Sun-kissed skin, deep ocean blue eyes, plump, pink lips, hair the color of the raven, curling at the nape of his neck, he was enough to make me catch my breath. He had muscles bulging out from under the sleeves of his teal t-shirt and they were accented by how he had his leather jacket slung over his shoulder.
"Ladies," he greeted us and I flushed. His voice rumbled with huskiness and depth. It was so masculine. The flutters of a million butterfly wings buzzed in my stomach and down to my knees.
"You're late," Beverly said snarkily and the man laughed.
"I am never late. Everyone else is just early," he retorted playfully and I snickered. That was really adorable.
"Can't you take anything serious?" Beverly snapped at him and he laughed. It was such a beautiful sound. Why couldn't I laugh like that?
"Maybe one day, Bev." Then, his eyes met mine. Those sensual, captivating eyes of his drew me in more than anything else. Then he smirked at me, sending me a flirtatious wink. Heat flooded my cheeks.
God, what was wrong with me? How did he get me all flustered with just a smile? He didn't address me in any way that should've gotten such a reaction from me. What kind of mystical powers did he possess?
"Hubba hubba!" RaeLynn giggled as she nudged my arm. "Can he be Sienna's life partner?" She joked and I laughed. Yeah, right. As if some guy like him would want a girl like me.
"Oh, he's not a student," Beverly stated quickly and I stared at her curiously.
That guy wasn't a student? He was too young to be a professor so why was he there if he wasn't a student? Maybe he was there visiting some friends? Could he be a staff member, like a janitor or something? That seemed plausible.
Beverly escorted us to our separate rooms in separate buildings. I was in building five while RaeLynn was in building three. Beverly escorted me to my room and I noticed a big group of girls in uniforms like the one I was given.
"Hi, Bev!" One redhead girl ran over to us and grinned at me. "Hi, you must be a first-year? My name is Daphne Jenner. I'm a third-year." She offered quickly with a big grin on her face. Jenner? Was there any relation to my infamous coach? I wasn't about to ask her.
"Hey, I'm Sienna Grace." I introduced myself and Daphne took the things that Beverly was carrying.
"I'll help her, Bev. Thanks." Daphne opened the door to my room for me. It was pretty simple. There was a full-sized bed with white sheets, two small dressers, a bedside table, and a vanity with a chair and drawers. Crisp white curtains decorated the window behind the bed and all the furniture were made of mahogany.
"Thanks," I said and Daphne grinned as she set down the box Beverly had been carrying on the bed.
"I remember what it was like to be a first-year. Everything seems pretty weird and Beverly is pretty much only social when you first walk through the gate," Daphne said as I slipped off my bag.
"Yeah, I noticed that. She was so uppity then introverted."
"That's just Beverly. She does a job she is not suited for but she opens up a bit once you get to know her. It's a bit strange because her life partner is the most charismatic man in the world. They balance each other out though," Daphne explained and I smirked.
"That's good. They are lucky then," I muttered enviously. All I had ever dreamed of was finding my life partner and having a family with him. "You don't really seem like someone that I would expect to be a Freaky Franny," I admitted and Daphne laughed.
"Yeah, I get that a lot. My mom nearly fainted when she saw where I was housed. My brother laughed like crazy. It took some time but I realized that I was housed properly. I'm right where I belong. I really wished I wasn't my first year. It was pretty painful since Declan Jenner is my brother and he is the lead coach of the school. I applied here to be close to my brother but I didn't want to be that close. Seeing him like that was a nightmare." Oh, god. Poor Daphne.
"Yeah, I heard some things about him," I said as I sat on the edge of my new bed. I was plenty hot from my journey but I was too self-conscious to remove my jacket in front of Daphne.
"Really? How?" Daphne's eyes widened like saucers as she took a seat next to me.
"My mom. She talked to one of our neighbors. Her daughter comes here and talked about things she saw," I explained and she nodded.
"Well, whatever you heard was probably true. Declan is good at his job but it still makes me cringe to think of the things I saw in that classroom. If it was anyone other than my brother, it wouldn't have bothered me. The people who get their panties in a twist about it are the Vanilla Creams. That's why they have a different coach than everyone else." That made sense.
"I get that. My parents were Vanilla Creams when they came here." Daphne cackled at that.
"They were probably mortified when you got your letter, huh?"
"I think my dad was. My mom practically jumped for joy when she saw who my coach was. My mom is a bit of a gossip." I gave her an apologetic grin and she laughed.
"Well, are you going to the masquerade tonight?" she asked. I hadn't heard of any masquerade. Was I supposed to know about this?
"Um, masquerade?" I answered her with a question.
"Beverly didn't tell you? It's a beginning of the year party each house has. It's a formal affair." Well, damn. I didn't have anything proper for such an occasion.
"That sucks. I have nothing for that," I grumbled disappointedly. I wished I could go. I would've liked to meet the others in my house.
"Oh, I can help! I'm training to be a fashion designer. I have a mass of racks in my room. Come on. We'll find you something." Daphne dragged me out of my room and we went across the building to where her room was. It was much bigger than mine, probably because of her majoring in design. She really did have a lot of dresses. Ten gold racks lined the walls full of a rainbow of hues in silk.
"Can you take off your jacket?" Daphne asked as she scanned through one of her racks. I was stiff with anxiety. I hated people seeing me without a jacket on. "What's the matter?" Daphne looked at me worried as I hugged my jacket to me. I didn't want Daphne to laugh at my body like so many other people had done to me before.
"Um, I just don't like taking off my jacket. I used to be really fat. I was made fun of a lot." Damn, did I say too much?
"Oh, Sienna! I'm not going to laugh at you, honey. I'm going to make you look damn tempting and screw those assholes. You're a beautiful young woman and I'll kick anyone's ass that tries to laugh at you." Daphne made a menacing face and I had to laugh.
"Okay, okay!" I slowly slipped off my jacket, only having a t-shirt on under it. She slowly nodded.
"I've got just the thing for you," Daphne muttered as she pulled out a black dress from the rack. It was really pretty but was a bit revealing.
"Um, are you sure?" It would showcase a large portion of my legs and all of my arms.
"Definitely. Go try it on in the bathroom," Daphne pushed and I knew not to fight her on it. She was so damn powerful.
I strolled into her bathroom and peeled off my clothes before pulling on the dress, zipping it up the side. I took a step back and examined myself in the mirror. The dress went to my knees and had a slit up the side of my leg, stopping at my hip. Strapless and hardly covering my breasts, the dress was pretty sexy but I still felt uncomfortable in it.
"Um, are you sure?" I asked as I walked out of the bathroom and Daphne grinned.
"You look incredible, Sienna! That dress was dreamed just for you. The color goes great with your complexion, too. You're a knockout," Daphne practically cheered and I was embarrassed.
"I just feel like I'm showing too much skin." I was so self-conscious about my body. Most people just ignored my insecurities but not Daphne.
"Sienna, I'm completely straight so don't think this is a come-on. If I were a guy, I'd want to take you to bed by looking at you. No one can even tell that you weren't always skinny. You're hot and you have a good body. The guys will be fighting for your attention tonight, probably even my brother," Daphne added the last part jokingly and I tittered with amusement.
"Oh, god! Not your brother!" Daphne joined in with me and gave me a big hug.
"I'll watch out for you, Sienna. You can count on me." I really could count on Daphne to look out for me. She was a great friend.
No one could've predicted how that night ended up turning out.
