"Let's break up," he said, in a casual voice. I was caught off guard; I heard my breath stopped for a while. Then, it finally hit my oblivious mind. He's breaking up for no reason. "You're just joking around, right?" I sounded hopeful, forcing the tears push back from my watery eyes. "I'm afraid that I'm not," his voice was almost noiseless. "Lies," I tried to sound firm, not concerning the tears dripping on my cheeks. "We promised each other not to tell lies." "Lies!" I yelled, not recognizing my own tone. "I'm sorry. This is the end for our three months of puppy love." "W-Why?" My voice cracked, then chuckled without a humour. "Am I not worthy to be loved? "Don't hope. It's hopeless, Ellie," he muttered, as if we had no relationship. "Tell me why!" I snapped. "Am I not worthy to be loved?" The next words he said shocked me, because his reason was unpredicted and hard to believe. Numerous piercing spikes prickled my throbbing heart while he beamed at me apologetically. "You are worthy to give up. My dream is much better than you. I couldn't concentrate with my studies with such a hindrance like you."
