Possession

Ru Shi and Huang Zi Tao had their engagement,Zi Tao had his eyes on Zhi Ruo all through out the event.

Ru Shi didn't come alone,her stepmother made her come with Jin Yong,and her father consented to it.

Jin Yong held her hand all through and never left her side, which Zi Tao, could not stand.

"who is that possessive fool?"he thought.

"Zi Tao..."Ru Shi called, he was distant.

"Yes"he absentmindedly said.

"We have to take our photos"she gleefully said.

Zhi Ruo and Jin Yong were away from the party, her stepmother wanted them to have some alone time.

"Your mother told me you take dance and piano classes"Jin Yong said.

"I also know how to handle a sword"she said, but it sounded more like a warning.

Jin Yong blew a nervous whistle.

"Let's go take some photos"he said, Zhi Ruo wanted to be left alone, but hey stepmother was clear that Jin Yong should not get bored.

Ru Shi possessively placed herself in Zi Tao's arms, she laid her head on his shoulder.

Both took multiple photos, and Zhi Ruo felt out of place.

"They look good together, don't they?"hey father asked, and she sighed, and looked at them.

"Yes"she said.

"What was that surprise you were talking to me about?"he asked.

Zhi Ruo looked at the couple, she wanted to yell

at the world, or cause a scene.

She wanted what Ru Shi was getting, the attention, the Fame, most importantly Huang Zi Tao.

"It wasn't good enough"she said disappointedly.

"Forgive me"she added.

"It's okay, any gift you give me is worth it.

You bring with me is a gift"he said.

"I never really got the opportunity to give you your gift"her father said.

She remembered that she ghosted herself, when she and Huang Zi Tao..... she rather not recall, lest she'd start blushing.

"I don't need all these gifts you still me with"Zhi Ruo said.

"You'll like this one"her father said and left her to enjoy the party.

"What gift?"she thought.

"Let's take a photo"Jin Yong said to Zhi Ruo.

"Why can't you disappear?"she thought.

She followed.

She wasn't really in the mood, she struck a pose, but Jin Yong surprised her with a peck on her cheek.

The camera man took their picture, and all attention was on Zhi Ruo and her date.

He held unto her waist for the next picture.

Huang Zi Tao was about to March up to them both and grab Zhi Ruo and dislocate Jin Yong's jaw and burn his hands.

"They can't be compared to us right sugar cookie?"Ru Shi asked Huang Zi Tao,but if only she knew how desperate he was to take his woman.

This secret affair would be harder than he imagined.

"what the hell are you doing?"Zhi Ruo asked Jin Yong, while smiling, in front of the camera.

"Taking photos"he said, while bringing his head to her shoulder for another shot.

"Who told you, that you could hold unto me?"she asked, surprised she still kept up the pretence.

"Your mother"he whispered,and that was what shut her up.

"Zi Tao.."Ru Shi called,Zhi Ruo looked in their direction, and saw Zi Tao storm out of the event.

His mother and sister followed.

"What's up with him?"Jin Yong asked.

Zhi Ruo wanted to run to him and cripple her Huang Zi Tao with hugs and kisses.

But to protect her family's honour and respect she had to put up this charade.

"Go over to him"her stepmother said to Zhi Ruo.

She had escaped Jin Yong,and now her stepmum wanted her to get close to him.

"He's in the East wing"she said,and Zhi Ruo nodded.

Zhi Ruo was an expert in geo,so if she pointed somewhere east,it WAS east.

Maybe her stepmum got it wrong,but When Zhi Ruo arrived at the East Wing,she entered the room,  and shrugged the just thought of Jin Yong.

She opened the doors, but met a sad Huang Zi Tao.

"Go away"he said to the person, not knowing who it was.

"Sorry"she said, he looked up and his face lit up. Without thinking he grabbed her, cupped her face and kissed her,she was surprised,and scared,but she knew that Huang Zi Tao was hurt and needed her.

"say it to me"he said in between kisses, she accidentally knocked over a vase, which broke, she turned to check if it was okay,but Zi Tao, pulled her face to his.

"Say it"he said, caressing her neck,"please"he said in-between something that sounded like a moan and a plead.

"I love you"she calmly whispered,trying not to moan. He pushed her against a wall.

"Tell me you are only mine"he said.

"That's what this is about?"she asked, she wanted to kill the passion before it escalated into something unstoppable and got out of hand.

"Say it"he said, his eyes desperate.

Zhi Ruo knew he meant it and it must kill him to see his love and someone else in public.

"Am yours, and only yours"she said, and he caught her lips.

And slid her dress off.

"Damn!"

"I hate this! I hate everything!"

A woman came in and held Ru Shi,Huang Yue,the mother of Huang Zi Tao.

"Calm down, what's wrong?"she asked.

"Mother, it's over! I'll never get sugar cookie"she lamented, smashing things in the room.

"But you are both engaged"She said and let her to a bed.

"He doesn't love me...."Ru Shi said crying loudly.

"Did he say that?"

Ru Shi nodded.

"Well love can come after you two are married"Huang Yue said.

"No"

"Don't be childish"She said, trying to wipe Ru shi's tears.

"I saw him and that ugly Zhi Ruo,they were kissing!"Ru Shi said.

"Wait, when did this happen?"Huang Yue asked,as she faced Ru Shi directly, interested.

"Barely some minutes ago"She said.

"You must have seen her and her date,not my son, he would never do anything against his father's wish"Huang Yue said,trying to comfort Ru Shi. And kill her doubts.

Ru Shi got up angry again.

"I saw them,and to be honest I have my own suspicions about their little pathetic friendship!"she said.

Huang Yue,never jumped to conclusions,but she also had her doubts.

"He's in love with her!"Ru Shi stated.

"You can't let that stop you from achieving your goal,because..."She placed her hand on Ru shi's shoulder.

"Am with you,and I assure you that I will not allow Zhi Ruo to marry my Zi Tao".

Ru Shi hugged Huang Yue.

She smiled knowing that she had a new Ally in separating Zhi Ruo from her "Sugar cookie"

"I've never heard of a man who leaves his engagement to get intimate with his lover"Zhi Ruo teased.

Huang Zi Tao smirked,they had both put on their clothes.

"Am one in a million"he said.

"You'd better get down there,am sure someone is looking for her..."

"Sugar coooookie!"both Zhi Ruo and Huang Zi Tao said in a high pitch, both started laughing.

"She does love you"Zhi Ruo admitted.

Huang came in close.

"But I love you"he said,and brought his head down,Zhi Ruo turned her head away.

"So you won't kiss me goodbye! Does it have anything to do with that date of yours"he teased,but he was hoping they weren't an item.

"Him? Jin Yong? Never! He's so irritating"Zhi Ruo said.

"You two were getting pretty cozy during those photoshoots"he said.

"You know Mr Possessive,I could say the same about you and Ru Shi"Zhi Ruo said.

"Are you jealous?"he asked,Zhi Ruo looked away,not wanting to admit she was.

"Well you shouldn't"he said,about to leave,he placed his hand on the door.

"If she's really all that attractive and good looking, or even half the woman you are, then she'd be the one in here with me"he said seriously and left.

Something warm coursed through her body at Huang Zi Tao's comment.

"That boy is yours"she told herself.

Jin Yong had left, her stepmum was mad but she wouldn't show it in front of her husband.

She overheard him telling his daughter about some gift, and she wanted to know what gift the old man had in mind.

"Zhi Ruo,come"her father said,she followed him to the garden.

Her stepmum followed,but hid behind a pillar within close range to listen to their conversation.

"I've always wanted to gift this to you,and I've decided it's time"he said,a help came with a tray,he pulled the lid and it was a sword.

"All that talk over an old sword!"Her stepmum thought.

"It was my grandfather's"he said to Zhi Ruo,he held it and presented it to her.

She was reluctant,she smiled,and bowed humbly and took it from her dad.

"I love it"she said and noticed an inscription on it, written in acient Mandarin,she couldn't interpret it.

"Through truth and transparent we thrive"he said

reading her mind.

"So dramatic"her stepmum said.

"Now my second gift"he said.

"Another!"his wife said,almost yelling.

Another help came in,with another tray,Zhi Ruo wondered at what other gift could her father have.

He opened the lid,and it was a piece of paper with a red ribbon.She picked it up,and read through it.

Then sobbed.

"I've got cancer"he said, she dropped the sword and the document and hugged her father.

"Yippe!"her stepmum thought.

"No!"she said.

Zhi Ruo couldn't imagine loosing her father,she was already so alone.

"Listen my child"he said taking her hand,he picked up the sword and placed it in her hand with the document. Then rested his aged hands on hers.

"Am leaving this Earth soon,and I leave my most important possessions in your hands"he said.

"Possessions? What was he taking about?"his wife thought, leaning in to hear, as his voice went soft.

"My sword,and my property,business and wealth"he said,with a warm smile, wiping Zhi Ruo's tears.

"No...No.. After all my hard work and dedication,I won't let this happen!"Zhi Ruo's stepmother said and left.
