1. Pursuing my love

"Aria have you made up your mind?"

It has been more than five times that Edrea Yoo asked me the same question, have I made up my mind? Of course. It's been a long time since I've decided to go after that man.

I smiled at her the countless time answering the same question with the same answer, "Yes, I have." 

All my stuff is neatly packed in my suitcase, just waiting for the car to take me to the airport. However, Edrea seemed so disappointed in me that she sighed repeatedly. 

"Edrea, you don't have to worry. I went to pursue my love, not to kill myself." I said calmly.

"Do you love that man? A man that you don't even know?" Edrea Yoo patted her forehead in disbelief.

"Trust me, Edrea, loving someone doesn't mean you have to get to know that person first because love just flows. I have kept my feelings for him since a year ago and I can't forget him until now.”

I went back to imagining my first meeting with Devian Baek one year ago at Edrea's Yoo fashion show. Our clichéd encounter at that time made a feeling for him, that man's face was always present in my dreams.

"Are you imagining that man again?"

Edrea Yoo tapped me on the shoulder and broke the image of the man of my dreams. I also frowned in displeasure. She has always been like that, never supporting me when it comes to Devian Baek. What the hell that made her not like him?

"Edrea, learn to accept it. He is my future husband." I said firmly.

Edrea's face turned green, maybe soon she will vomit because she heard my childish statement. It can't be helped, I already recognized Devian Baek as my husband. We even got married in my dream, yea, even though we never kissed in a dream.

Whenever I dream of that guy, I always hope he kisses me, but I always woken up by that annoying alarm sound. Of course, it wasn't my alarm, but Edrea's alarm, she got up early to go to work and was dubbed the 'Diligent lady' in her father's company.

What about me? Certainly, I work in the same company, why else would I be in Milan, if not fulfill my dream as a designer. However, this time I decided to return to Seoul and pursue my love, My hope.

"I want to throw up, but I respect your feelings, Aria. You're my best friend and I just hope you won't cry and get hurt, just because of a guy you don't know very well. "

Even though, Edrea said that she still couldn't accept my way of leaving my job here for Devian Baek. But I knew she didn't want to see me cry let alone hurt just for love and a man.

"Thank you, Edrea, I will fight for my love and not waste this opportunity," I said excitedly.

How could I waste the opportunity when I met Devian Baek. I will not repeat my mistakes when I first met him. At that time my tongue felt like it was gooey so I couldn't chat with him any longer. I gave him my name card and he probably remembers me, right? The thought of meeting him in Seoul made me so amused.

"Come on, now, don't daydream anymore Aria, it looks like the driver sent by my father has arrived. Come on, let's get off." Edrea took one of my suitcases and walked out first.

Meanwhile, I looked at our apartment, the one we've been living in since arriving in Milan 6 years ago from the start of our studies until we entered the company. Edrea wanted to live independently and didn't want to live with her parents, so we decided to live together in this apartment. There are so many memories here, suddenly my tears fall.

“Hey Aria Park, are you going back to Seoul, aren't you?”

Edrea shouted at the door, it seemed like she was waiting for me, but I heard her voice shaking.

"Hold on, Edrea, my suitcase is very heavy," I said while wiping away the tears.

After 39 minutes of driving from the apartment to the airport, we finally arrived at Malpensa International Airport, and we headed for the departure area.

"Aria, if you can't get that man's heart, come back and stay with me here. The men here are more handsome than Devian Baek. You've seen it yourself, haven't you?" Edrea raised her eyebrows, wanting to make me change my mind.

"Nobody is more handsome than Devian Baek," I said dryly.

Huh! I don't like it when Devian Baek is juxtaposed with the good looks of other men because in my eyes he is the most charming man.

"It's up to you. I give up." Edrea raised both hands in defeat.

My hands stretched out and hugged her tightly because I will miss my best friend. Edrea is the only friend and best friend since we were still in the womb. Indeed, we've been friends for 26 years and we ended up having to split countries because of my selfishness in pursuing the man that I love for one year.

"I will miss you very much," I added.

“Aria,” Edrea's voice turned serious when she let go of my childish hug and her face suddenly became serious. She moved her lips, "if you love him, never give up. Although at first, I didn't agree, if he is the happiness you wish for, then I can only give you advice from a friend. Just be yourself, Aria, don't turn into someone else when he doesn't look at you. You have to strive to get into his heart on your way, only then he might be touched by your sincerity."

"Edrea," the warm tears in my eyes plunged freely at the words of Edrea said. I did not think that she could say such touching words. "I won't forget what you said, Edrea, my best friend." 

We crying together.

"Aria, wipe your tears. Hurry up and go before I change my mind and set you up with my cousin." She said jokingly. Edrea tilted her head so that her tears wouldn't fall again.

I wiped my tears that were like the rain continued to fall. "I'm leaving, Edrea. Don't forget to call me if you're not busy."
