Life in the village is carefree where people do what they like, children roam around without strict disciple,homes are open to Neighbours just as gossips spread like wide fire. Everything is just fair and plain.Ada is used to this kind of life: climbing up and down town hill with her siblings to fetch a small galloon of water not up to 2liters which is just her perfect size, going to the bush to gather oji leaves for the goats and dry firewoods, spending the evening with her friends, building sand house on the wet ground and cooking sand-rice with komkom an empty tin of tomatoe. Any other thing apart from this is weird to her, This is just how she loved it.Christmas was around the corner and the city people had already started finding their way to the houses of their fathers. This is the only time in the year when she gets to see children who are from obodo oyibo(white man's land) one thing she loves about these children is the way they speak the white
