27. The Aftermath

I woke up alone, only to find Anthony was taking a shower. He was facing the wall with both of his hands stretched out, while he washing and rinsing his hair. I could see his delicious back muscles move, then he lower down one hand to his shaft and keeping the other on the wall.

"These are really real, dark and vivid, Lilian. I should introduce you to Janice, my sister in-law she has connections with art galleries owners. They might be interested in your work for their client listings." She flipped several of my drawings, looking at them intently.

"Really? You think so? Yes I would love to meet Janice. I mean with the school being over in a couple of months, I need something to fall back into. Thank you Lisa!" I hugged her and we talked more about Janice's exhibitions that she had been to.

I went home after meeting up with Diane. She was still worried about me. But finally relaxed, when I told her that Jack was already in custody and I was perfectly fine. We were lounging around by the pool, when she told me about Friday.

"I don't know if you're ready, maybe we should postpone this. I'll tell Brad. We can move it to next week." She told me.

"Damn it D! I said I'm good, it's your birthday! We're doing it this Friday or I'm throwing it my self for you!" I grinned at her. She knows how I throw parties, and she would not have it for hers.

She always says I throw parties like her grandmother. "Hey! That was my best one yet! Come on D, we can do an afternoon tea? Morning brunch? Oh I know...we can do evening dinner?" I clapped my hands excitedly, and she was shaking her head saying no. And I just laughed at her.

"This Friday then, it's settled. I just have to convinced Anthony." I smiled wickedly at Diane, while she just palmed her head.

"You really are good. I was really worried especially about your head. But seeing how eager you are about throwing me a birthday party, convinced me that you're good and still delusional at arranging parties. I love you Lilian, just don't scare me again. Especially for this Friday. I'll let Brad take care of everything, with my permission of course." We both laughed at her last words.

Diane left before dinner time, she was going to have dinner with Brad. I texted Anthony after she left.

So, what do you want for dinner? Cause I know I'll be having you afterwards. Miss u-Lilian.

His text came minutes later.

I'll be bringing dinner, I'm getting some steaks right now. Why don't you open the red. I'll be home in another fifteen minutes. I love the idea that you'll have me after dinner. I need to calm down now Lilian, see you in fifteen. Love-Anthony.

We're having dinner when I popped the question, about Diane's birthday this Friday at the club.

Obviously Anthony said no, but I said that we could go together. I told I wanted to go clubbing with him also, and said that it was Diane's birthday, and it has been a while since I went dancing.
