Chapter Two

Tae's face turned bright the moment he saw his little daughter beaming at him, looking as cute as ever with her golden-brown hair tied up in an updo bun and her sleeveless little black dress complimented her look.

"Dadda!!" Little Lia rushed towards Tae and clinged on his leg as soon as she saw him open the door. 

"Papa!" She called out to Thanit who came and pecked her cheeks softly after scooping her in his arms. 

The little giggled at the action and wiggled in her daddy's arms. 

"Had fun my princess?" Thanit asked his daughter. 

"Yeah Papa! Uncle New and i went to park and we ate eye-cream" she explained excitedly. 

The other three just laughed at her adorable mispronunciation. 

"My princess is the most adorable." Tae said pecking her cheeks softly. 

"Uh..New, give me the details of the business trip after you've rested. I'm sure you're tired as well." Tae told his handsome younger brother who'd been standing there for quite a while. 

"I will brief you shortly after I take a nap. You know, my beauty sleep." New stated cockily. 

"As cocky as you'll ever be. Well did you meet the others? I tell you don't if you haven't or else those two monsters will eat you alive." Tae said chuckling at the thought. 

"Well Tae, call the devil and the devil appears." Nine said over dramatically flipping his non existent long hair just the way a bitch would do. 

"Enough with the overdramatic entrance frog face." Gulf said as he pushed his twin to the side with his hands on Nine's face. 

"New~ I missed you!!" Gulf exclaimed giving his elder brother a headlock and flashing his million dollar smile.

"That's how you miss me you idiot! Leave me before I choke out and die!" New said trying to wiggle out of Gulf's  embrace.  

"Bad Uncle Gulfie! You should not fight! Dadda always says that it's bad to fight!" Lia huffed while putting her hands on her hipbone and giving her cute little pout. 

"Okay, okay, I will let New go only if you give me a kiss." Gulf asked wiggling his eyebrows. 

Lia just giggled and leaned in to give his favourite uncle a peck on his cheek and Gulf kissed her back on her cheek.

"Okay now I assume my baby girl is tired right?" Thanit inquired to which Lia nodded her head a few times. 

"Good! So let's fetch you something to eat before I put you to sleep. No funny bussiness or else you won't get to eat sparkle donuts on Saturday. Deal?" Thanit added. 

"Deal!" Lia said beaming. 

Tae just stood still and watched the interaction between his daughter and his husband which probably was the cutest thing he had ever seen in this world and the best thing he could ever wish for. 

Thanit carried her over to the kitchen listening to her explaining what she did the whole day with her Uncle New and he listened attentively, while New left to get his ever needed beauty sleep. 

"Nine, Gulf, I need to talk to you. Wait for me in my office." Tae said.

"Ummm... Tae, if it's about the thing we did today then we're really sorry. We won't do it again promise. Please don't ground us." Nine said nervously while rubbing his nape and looking at Tae with his irresistible puppy eyes.

"Yes, Tae. Were really sorry. We won't do it again. Please forgive us." Gulf added to the cuteness with his pout and batted his sparkly eyes a few times. 

Tae chucked at his brothers' undeniable cuteness and ruffled their hair one by one. "No it's not because of that and I will forgive you and not ground you only if you promise to not do it again." Tae demanded.

"Yes we absolutely promise." The twins said in unison, pulling out three fingers in front of them as a sign for their promise being sealed. 

"Good, now go and wait for me." 

They sat on the brown leather sofa placed at the right side of the vintange styled office just beside the door-sized wondow, waiting for their eldest brother to arrive. They nearly drifted to sleep as it took forever for Tae to come and they were super bored since they had to sit quietly in a place for 10 minutes which felt like 10 hours to them. Sitting still and being obedient was something they never heard about and simply couldn't comply to the conditions.

Tae walked in a few moments later and he was just on time before the twins lost themselves. He took a seat across the twins and sat down looking at them briefly before speaking.

"So, since you're in your last year of your university, have you figured out what do you both want to do? Since your internships will be starting soon." Tae inquired. 

"Ummm... actually we have applied to a few hospitals, but I'm not sure if I want to do the internship yet." Nine said sheepishly.

Both Gulf and Tae looked at Nine trying to figure out what he meant.

"Why do you say so? Do you have something else in mind?" Tae asked raising an eyebrow.

"Ummm...well I want to pursue another degree after this. I mean another specialisation. Like Dome." Nine added. Dome's father was their family doctor and their late father's best friend. Dome had been living abroad since the age of 10, pursuing his studies and now, is a renouned double board surgeon specialising in "general surgery" and "cardiovascular surgery."

The twins of this household as well wanted to pursue the profession as they found the said profession quite amusing since childhood and here they are in their final year of their university pursuing their bachelors degree in surgery.

"Hell no Frog face! You aren't going to study more! You're kidding right? Tell me you are and I won't call you a nerd!" Gulf asked in disbelief that his twin wanted to STUDY more! 

"Language Gulf!" Tae glared at Gulf. 

"Oops! Sawwwryy!" Gulf apologised over dramatically.

"What's bad in that? I wanna do it. What will you do?" Nine asked his twin. 

"Well, I'll stick to my grounds and complete my degree and specialise in one and do my internship. I just hope I get in Dome's hospital because I wanna learn so much from him when he comes back that is if he ever does." Gulf said sadly. 

"Well, then I have to tell you that Dome is coming back soon and...." Tae said pausing for a moment making the two overly anxious.

"...and what?" Nine asked curiously, bending over the round coffee table.

"...and, he's coming back for good that too this week!" Tae announced. 

The two suddenly started punching in the air. "Yessss! Yes!" The twins exclaimed with a huge grin.

"Wa..wait...this week?" Gulf asked at the sudden realisation. 

"We cannot meet him until next week then!" Gulf whined, kicking his legs.

"We will be busy! This guy here has his what not pageant I don't know and I have my football match plus my national level shooting match." Gulf added pouting and spreading his legs in disappointment.

"Gosh Gulf stop acting cute." Tae chuckled. 

"It's fine if you cannot. I'll let Dome know about your schedules and if possible tell him to drop by once and I am sure he will only if he doesn't decide to postpone his flight." He added.

Both twins nodded in unison and beamed. 

"So, now get your asses up and go prepare for your respective activities. Gulf if you want to practice, I'll tell Li Xian to open the shooting range for you. Nine if you need anything tell me." Tae asked his brothers.

"I'm fine Tae. I don't need anything but this guy here might need it." Nine said smiling at Tae and pointing his index finger towards his twin brother. 

"I'll surely need your shooting area to polish my skills." Gulf said being cocky. 

"Well then, I'll tell him to make it available for you and regarding your skills, let's see how good you are at it." Tae said smirking at his youngest brother. 

"Now kindly go and do your respective works and don't you dare be late for dinner. Stop troubling my beautiful husband so much you devils!" Tae retorted. 

"Yes sir, as you wish!" Gulf said bowing down and exiting the room walking backwards. 

"Gosh! Such an extra!" Nine sighed rolling his eyes at his idiotic twin. 

Thanit by then had fed his little daughter after much trouble and was on the way to her room beside theirs, to read to her till she falls asleep. 

It has become her basic necessity after one day her Dadda read her a book until she fell asleep. She has liked it ever since and wouldn't sleep a wink if not given what she wanted. 

He carried Lia to her bed but found out that she has already been sleeping in his arms. It might be because of the tiring and exciting day she had spent. Little Lia's room was like a wonderland as the lights hanging down from the ceilings were covered with cotton making them appear as illuminated clouds and beside her castle shaped bed was a white coloured wooden rocking chair ressembling the crescent moon and her favourite polar bear plushie which was taller than her in height. Her castle shaped bed had staircases on the right side, leading up to an overlooking balcony and a swirling slide on the left connected to the balcony.

Thanit tucked her in her frozen themed duvet and placing her favourite plushie to her side and made sure she was tucked in properly feelinf all comfortable. He gently caressed her hair and planted a soft kiss on her forehead, whispering her a goodnight and sweet dreams. 

When he was satisfied, he dimmed the lights and went out the room closing the door behind him, before glancing at his precious daughter once again.

She was their world and will always be. They had found her in Warnot Hospital, the one owned by Dome's family when she was just a month old and now it's already her second year with them.

They had no plans of adopting a kid when they were married only for a year by then, but something instantly made them attached to the newborn and they couldn't help but adopt her as soon as possible. She was disowned by her birth parents as she was a girl and they wanted a boy and Thanit laughed at them for their loss since they lost the chance to have such a precious gem in their life and everyone agrees to it as well. Lia was the sunshine and happiness of the house along with the twins and she surely had her parents and all of her uncles wrapped around her tiny fingers as they would go through any extent just to see her happy and smile. Heck they even fight withe each other over her. She surely was the loveliest and most precious and her birth parents just couldn't see what they've lost. 

They never felt like she wasn't their own child, but it was the complete opposite. They loved and adored her just like one would to their own child and it seemed like she completed the whole family.

With a contented smile on his face, he headed toward the kitchen to help the head maid in preparing dinner. 

As he took his turn to the kitchen, he was almost startled to death, seeing his best friend cum his husband's assistant and personal bodyguard.

 "Gosh what the fuck Li? Why are you haunting the hallway? Are you on some paranormal hunt? Even if you are at least make some noise." Thanit exclaimed calming himself down from the sudden scare. 

"Calm down Tha! I was just talking a check on the parameters and was heading to Tae's office since he had asked for me." He said guffawing at his best friend's reaction. 

"You're still a scaredy cat! You almost cried look at your eyes!" Li teased Thanit.

"I swear to god stop calling be a scaredy cat before I make you bald." Thanit scowled. 

"Whoa calm down tiger! Calm down. Not my precious hair. Well I'll bicker with you later cause I gotta go before Tae decides to fire me for being late." Li gave a subtle salute before disappearing like flash. 

"Stupid best friend." Thanit said shaking his head.

Thanit and Li Xian had been best friends since their grade school in Hong Kong as Thanit's family lived their for 8 years prior to their permanat shifting back in Thailand. They lost touch for 2 years when Thanit came back to Thailand but got in touch when Li too transferred in Thailand to pursue his studies and have been by Thanit's side ever since.

He gleefully entered the huge majestic marbled island kitchen. The interior was posh and classic with white light brown flooring along with two marbled countertops. The kitchen was huge and had enough space to fit at least 14 people together. The lights there hanged low giving a classic vibe and their were bar stools placed near the outer kitchen countertop. 

He marched towards Sarah a lady on her late fifties and the head maid who had been working here ever since Tae was a teenager. She was basically the mother of the family and everyone looked up to her with respect and loved her dearly and no one actually treated her as a maid. She had seen the boys grow and took care of them just the way a loving and caring mother would. She was just as attached to them as they were since she never married and never had kids of her own.

"Sarah, what's cooking tonight?" Thanit asked fashing his million dollar smile as he took his seat in one of the stools and eyed the lidded vessels.

She shook her head and directed him towards a chair. "I'm cooking New's favourite. Flavoured grilled chichen, chilli garlic prawns and spicy chichen curry with coconut paste. i want him to have his favourite since he's back home after two weeks and I know that he hadn't been eating properly so i wanna feed him." Sarah replied going back to adding finishing touches to her dishes.

"Oh. I see and trust me it sounds hella tasty that I already am drooling. Do you need any help though?" Thanit asked.

"Yes, you can, by sitting down and do nothing. That's how you'll be helping me." She said ruffling his hair. 

"Owh....no~ I wanna help because I have nothing to do and I am bored." Thanit whined like a child. 

"Sometimes I wander how can you handle Lia when you're a baby yourself." She chuckled. 

"I want you to rest since you tire yourself out by running after either Nine and Gulf or Lia and sometimes even worse, both. So listen to me when I am being nice or elese I will kick you out of the Kitchen and ban you from coming here." Sarah warned Thanit who just nodded in response not wanting to be kicked out of the kitchen, forever.

"I can do all those because I am a great dad to both Lia and Nine and Gulf." Thanit announced proudly.

"That you definitely are, without a doubt my boy." Sarah agreed. 

"Well I'll be done in half an hour, until then why don't you go and check on those two devils." Sarah suggested. 

"They are busy. One has his upcoming shooting match and the other has his pageant of god knows what." Thanit huffed. 

"So, I'll better accompany you till you're done. Oh...you're done already. Let me carry those to the dining hall outside." Thanit suggested and Sarah just smiled at him nodding her head. 

He carefully took the dishes out and placed it on the dining table, before calling everyone to come and have their dinner. 

Dinner was a family time for them, where they would get along together, talking about all the things they had done the day and where all the necessary teasing would be done along with the laughter shared. They shared embarassing stories and things they did the entire day and it was one of the many main reasons why the whole family was bonded so closely. 

It was always necessary to be present at dinner since it was a sort of family tradition and no one objected or defied to it but instead liked it all the more. 

It was a family bonding  time, filled with happiness and laughter, forgetting the fatigue of the day and all of them looked forward to it each and every day, none of them missing it ever no matter how busy they were.
