The couples spent the next weekends together more often than in the clique. Norbert and Jürgen discovered their mutual interest in motorcycles and spent their free time getting a driver's license. As far as I could see, no couple dared to go further than during the party. They went to the cinema together, sometimes in groups of four or six, or went out to eat together, but the next few weeks didn't get as intimate as at the party. From the frustrated remarks during work, you could hear that one or the other would have wanted to do more than smooch, but that there was a lack of opportunity (either courage or alcohol). Something always got in the way. Or was it the cowardice before the next step?
Eventually it got too stupid for me and I took Monika aside, from whose supposed experience I hoped to benefit:
"Moni, I want more from Maria, but don't know how and certainly not where", this time I openly asked for advice. Otherwise I was always the fairy tale uncle, this time she could do something for me.
"And I got more from Gerd, but he doesn't dare," she answered as expected.
"Shall we organize a party again?" Seemed the easiest to me.
"Yes, and I already know when and where. Let me do it."
Monika was probably a bit more experienced than the others and already had a plan. As she still confessed to me, it was actually only intended for Gerd and her, but whoever wanted to come along
