CHAPTER 10 - CONTRACT

The bedroom opened up to the living hall on one side and a kitchen on the other, its furniture sleek and clean. As I moved forward a double-height floor to ceiling glass opened up to the city, a black piano placed near it on a raised platform. I was mesmerized.

But the most amazing thing was the Japanese Wisteria tree which stood at the center, boxed by glass walls, with only the ceiling being opened to draw in natural light. It was beautiful.

' They look pretty because they are caged' a voice came from behind, making me flinch. It was him, the Master who had bought me. He had changed his dress, except now, the colour had changed from black to blue. He wore a suit, tailored to his physic, but he still covered his face with the Black mask.

He stepped closer towards the glass wall, placing his hands gently, ' If she was out in the open, none would take a second glance' he said in a deep tone as his eyes followed the tree's height.

'Because she is tied and held captive, away from her kind, she looks beautiful, like an untouchable flower, such is the beauty of a slave,' he said, meeting my eyes.

'It is not because they are held captive, that they seem to be untouchable, it is because they still bloom and thrive, irrespective of being captured. If the same tree had withered and died, you would have lost your interest, because you know they are determined to live, even in the harsh life you contain and imprison them, that is what makes them beautiful and untouchable. It is because they do not concede but strive to exist,' I say with confidence even as my voice wavers.

'You have a way with words, Miss....' He stops, so I can give him a name.

'Mia' I say

'Miss Mia,' he continues, 'It seems we have different perspectives about this world. I would appreciate you if they remain the same even after our contract ends' he says moving towards the living room.

I follow him hesitantly; he sits on the couch like a man who wields power, while I hold the hem of the dress, nervous, even when I boldly spoke because the consequences for my actions are always the worst.

He moves a brown envelope towards me. I open the envelope to find a heading which read, 'The contract between a Master and his Possession'.

It had 2 pages. As I ran my eyes through the contract, it shocked me. Noticing the instant fear developing inside me, ' there is nothing to fear, as long as you obey me, baby girl' he smirked, and my hands shivered.

RULE 1: The possession shall not have any intimate contact with anyone other than the Master.

RULE 2: The possession MUST at all times obey her Master, without defiance.

RULE 3: If she doesn't do the above then she should accept the punishment in the RED ROOM.

RULE 4: The possession shall not backstab, argue, and be in an illicit relationship, if found doing so then she will have to pay a penalty of 1 billion. ( Well now I understand why the possessions are slave....no middle-class family can have such an amount....I buried my eyebrows)

RULE 5: The master at any time can request a sex act from his possession and when doing so she will be on contraceptive pills.

RULE 6: The possession can voice her opinion if she's not comfortable with the s*x toys.

RULE 7: The possession can only mention the safe word after an hour of training in the Red room. ( This was surely to his favor, what is even the point of saying it after an hour when I'll be barely breathing).

RULE 8: The possession shall not touch, call, or ask for Master unless the circumstances require to do so.

RULE 9: The possession should not expect or have any delusions of becoming the Master's girlfriend or his wife.

RULE 10: Once the Possession falls in love the contract will be annulled. (When I read this rule my heart stung, this was purely a pleasure and business relationship).

RULE 58: The possession must stay with her Master for a year. ..it stated.

'What does it mean, when it says that the possession has to stay with you?' I asked, although by now I already knew the answer, I still had to clarify what little doubts I had.'You will be living with me in my mansion' he said.

'Where?' I asked 'here' I moved my gaze around the apartment, to be more specific, this penthouse. It never had the touch of a person living here, everything so precise and accurate, like it was sculpted to be that way.

'Not here' he chuckled, his deep voice vibrating as he spoke ' you will be coming with me to my mansion, it's on an Island I own, we will be leaving tomorrow' he said and I had to process all the information. What was he? A billionaire? or perhaps a trillionaire? I doubt the last word even exists but for this painstakingly handsome man, I wouldn't mind sending a petition to add the word in the dictionary.

'Tomorrow!!!!' I screamed in a shrill voice.

'Yes, Miss Mia' he said in a deep tone, I always wondered how he maintained his decorum, his voice monotone with no variation, but damn him for having a perfectly clean shaved chin, it was so kissable, for a moment I forgot the conversation at hand. 'hmm' I corrected my voice.

'But I have my family here, my job, my friends' I reasoned. His jaw tightened a little.

'Did you not willingly come into the black slave market, knowing the consequence, or I presume you were unaware when you joined, which, inevitably is a Joke' he asked sarcastically.

'Yes, in fact, I was kidnapped. Do you seriously think I would like to be treated this way, like a slave,' I backfired, remembering all the unpleasant events that took place. I wasn't going to quietly accept his demands. For all, I care I could punch him in the face if he hadn't paid 100 billion to buy me. I hated my conscience for having a soft corner for him.

'I see, that is why you are wild' he smiled, his lips dry, standing out from his clean-shaven face.

'Many women come to me for pleasure, while you reject it,' he says thinking.

'I am not like other women' I fired back; a deep sorrow wrapped my heart as the fact that he had slept with many women came slapping at my face.

'You have no choice, Miss Mia, the choice to choose was taken away the moment you stepped into that hall, amongst those men, auctioned and sold to me, now all you have left is your body, which will satisfy my need,' he spoke like a true businessman. (I damn cringed while writing this line)><
