Mag-log inMary showed up late to school. The assembly ended ten minutes ago and classes were about to start.
Instead of rushing to the class she took her time cat walking.
She reached the floor of her class and breathed a sign of relief. She took a step In the direction of her class when a figure blocked her way.
She look up and saw a dark skinned girl, standing in her way. She looked at her from head to toe.
She was tall but not taller than her, her natural hair is slicked back and packed in an afro puff, she looked confident and daring smiling up at Mary.
Mary glared at her not believing the sincerity behind the girls smile.
Her entire demeanor shouted fake and Mary knew such people very well.
"Why are you standing in my way?" She asked the girl.
"My name is Diane, i saw you closing period yesterday and took a liking to you, I want to be friends." the girl smiled wider.
"Sorry to break it to you Diane but I'm very picky when it comes to friends and you don't have what I'm looking for so I advice you walk away" Mary scoffed.
Diane was taken aback by Mary's rude remark, she had rumors that the new girl was extremely rude but now she had experienced it herself. And she was not happy. Nobody talks to her in that manner.
"You rude bitch, so the rumors about you are true! And did you know who I am in this school? People beg to be friends with me and yet I offered friendship to you on a golden platter" Diane angrily lashed out
"If your friendship was so expensive then you wouldn't have approached me bitch" Mary glared at her one more time before pushing her out of the way and walking to her class.
A figure hiding by the staircase watched the whole display with a smirk on her face.
She was the news caster of the school, the amebo mistress.
The class was in full swing when she got in.
"Why are you late to class Jackson?" The english teacher Mrs Afolabi asked her.
The whole class had their eyes fixed on her and for once she didn't like the attention.
"My car broke down on the way here ma, I'm very sorry." She apologized
"You can go have a sit." Mrs. Afolabi responded after throughly eyeing her.
She scurried to her sit and sat beside Angela. Quickly bringing out her english Notebook, textbook and Waec pass question and answer from her bag.
"Why were you late?." Angela whispered
"I woke up late." she simply answered
"Why" She looked at Angela with a puzzled look.
"Why do people wake up late Angela?." She asked in a sassy voice
"When they sleep late?." She questioned
"There you answered your own question." She finally directed all her attention to the teacher.

It was break time and the students are buzzing with energy. Everyone was hanging with their group of friends, talking about the latest gist that has been spread by Favour, the amebo mistress.
It seemed since Mary got to the school it was one drama after another.
Every minute was juicy and Favour was feeling high with pure joy.
With Mary causing drama she will always have gossip to share but not before spicing it up ofcourse.
Just like what happened this morning between Diane and Mary, she added Maggi and pepper to the story before sharing.
Just like she did when Mary and Dean faced off in the hallway.
Mary confidently strolled to the cafeteria with Angela by her side. This time she didn't bother joining the line, she just went to an empty table and sat down.
"Aren't you going to get something to eat?" Angela asked
"I hate standing in line, so you are going to go get us something to eat" She brought out one thousand Naira from her purse and handed it to Angela.
"I want a plate of jollof rice, with fried plantain, egg and meat. As for drink a can of Malt, you can get yourself something with the change" She said as she played with her phone.
She knows that Angela is more than capable to buy food with her own money but she wanted to repay her for yesterday.
Angela hurried to go buy the food.
While waiting for Angela she brought out her phone and started scrolling through Instagram with a huge smile on her face, she saw some pictures of her friends back in abuja and a few messages which mainly contains "I miss yous".
She felt a twig in her heart remembering how great her life was before moving to Lagos.
"Hey" Someone called out to her.
She looked up to see Diane and two girls staring down at her, she remembered one as the girl who was kissing Dean.
"What do you want" she asked in a bored tune, not in the mood for unnecessary drama.
"I just came to tell you, that you will regret rejecting my offer and insulting me" Diane smirked
"Is that the only reason why you and your pathetic group of friends are blocking fresh air from touching me?" Mary asked in a nonchalant tune
"If you have nothing interesting to say, you can as well walk away" she scoffed
Just then Angela came with their food, She nearly dropped them on the floor after seeing the schools Queens and meanest girls surrounding Mary.
She heard about what transpired between Diane and Mary in the morning but she didn't believe what she heard.
Diane and her friends looked at Angela in disgust.
"I thought you were smart and classy but now I regret thinking that, how can you hang out with this tramp, this scum of the earth?" Diane snorted
Mary stood up in anger and glared at the girls.
"Well I'll pick this scum of the earth a thousand times over you all, you girls are nothing but pathetic fools who parade around pretending to be what you are not! Come on Angela let's go eat somewhere with unpoluted air" She smiled at the girls and pushed Diane out of the way.
It's already Friday and Surprisingly nothing dramatic happened at school for the past two days. Apart from the glares shared amongst Mary and Diane when they passed by each other in the hallway.Mary was still at home arguing with her mom at the dinning table while her dad watched with a smile on his face.Mr Jackson is a middle ages man in his early fourties, he is darkskinned and stands at about 6'1feet tall, with a potbelly and bald hair that he tries to hide by barbing skin cut.He has deep brown eyes and a button nose, his ears are tiny like that of a childs. He is a very serious minded business man and that was the secret behind his success. Mary knew not what was going to happen. But she was certain she could face anything. She finally reached SS3c and walked in with quick confident strides.Catching the attention of everyone in class. All the boys watched her in awe and some of the girls too while others stared in jealousy as she looked too gorgeous. They were whispering amongst themselves but she didn't care. She loved and thrived on the attention she was getting. She looked around the classroom scanning the faces of the students where were graced with the opportunity of being her classmates. They looked too plain and ordinary for her liking but one person stood out to her it was a girl sitting at the third row.She walked up to the girl and gave her a once over. She studied her features, the girl was average looking, she was about 5'4 feet tall, she had short natural hair that was parked in a neat b
Mary groaned as she wore her new school uniform. She wasn't happy and she didn't hide her annoyance. She was starting all over again and as a senior in another school, which means her title as queen bee was gone.Back at her other school In Abuja, she was the 'IT girl'.The girl who girls wanted to be like and boys wanted as a girlfriend. She was very influential and must have a say in everything before it's concluded. But here she was, going to start afresh in a school she knew no one.Her mother yelled from downstairs, telling her that her driver was ready.Mary Jackson is the only daughter of one of the biggest business men in Nigeria, she was a precocious and pampered child. She got everything she wanted and was the definition of sassy, classy and assy.A dark skinned girl with long hair and long flawless legs.
