Chapter Eleven

My heart beat was very erratic as I was very scared that I was going to lose my job,that would have been terrible because without my job,no money for Evans and the bills won't pay themselves.I'm so grateful to Mrs Denise because if not for her I would have been jobless,but what the hell is Mr Grumpy's problem,huh.always taking drastic decisions.Hmph...Sitting down on the chair out in the lobby,I wait patiently for them to be done with their talking.Frantically tapping my feet on the floor I continue waiting for them,seeing as they have been talking for about ten minutes.Sighing I continue waiting,suddenly the door to my office is opened and Denise comes out with a stony looking Mr Liam.Walking over to me I quickly stand up waiting for me to be addressed.
"My dear I am so sorry for my son's act I promise it won't happen again and if it does remember I'm one call away" she said to me then turning she pointed to her son "And you make sure you are on your best behavior or you have me to contend with".Turning back to me she engulfed me in a hug,patting my back she let me go.Nodding towards me and her son she went towards the elevator leaving the building.
Having his mum here it was easier to ignore his presence but without her here it was impossible to avoid his intense stare or glare,its most likely the latter because that's all be ever does,never smiling always grumpy.
Bracing myself I turn my head towards his direction,I see him staring at me with no emotion,if I didn't know more I'd say he was plotting my demise,but he can't be,right?.Not knowing what to say I let the uncomfortable silence reign. Clearing my throats numerous times I finally get the courage to walk past him to my office but before I could take any step forward I was dragged back to my former spot by the brooding Mr Liam,pulling my hand from his tight grip I clutch it to my chest,rubbing it to sooth the pain I was feeling from the way he tightly gripped my hand.
Facing him I wait for him to address me or at least tell me why be dragged me back.After some seconds or minutes later he finally cleared his voice and spoke up"Miss Kayla I dont know what you did to my mum,or whatever methods you used for her to be on your side but I assure you that whatever hidden agenda you have won't unfortunately for you work."He said sneering at me.What the hell does he mean hidden agenda?And what did I do to Mrs Denise??Is this guy crazy!!?
Feeling a strong wave of annoyance wash through me I decided to give him a piece of my mind."Mr All high and Mighty,I know you think because you are very rich and famous it gives you the right to call me or anyone names or imply anything.You are a very annoying,ignoble and silly man for thinking that way I don't know how a man like you was born by a woman like your mother,she is so nice and sweet and you are very rude and uncouth man."I said heaving when I was done looking at him I see him staring at me surprise at the fact I yelled at him.Wait...I just yelled at my boss,the same boss who hates my guts,the same o e who was just about to fire me.Oh god I'm doomed,great job Kayla.
"I'm s-s-sooo s-so-r-ry s-sir I di-i-d n-not m-m-ea-n to s-sho-out a-at uh you,po eh a use f-for-rgi-ve me"I stuttered,my brave facade breaking revealing my timid side at the thought of losing my job,seeing as his mum is not here to help at this moment.
"Miss Kayla you should thank your stars that my mum has taken a liking to you if not you would be escorted out of this building with security and no vacancy opened to you in the whole business industry."he said to me arrogantly,but I did not do anything because I knew that what he said was true."But fortunately for you you still have you job but note this I will not tolerate any form of laziness at late coming,cause I'll not hesitate to fire you I mediately with no care,with that said I expect my coffee,black and hot,in my office in five minutes no more no less"he said and turned around,opening hia door he entered and closed the door with a thud,leaving me astonished with the fact that I still have my job.
Sighing contentedly,I head to the cafeteria to get his coffee,having gotten it I got into the elevator checking my wrist watch I see that I have about two minutes to get his coffee to him,hastily getting out I bump into a strong and thick male,pouring the hot coffee on both me and the man in front of me.Gasping I look up only to see....

Kayla's POVI am so late due to no one else but me but if you ask me it's not my fault that in hopes of getting a good sleep I put off my phone and turned off my alarm but unfortunately this resulted me in having to rush off to work,miss breakfast and having to stand here face downwards being reprimanded and cautioned by Mr Liam.In my defence I didn't know that there would be an emergency meeting,shaking my head I look up to see Mr Liam,face set in a glare looking at his phone, at this moment I feel bad for the phone due to the intensity of the stare on it. Still looking at him I notice his expressions changing from that of annoyance and frustration to thatof shock and fear.My guess is that Kyle noticed his expressions because he rushed towards him,still looking at them I notice that they converse for a while before the both sprinted out of the room leaving me and the rest of the staffs shocked

Liam's POVThere is something awfully annoying when you are being woken up by a phone call,an irrelevant one at that.That's exactly what happened to me,I was drawn out of sleep by my phone ringing picking it up I realized it was from the office,there was supposedly an emergency,an investor from another country just showed up and I had to go see him. The meeting was supposed to be next week but he got here earlier and now I had to go take care of that putting aside important plans I made to spend the day with mum.Already dressed and prepared I get into my car after kissing mum bye and sending a quick text to Kayla,since I've been calling her but it has been going straight to voice mail.Driving out of the garage I head towards the direction of the office reaching there in about fifteen minutes,hoping out of the car I enter into the building going straight towards the conference room where the important

Kayla's POVToday was finally Saturday a day where I have the chance to sleep in and not be tired out by Mr Liam, but that just had to be ruined by Noah who at first woke me upearlier than usual for a Saturday morning and he just had to promise Evan that he would take him to the park which of course I had to go to because Evan apparently wanted me with him but I don't blame him I haven't had any time to spend with him ever since I got this job because by the time I'm back home I'm always so tired that I just hop in bed sometimes without even having dinner.So here I was fully dressed,fed and ready to too by 8:00am because Evan wanted to spend a lot of time at the park so the earliest the better.Grabbing the basket I already filled with lunch and a couple of sandwiches and some bottled water I enter into the passenger seat having put Evan at the back with Noah at the driver seat.

Liam's POVLooking over to this clock on the wall I see it's five minutes past five in the morning. Getting up I head downstairs to the gym to do some workouts. Reaching there I hop on the treadmill and start working it.About an hour later I think,I'm totally sweaty and hungry from the intense exercises. Going to the kitchen I see Kyle already munching on food,grabbing my plate I serve myself some eggs coupled with bacon and an orange juice.Setting it down I see Kyle staring at me weirdly.Frowning I ask him what the matter is but he just shakes his head, shrugging I pay no heed to him.When done with the food I thank Benjamin the chef for the wonderful food and I go upstairs to take a shower and head over to my mum's house.After thirty minutes I'm done with my shower and I dress in a comfortable casual wear before heading to my car.On my way to my mum's house I rece

Liam's POVTurning the car around I head out of her street to the road and I grab my ringing phone.
