Chapter Twelve

Ok kill me now!!Why does this have to happen to me. First I spilled coffee on my boss now I've spilled coffee once more on somebody else.Why not name me the coffee drencher because that is all I'm good at.Fumbling with the man's suit,I rub on it with my hand,an attempt at removing most of the stain but to be honest I was ruining it the more.Looking up I start to apologize but the words are stuck in my mouth at the sight of the most cutest boyish grin ever and that is saying a lot as Noah is fire when it comes to looks but the person in front of me is a whole different but he isn't as handsome as Mr Liam...Ok where the hell did that thought come from!.
Getting a grip of myself I begin to apologize to the man but I'm cut short by his charming voice.
"Don't worry about it"he said while removing my hand from his stained shirt.
"Did any pour on you?"he asked seemingly concerned and I was stunned,most people when poured hot coffee reacts fiercely but he just said I shouldn't worry about it and is even asking if any poured on me. Where have you been my whole life mister?.
Shaking my head no in response to his question I bend down to retrieve the shards from the broken coffee cup.Carefully picking them up so as to avoid cutting myself I notice that the unnamed kind man had bent down to help me,so gentleman likea unlike Mr grumpy.
Gasp!Mr Gru...I mean Mr Liam gave me five minutes to get his coffee!!Oh god kill me now,if i don't lose my job today then I'll give thanks to the Lord...Hurriedly picking them up,I mutter a quick thanks and sorry for the mishap to the man and hightailing it out of there.Going back to the cafeteria to prepare another coffee for him and checking my wristwatch to see it has been ten minutes since I left the office making me five minutes late.I quickly board the elevator heading to the last floor,reaching there I alight and walk towards his office.
Knocking on the door I enter his office and proceed to his desk to drop his coffee,fervently praying and hoping in my mind that he doesn't realize that I'm a few minutes late but knowing who it is I doubt my prayers will do anything,but it isn't wrong for a girl to hope is it?
Standing close to the door I wait for him to address me and tell me what to do for the day or dismiss me.Watching him take the cup of coffee from where I placed it and taking a sip from it and dropping it back on the desk.Clearing his throat he says"Redo it"with no emotion leaving my mouth open.What the..why!?
Noticing my internal confusion and turmoil he asked smirking devilishly"Or do you have anything to say?",wisely weighing my options I grab the steaming cup of coffee heading to the pantry once again to make a new cup of coffee.
After few minutes of grabbing a fresh coffee I am back again in his office awaiting my judgment."Take those files I want you to go over them,photocopy it and fax it and I want it done in an hour"he said pointing to a huge stack of files and my jaw dropped to the floor,how am I going to finish those even the superhero Flash won't be able to in an hour that is how huge the stack is.Looking at him I notice a small devilish smirk on his stupidly gorgeous face.
Putting up a brave front I grab the heavy files,slightly tripping due to the weight of the files.Reaching my office I drop the files on the desk,making a loud thud,sitting on my chair I take a scrunchie out of my bag and put my hair in a bun,take off my shoes,getting ready to work.
Forty five minutes later and I have gone nowhere near half of the files,checking the clock I continue working hoping he wouldn't notice that once again I'm before deadline but knowing him it won't happen.
Standing up I prepare to head into his office to plead for some more time,straightening the invisible wrinkles on my skirt I knock on the door awaiting his response.
Hearing a muffled 'come in' I enter only to see not only Liam but 'him' as well...

Kayla's POVI am so late due to no one else but me but if you ask me it's not my fault that in hopes of getting a good sleep I put off my phone and turned off my alarm but unfortunately this resulted me in having to rush off to work,miss breakfast and having to stand here face downwards being reprimanded and cautioned by Mr Liam.In my defence I didn't know that there would be an emergency meeting,shaking my head I look up to see Mr Liam,face set in a glare looking at his phone, at this moment I feel bad for the phone due to the intensity of the stare on it. Still looking at him I notice his expressions changing from that of annoyance and frustration to thatof shock and fear.My guess is that Kyle noticed his expressions because he rushed towards him,still looking at them I notice that they converse for a while before the both sprinted out of the room leaving me and the rest of the staffs shocked

Liam's POVThere is something awfully annoying when you are being woken up by a phone call,an irrelevant one at that.That's exactly what happened to me,I was drawn out of sleep by my phone ringing picking it up I realized it was from the office,there was supposedly an emergency,an investor from another country just showed up and I had to go see him. The meeting was supposed to be next week but he got here earlier and now I had to go take care of that putting aside important plans I made to spend the day with mum.Already dressed and prepared I get into my car after kissing mum bye and sending a quick text to Kayla,since I've been calling her but it has been going straight to voice mail.Driving out of the garage I head towards the direction of the office reaching there in about fifteen minutes,hoping out of the car I enter into the building going straight towards the conference room where the important

Kayla's POVToday was finally Saturday a day where I have the chance to sleep in and not be tired out by Mr Liam, but that just had to be ruined by Noah who at first woke me upearlier than usual for a Saturday morning and he just had to promise Evan that he would take him to the park which of course I had to go to because Evan apparently wanted me with him but I don't blame him I haven't had any time to spend with him ever since I got this job because by the time I'm back home I'm always so tired that I just hop in bed sometimes without even having dinner.So here I was fully dressed,fed and ready to too by 8:00am because Evan wanted to spend a lot of time at the park so the earliest the better.Grabbing the basket I already filled with lunch and a couple of sandwiches and some bottled water I enter into the passenger seat having put Evan at the back with Noah at the driver seat.

Liam's POVLooking over to this clock on the wall I see it's five minutes past five in the morning. Getting up I head downstairs to the gym to do some workouts. Reaching there I hop on the treadmill and start working it.About an hour later I think,I'm totally sweaty and hungry from the intense exercises. Going to the kitchen I see Kyle already munching on food,grabbing my plate I serve myself some eggs coupled with bacon and an orange juice.Setting it down I see Kyle staring at me weirdly.Frowning I ask him what the matter is but he just shakes his head, shrugging I pay no heed to him.When done with the food I thank Benjamin the chef for the wonderful food and I go upstairs to take a shower and head over to my mum's house.After thirty minutes I'm done with my shower and I dress in a comfortable casual wear before heading to my car.On my way to my mum's house I rece

Liam's POVTurning the car around I head out of her street to the road and I grab my ringing phone.
