Chapter Seven

"Miss Kayla come to my office now" he said through the intercom.Ughhh I groan and stand proceeding to his office,putting my shoes back on I knock on his door before entering."Sir you called for me"I said as he seemed to ignore my presence.
After a few minutes of him clicking on his laptop,he closed it and finally acknowledged my existence"Yes I did,I called to ask if you've prepared the lunch reservation for my mum and I at the restaurant I told you to"he said to me.
"Yes sir the reservation is for two and it begins in an hour,I've cleared your meetings and appointments for a three hours time frame giving you enough time to discuss and have lunch with your mum"I said hurriedly not wanting to infuriate him the more as his mood seems far from pleasant.
"That's all you may leave"he dismissed me,nodding I left the office to mine,slouching on the chair I made an alarm for 45 minutes from now.
...45 minutes later...
Standing up I stretch to ease all the sore muscles from sitting down for too long,I grabbed my hand bag and headed to call Mr Hawkins for his luncheon with his mother
"Sir It's time for the lunch ,should I call Jeremy the driver or do you want to drive there yourself"I asked him"Don't bother calling Jeremy I'll drive myself and hope you are prepared for the meeting with Mr Smith after lunch with my mother"
"Yes sir I'm ready" "Then let's go before I'm late"he said and we quickly heads to the elevator,entering I nervously wait for us to reach out destination as being this close and alone with him is scary.
Ding...the sound of the elevator jolted me and I hurriedly came out with Mr Hawkins and we went out of the building to his car parked right outside the building,getting in he drove to the five star restaurant.Entering onside the building we see his mum waving at him from an empty table,going over we are seated before the waiter comes to take our order.I order pasta and a glass of orange juice while he and his mother order theirs I take a long look at the interior of the building.It was exceptionally beautiful with the red and gold curtains and tables matching.It was indeed a restaurant for the rich.I was jolted out of my thoughts by his mother's question towards me."Hope my son here isn't overworking you with tasks"she asked smiling at me
"No mam,he isnt"I replied smiling at her.The lunch went pretty well and I got to know a lot about Mrs Denise,his mother,she is a really nice and cheerful woman unlike her son who always has a frown on his face.I also got to know that she was sick and under medication and must rest as well as eat healthy.The lunch went on for quite a long time and by the time we were done the sun was already setting.We bade ourselves goodbye and Denise requested for a hug,when hugging me she whispered in my ear to take care of her son for her.Grinning I nodded at her request and followed Mr Hawkins to his car,entering into the passengers seat I buckled my seat belt and waited for him to drive."Reschedule my meeting with Mr Smith for tomorrow morning"he said."Okay sir"I replied and he nodded and started the car.
"What's your address let me drop you home"he said.
Is he talking to me?"Yes I am"Did I say that aloud? "Yes you did,now will you answer me I don't have all time to waste".Blushing a deep red I told him my address and turned my head to the window to avoid any other embarrassing situations.
Few minutes later he arrives at my apartment,muttering a quick thank you and a good night I alighted and made my way to my house not bothering to turn to see if he is still there.Opening the door I'm met with a burning smell coming from the kitchen,going there I saw Noah trying to turn of the cooker.Did I also mention that Noah is the worst cook on planet Earth.
"Noah what on earth are you doing"I asked more like yelled at him."Umm Kay I was just trying to cook so that when you come back you won't have to tire yourself when you bet back from work. I just wanted to be helpful"he said looking sad and pouting."You could have ordered take out and I'm sorry for yelling at you when you had good intentions but Noah don't you ever go near the kitchen to prepare anything ever again okay?"and he nodded,"Where is Evans,I haven't seen him since I got back"
"He is in his room doing whatever he always does when be is in his room"I chuckled and began to clean up the kitchen and make something for is to eat.After dinner I went to my rooms and took a long shower to ease all the stress.Putting on my pajamas I went to Evans room to see him already sleeping,I kiss him on his forehead and turn off his lights,I see Noah on my way out I tell him a quick goodnight to which he returns and he pecks me on the cheek,going over to my bed I lay in it and doze off.

Kayla's POVI am so late due to no one else but me but if you ask me it's not my fault that in hopes of getting a good sleep I put off my phone and turned off my alarm but unfortunately this resulted me in having to rush off to work,miss breakfast and having to stand here face downwards being reprimanded and cautioned by Mr Liam.In my defence I didn't know that there would be an emergency meeting,shaking my head I look up to see Mr Liam,face set in a glare looking at his phone, at this moment I feel bad for the phone due to the intensity of the stare on it. Still looking at him I notice his expressions changing from that of annoyance and frustration to thatof shock and fear.My guess is that Kyle noticed his expressions because he rushed towards him,still looking at them I notice that they converse for a while before the both sprinted out of the room leaving me and the rest of the staffs shocked

Liam's POVThere is something awfully annoying when you are being woken up by a phone call,an irrelevant one at that.That's exactly what happened to me,I was drawn out of sleep by my phone ringing picking it up I realized it was from the office,there was supposedly an emergency,an investor from another country just showed up and I had to go see him. The meeting was supposed to be next week but he got here earlier and now I had to go take care of that putting aside important plans I made to spend the day with mum.Already dressed and prepared I get into my car after kissing mum bye and sending a quick text to Kayla,since I've been calling her but it has been going straight to voice mail.Driving out of the garage I head towards the direction of the office reaching there in about fifteen minutes,hoping out of the car I enter into the building going straight towards the conference room where the important

Kayla's POVToday was finally Saturday a day where I have the chance to sleep in and not be tired out by Mr Liam, but that just had to be ruined by Noah who at first woke me upearlier than usual for a Saturday morning and he just had to promise Evan that he would take him to the park which of course I had to go to because Evan apparently wanted me with him but I don't blame him I haven't had any time to spend with him ever since I got this job because by the time I'm back home I'm always so tired that I just hop in bed sometimes without even having dinner.So here I was fully dressed,fed and ready to too by 8:00am because Evan wanted to spend a lot of time at the park so the earliest the better.Grabbing the basket I already filled with lunch and a couple of sandwiches and some bottled water I enter into the passenger seat having put Evan at the back with Noah at the driver seat.

Liam's POVLooking over to this clock on the wall I see it's five minutes past five in the morning. Getting up I head downstairs to the gym to do some workouts. Reaching there I hop on the treadmill and start working it.About an hour later I think,I'm totally sweaty and hungry from the intense exercises. Going to the kitchen I see Kyle already munching on food,grabbing my plate I serve myself some eggs coupled with bacon and an orange juice.Setting it down I see Kyle staring at me weirdly.Frowning I ask him what the matter is but he just shakes his head, shrugging I pay no heed to him.When done with the food I thank Benjamin the chef for the wonderful food and I go upstairs to take a shower and head over to my mum's house.After thirty minutes I'm done with my shower and I dress in a comfortable casual wear before heading to my car.On my way to my mum's house I rece

Liam's POVTurning the car around I head out of her street to the road and I grab my ringing phone.
