PROLOGUE

"Okay now we're live at kasama natin ngayon ang famous, handsome, billionaire, doctor, and businessman na kinahuhumalingan ng mga kababaihan. Let's welcome our guest! Mister Chase Monteverde!" The Host and the crowd applauded.

Napatitig ako sa TV at nakita ko ang lalaking minahal ko noon at mapa-hanggang ngayon. He looks way more handsome, nag matured man ang pangangatawan pero gwapo pa rin talaga. Hindi ko maiwasan ang hindi mapangiti ng mapait habang nanunuod ako nang interview niya. It's been 7 years, and watching him right now, is like bringing back the old feelings that I've tried to forget.

"Good day, Mister Chase Monteverede!" Masayang bati sa kanya noong Host, na halos mapunit na ang mukha sa kaka-ngiti sa katabi na lalaki.

Tinanguan at nginitian niya ang host, "Thank you for having me," sagot ni Chase bago tumingin sa camera at marahang ngumiti. Ibang-iba na siya sa Chase na nakilala ko noon. He looks more friendly now, kasi ngumingiti na siya kahit papaano unlike noon. 

"Sa mga hindi nakaka-kilala, Chase Monteverde is one of the Grandson of Mister Harrison Monteverde, the legendary businessman na hindi lang sa Pilipinas kundi pati na rin sa buong mundo, their Family is quite famous in business industry."

"At simula noong nag-aaral pa lamang si Chase at mapa-hanggang ngayon, he is quite talk of the town, dahil nga he has everything like good looks, great masculine and body like he's an ultimate perfect prince that you wouldn't thought, that he was really existing in this world." Mahabang litaniya sa kanya ng host, and every audience in the studio seems like they're agreeing of the host compliments. Yeah, right? He's an ultimate perfect prince.

"So, Mister Chase Monteverde, balita ko you study business in US at magna-cumlaude ka, is that true?" Unang tanong sa kanya ng nag i-interview sa kanya. The Lady seems like in the mid-30's.

"Yup, I studied in Harvard." Tumatangong sagot ni Chase sa Host. Everybody's in awed.

"Wow, you're really a cool dude huh. But aside from that, you also manage business, right? How can you handle it? Like you know? ..being a doctor and at the same time you managing business, aren't you having a hard time with that?" Sunod-sunod na tanong sa kanya ng nag i-interview.

"Uh, yeah I want to help my brother

"Aww, I think you are quite workaholic person," Ani noong host na kinatango naman ni Chase.

He shrugged, "I think I am." He replied.

"But well how are you feeling that maraming humahanga sayo? Like honestly.. You have everything, like fame, money and looks what else? I know every girls were drooling over you kasi nga you are Monteverde, and one of the young handsome bachelor here in the Philippines. Tell us Mister Chase Monteverde, do you perhaps have a girlfriend? You're very handsome, so it's very impossible that you don't have one," The host teased him kaya naman napakagat ito sa may ibabang labi niya bago marahang tumango.

"I'm engaged," He answered casually and everyone gasped.

My heart breaks into pieces. Habang nag uunahan ang mga luha ko sa pagbagsak. Akala ko hihintayin niya akong bumalik? Akala ko, ako pa rin pag balik ko? Pero akala ko lang pala 'yon. Kasi ako? Siya pa rin. Lahat pala talaga ng akala mali.
