Chapter 21

As I drive on my bike back to my place I'm in thought of Jace how I may or may not have an escape route from him he knows who's in my life also the people that I know, And I may have to marry him and that's what scares me the most marrying the most dangerous man I know. As I park in the driveway I see Reece come out with a brotherly comforting smile I feel a sense of relief as I turn my bike off running towards him squeezing him while trembling a bit still Jace plaguing my mind, he pulls me back slightly "Little sis what's wrong?" He asks I smile while replying "Nothing I'm just an emotional person your back and I'm really happy" he knows I'm lying he can always tell but doesn't press the topic further knowing I don't want to speak about it any longer.

I walk in to smell the scent of pancakes being cooked by Ryder I smile a bit as I see him flipping them probably knowing I was returning this morning making my favourite food he really does have a good heart behind that bad boy facade, "Hey...." I say smiling a bit towards him, he turns around smiling back but than a thought crosses his mind and I could tell he was holding something back, but I drop the thought and ask Reece "So how's college going for you?" He reply's while smiling "It's been going good I met a really nice girl but she's a bit clingy" he replied I raise my eyebrow "So that means your a match made in heaven" I say implying that he's just as clingy while bumping his shoulder, he laughs a bit bumping mine back as Ryder dishes up the pancakes my stomach growls in hunger. Ryder and Reece share a laugh I frown crossing my arms, I than wipe the sleep from my eyes still tired from not getting sleep as the nightmares still were plaguing my mind, "You should get sleep little sis" Reece said ruffling my hair, "Hey" I exclaim patting down my hair, I smile "I might....thanks for the pancakes Ryder" I said as I grabbed the maple syrup plonking so much on the pancakes.

I ran off with the plate as Ryder yells out "Your welcome" while laughing I head up to my room and get on the bed about to dig in to my pancakes with knife and fork at the ready but look to the left to see a letter. I frown in confusion while saying out loud "Who could this be from..." I than turned the letter over as my eyes widen at the hand writing it belonged to Jace, my hands started to tremble as I get it out of the letter opening the folded piece of paper.

I gasp as there lies 11 pictures of Reece, Janelle, Richelle, Maria, Cameron, Nigel, Mum, Parker, Wayne, Ryder and me I felt like crying this is a warning, a threat of if I don't marry him why can't he just choose someone else, just choose someone that's not me. I start bawling my eyes out trying to remain as quiet as I could "Dad what do I do he's now threatening everyone I care about why did you leave me with this with everything I can't protect anyone anymore I tried oh god I tried if there's a sign give it to me something if there's anyway please I don't know if I can go through with this much longer" I say out loud, I sniffle but than something had occurred Where is Liams photo why isn't he in here? I ask myself, something isn't sitting in my stomach right and I'm not liking this feeling 'Could he be the one feeding him informing him information, Ryder told me not to put any trust in him what if he's right could he really be the culprit behind all this. I chuck the letter across the room wiping away the tears angrily "I will not let you do this Jace to the people I love and care about I don't care whatever it takes but I won't let you lay a finger on one of them that I can promise you" I say out loud. I stuck my fork in my pancake eating it as I have to figure out a plan to keep everyone safe and I need the help of two people in particular.
