Chapter 22

Ryder's Pov: 

I sat there in thought anxious at what I might find out, what if she is really in danger, my left leg is tapping on the floor impatiently as I than see Rico's contact number calling me, I quickly answer it needing to know the information they gathered.

Rico: Hey Ryder I looked into her background and past, it's something your not going to like...

I gulp trying to keep my breathing steady but take a deep breath.

Ryder: "Continue" I state 

Rico: He sighed as I hear the flipping of pages "Where to begin...." he said than continuing "When she was 16, two years ago her mother and father were close to becoming bankrupt from the mother's gambling addiction and drug use, Her mother started having an affair with your father while her husband was working but also....having an affair with a woman not named.... that's a bit weird...but anyway the mother still wanted the arranged marriage because she was money hungry and greedy at the time...Rose's father used the rest of there savings to send her to rehab and ended up loosing money, bank records state that he was buying gifts and not for his wife but for his mistress....now on to this part....her mother and father wanted to give her away to Jace........Jace Levett" 

Ryder: My breathing stopped as the colour drained from my face 'Jace of all people why him'.

Rico: "So she got sent away to his for a couple of months and came back a different person it seemed she ran away from him....and I can't blame her his a psychopath, It seemed the father knew what was happening because when she came back he changed her name from Roselle to Rose not much difference and moved away" he stopped talking for a bit and took a deep breath and I knew something wasn't right.

Ryder: "I know there's more Rico what else?!" I demanded impatiently.

Rico: "You killed her cousin....Felicity" he stated

Ryder: 'Her cousin of all people it had to be her!' I thought "I don't regret killing her she killed Angel and I would do it again..." I seethe in anger.

Rico: "You better not let her find out....Ryder because you barely know her you don't know what she could be capable of she was with Jace for months we don't know what he did or made her do" he hung up.

I'm left in thought all of this information is piling onto my subconscious, I than hear pattering of footsteps coming from down the stairs, "Hey Ryder I'm going to be going out for a bit I'll be back later" she smiled but I could tell it was forced and that she had been crying from the tear stained face and red blotchy eyes, but she went out the door before I could ask her if she was okay, I sit there feeling curious 'why was she crying something must have triggered it' I get up and walk up the stairs curious but each step makes me uneasy if I'll find anything, I go into her room looking around at the state of it her room is trashed and it seemed she was pissed by the state of it.

I start looking through her draws, than under her bed, in her shoe boxes "Nothing" I said frustrated until I glanced towards her bin intrigued would she throw anything away, I walk towards the bin kneeling down I look through the bin and pick up  ripped pieces of paper that were in a million pieces I furrow my eyebrows and grab the plastic bag planning to take it to base to see if we could somehow piece it back together and decipher some words. 

Rose’s Pov:

“Is he serious he said that?!” Janelle said disgusted, “I can’t believe it what a sick freak taking a romantic poem and making it into a demented version of his own” Richelle exclaimed in anger, I replied “It’s sickening and he’s already making threats he knows where you live and everyone else I can’t win....” I say while placing my face in my hands, I dragged them down my face shaking my head a little “What am I going to do?” Janelle and Richelle look at eachother as if having a telekinesis conversation, “You remember how dad was in the army right” Janelle said, I nod as they get up Richelle sighs and said “Come on we have something to show you” as we walk towards there parents room I feel as if I’m intruding I look around “So what did you want to show me?” I ask curious, they smirk as Richelle stands in front of the bookcase “Richelle Rowana Glowans” she says as I hear a beep and the sound of the bookcase opening my mouth hung agape as I said “Holy mother....of god....”.
